Advances in the Convergence of Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence

    Get PDF
Blockchain (BC) and artificial intelligence (AI) are currently two of the hottest computer science topics and their future seems bright. However, their convergence is not straightforward, and more research is needed in both fields. Thus, this book presents some of the latest advances in the convergence of BC and AI, gives useful guidelines for future researchers on how BC can help AI and how AI can become smarter, thanks to the use of BC. This book specifically analyzes the past of BC through the history of Bitcoin and then looks into the future: from massive internet-of-things (IoT) deployments, to the so-called metaverse, and to the next generation of AI-powered BC-based cyber secured applications

Body/Machine Configurations: Perspectives on Humanized Technologies in the Electronic Arts

    Get PDF
This paper analyses diverse relationships among body and machine in contemporary electronic arts, through a set of artworks that suggest different perspectives on humanized technologies. The collected artistic projects display particular interactions between the notions of artificial and organic in the present era characterized by information explosion, big data, blockchain and artificial intelligence. From the crossroads between art and technology, the article inquires the intersection of virtual bodies and physical sculptures, organic bodies monitored by technological devices, animated bodies created with computer software and electronic bodies technically sensitive to natural phenomena.Fil: Adler, Yasmin. Concept of Integration of Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence

    Get PDF
Blockchain is a secure, decentralised way to move and store data. Whereas AI is a process which makes use of learning through self and is founded on the examination and identification of patterns in vast volumes of data. It also evaluates and makes judgments based on the study of a lot of data using supervised or unsupervised learning. The foundation of this essay is a conceptual understanding of how blockchain and AI could complement one another or how blockchain might help AI. It indicates that both can eventually be combined for the advantage of both businesses and the people dealing with it. Keywords— Block-chain technology, AI, Pattern Identification, integration, self-learning, blockchain and AI convergence

Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Technologies for Balanced Foreign Trade: Replacing Exchange Function of Money

    Get PDF
Today, the capitalist economy has entered into a dead end. Unemployment is expected to reach an unprecedented level due to the rise of automation and artificial intelligence technologies. The creation of excess fiat money will not be a remedy for the collapse of the capitalist economy. In the future, a new economic model open to government intervention will be needed. Moreover, if global monetary system collapses, government should find a solution to continue foreign trade in order to meet the needs of their citizens. Trade unions are classical means that increase trade among the member countries, but they cause imbalance in mutual trade volumes. The advent of blockchain and artificial intelligence technologies will bring an end to the obsolete and outdated foreign trade methods. These technologies will also lead to the emergence of balanced trade unions across countries. This paper focuses on defining a new system known as intelligent trade matrix, suggesting that this system will allow barter transactions between two countries without imposing any customs duty

Using Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence in Energy Management as a Tool to Achieve Energy Efficiency

    Get PDF
Improving energy management has received a lot of attention due to environmental issues, energy crises, and growing energy prices in today’s world. Various digital technologies have been developed to enhance energy management to cover these challenges. This article investigates Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence, which have recently attracted increasing attention. The study applies the software of VOSviewer for providing bibliometric analysis. The data (pull of the scientific documents) was generated from the Scopus and Web of Science. There have been done a critical analysis of the literature for evaluating the research in the proposed area. This paper focuses on possible use cases of blockchain and artificial intelligence technologies and considers aspects of technology used to achieve energy efficiency. The findings showed that the technologies are widely applied in energy management. Besides, it is lack of documents that contain the terms ‘energy efficiency and ‘blockchain’. The results of analysis confirm that artificial intelligence has been rapidly integrating with energy management, helping to develop more efficient and secure energy generation techniques

Complementary and Synergistic Properties of Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence

    Get PDF
Artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain are likely to bring powerful economic and social effects. Blockchain's ability to cryptographically validate identities and transactions and create immutable records can enhance trust, transparency, and accountability. Part of the fascinating character of the AI stems from the fact that computers perform better than humans in repetitive tasks. Their judgment and intelligence are not affected by emotions, feelings, and needs. They have better memories and can process large amounts of information.1 AI, thus, enhances efficiency and provides new opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation. What is even more important is that AI and blockchain have strong complementary capabilities that can have dramatic effects on the performance of industries and markets. Each also has a potential to improve the performance and functioning of the other (see Figure 1)

In this special issue, we want to gather some innovative applications that are currently pushing forward the research on Blockchain technologies. In particular, we are interested also in those applications that put the focus on the data, enabling new processes that are able to leverage relevant knowledge from the data. This special issue will be successful if readers gain a better understanding on how Blockchain can be applied to very diverse areas, and might even be interested in designing, implementing and deploying an innovative solution to a completely different field of knowledge. We hope this Special Issue can provide a better understanding and key insights to readers on how Blockchain and artificial intelligence are cross-fertilizing to revolutionize many aspects in our societies
