A Calculus of Mobility and Communication for Ubiquitous Computing
We propose a Calculus of Mobility and Communication (CMC) for the modelling
of mobility, communication and context-awareness in the setting of ubiquitous
computing. CMC is an ambient calculus with the in and out capabilities of
Cardelli and Gordon's Mobile Ambients. The calculus has a new form of global
communication similar to that in Milner's CCS. In CMC an ambient is tagged with
a set of ports that agents executing inside the ambient are allowed to
communicate on. It also has a new context-awareness feature that allows
ambients to query their location. We present reduction semantics and labelled
transition system semantics of CMC and prove that the semantics coincide. A new
notion of behavioural equivalence is given by defining capability barbed
bisimulation and congruence which is proved to coincide with barbed
bisimulation congruence. The expressiveness of the calculus is illustrated by

The Design and Implementation of Middleware for Application Development within Honeybee Computing Environment
Computing technology is now moving from ubiquitous computing into advanced ubiquitous computing environment. An advanced ubiquitous environment is an extension of ubiquitous environment that improve connectivity between devices. This computing environment has five major characteristics, namely: large number of heterogeneous devices; new communication technology; mobile ad hoc network (MANET); peer-to-peer communication; and Internet of Things. Honeybee computing is a concept based on advanced ubiquitous computing technology to support Smart City Smart Village (SCSV) initiatives, which is a project initiated within Digital Malaysia. Ubiquitous computing: a learning system solution in the era of industry 4.0
Ubiquitous computing, which was initially advocated by Mark Weiser has become one of the keywords to express a vision of the near future of computing systems. The "ubiquitous world" is a ubiquitous computing environment with integrated networks; computer integrated manufacturing system (CIMS) and invisible computers which equipped sensor microchips and radio frequency identification systems. Anyone can access the ubiquitous computing systems anytime and anywhere broader, without individual awareness or skills. Ubiquitous computing is becoming crucial elements to organize the activities of groups of people by use of groupware under workforce mobility. The computer-supported cooperative work is transforming from telework to ubiquitous work with new information and communication technologies that support people working cooperatively. Ubiquitous learning is a demand for the knowledge workforce for more multi-skilled professionals. It is a new and emerging education and training system that integrating e-learning of cyberspace and mobile learning of physical space with a global repository that has the potential to be accessed by anyone at any place and anytime under ubiquitous integrated computing environment. In this paper, we discuss the study of emerging trends through the implementation of work and learning that influenced ubiquitous computing technology prospects. Furthermore, the perspective of ubiquitous work and learning system, gaining quality, and hence credibility with emerging information and communication technologies in education and training systems in the area of the education system are discussed. The experimental results showed that CIMS could improve the students learned more efficiently and achieved better learning performance

Improved Adaptation and Survivability via Dynamic Service Composition of Ubiquitous Computing Middleware
These days, ubiquitous computing has radically changed the way users access and interact with services and content on the Internet: novel smart mobile devices and broadband wireless communication channels allow users to seamlessly access them anytime and anywhere. Middleware infrastructures to support ubiquitous computing need to support an extremely dynamic and ever-changing scenario, where novel contents/services, devices, formats, and media channels become available. Service-oriented architectures and service composition techniques have proven to be the key in designing flexible and extensible platforms that are able to reliably support ubiquitous computing. However, current trends in service composition for ubiquitous computing tend to be either too formal and, therefore, poorly used by average final users, or too vertical and poorly flexible and extensible. This paper proposes novel service composition middleware for ubiquitous computing that relies on a translucent composition model to achieve a flexible, extensible, highly-available, but also easily understandable and usable platform. The proposed system has been widely tested, benchmarked, and deployed on a number of different and heterogeneous ubiquitous scenarios

This Free Roaming consists of a distributed authentication system, a data caching system and a communication system between them. It allows user to roam within this system and access his data everywhere. Semantic-based policy engineering for autonomic systems
This paper presents some important directions in the use of ontology-based semantics in achieving the vision of Autonomic Communications. We examine the requirements of Autonomic Communication with a focus on the demanding needs of ubiquitous computing environments, with an emphasis on the requirements shared with Autonomic Computing. We observe that ontologies provide a strong mechanism for addressing the heterogeneity in user task requirements, managed resources, services and context. We then present two complimentary approaches that exploit ontology-based knowledge in support of autonomic communications: service-oriented models for policy engineering and dynamic semantic queries using content-based networks. become considerably smaller, cheaper and more pervasive. These result a creation of small things that
can access the internet in order to optimize their intended purpose. It gives birth to new technology
trend called “Ubiquitous computing”. Ubiquitous computing is an emerging technology that brings
new dimensions to distributed computing. It uses a wide variety of smart, ubiquitous devices
throughout an individual’s working and living environment. When it comes to ubiquitous computing,
mobile objects and mobile agents are forerunners. Mobile agents are considered a very interesting and
emerging technology to develop applications for mobile and distributed computing. Since they present
a combination of unique features, such as their autonomy and capability to move to remote computers
to process data there and save remote communications, they can be widely used in ubiquitous
