Little Core Based System on Chip Platform for Internet of Thing

    Get PDF
Although the technology scaling has enabled designers to integrate a large number of hardware blocks onto a single chip realizing System on Chip (SoC), problems arising from leakage current have made power reduction an important issue. The IoT platform has restricted power consumption because of battery power. In this paper, we propose our little core based IoT platform focusing on the low power and expandability. The experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of our proposal to the IoT

Long-range monitoring system with PDMS material

    Get PDF
This paper describes the development of a long range monitoring system that integrates Cottonwood: UHF Long Distance RFID reader module with Raspberry Pi 3. When a UHF RFID tag is within the UHF RFID reader antenna’s range, the unique ID of the tag will be transferred to the Raspberry Pi 3 to be processed. Then, the data will be sent over to the database wirelessly to be managed, stored, and displayed. The paper also describes the measurement done to determine the most suitable thickness of PDMS material so that it could be incorporated as a wearable transponder. After the result is calculated and tabulated, it can be concluded that the most suitable thickness of PDMS material for the transponder is 8 mm

Reducing of the production expenses and preventing software intricacies is one of the software engineering aims. So, many method and methodology such as object-oriented, component-oriented, aspect-oriented, and service-oriented are preferred for developing software engineering. Model driven development is one of the methodologies that had considered recently and is growing rapidly .modeling the program logic and then changing model to a practicable code by some tool automatically will be the aim of the model driven development. In this paper we investigate some model driven methodology and also we’ll preferred MDA mapping to RUP.DOI:http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ijece.v3i3.224

Coplanar waveguide low pass filter based on square complementary split ring resonator with wide rejection

    Get PDF
In this paper, we present a novel coplanar waveguide low pass filter (LPF)structure based on the use of square complementary split ring resonators (CSRRs) in order to enhance the performances of a low pass filter. Especially, to enlarge the bandwidth of the LPF, the insertion losses and to increase the rejection of the LPF. The CSRRs are optimised and inserted periodically along the center conductor of the CPW line with a CPW ground integrating stubs permitting to enlarge the bandwidth. The simulation results of this filter show a -3 dB cut-off frequency equal to fc = 5.28 GHz. The designed filter has a good rejection in the stop band which below -20 dB and presents a good insertion loss in the bandwidth. The proposed filter has been fabricated and tested which give a good agreement between simulation and measurement results, the whole dimensions of the validated filter are 35.48x21.16 mm2. The originality of this work is the wide rejection band and the miniature dimensions

A review on various optimization techniques of resource provisioning in cloud computing

    Get PDF
Cloud computing is the provision of IT resources (IaaS) on-demand using a pay as you go model over the internet. It is a broad and deep platform that helps customers builds sophisticated, scalable applications. To get the full benefits, research on a wide range of topics is needed. While resource over-provisioning can cost users more than necessary, resource under provisioning hurts the application performance. The cost effectiveness of cloud computing highly depends on how well the customer can optimize the cost of renting resources (VMs) from cloud providers. The issue of resource provisioning optimization from cloud-consumer potential is a complicated optimization issue, which includes much uncertainty parameters. There is a much research avenue available for solving this problem as it is in the real-world. Here, in this paper we provide details about various optimization techniques for resource provisioning

A Modified K-Means with Naïve Bayes (KMNB) Algorithm for Breast Cancer Classification

    Get PDF
Breast cancer is a second biggest cause of human death on women. The death rate caused by the breast cancer has been fallen since 1989. This downfall is believed as a result from early diagnose on breast cancer, the awareness uplift on the breast cancer, also a better medical treatment. This research proposes the Modified K-Means Naïve Bayes (KMNB) method on Breast Cancer data. The modification which has been conducted was an additional on initial centroid which has been proposed by Fang. The experiment compared the accuracy of our proposed method with the original KMNB, Original KMean, and K-Means using initial centroid by Fang. Based on the result of the experiment, the accuracy of our proposed method was 95%. The error reduction of our proposed method was about 50% compared to the original KMNB. It can be stated that our proposed method is promising and able to enhance the prediction on Breast Cancer Wisconsin data. On the other hand, the enhancement of prediction result will increase the preventive behavior on society and give a positive impact on the number downfall of breast cancer sufferers

A Review on Key Pre-distribution Schemes based on Combinatorial Designs for Internet of Things Security

    Get PDF
This paper is a review of problems and challenges in the Internet of things (IoT) security. The management of key pre-distribution is a cryptographic challenge in every kind of application where security is worried. In recent years there are many papers have proposed different schemes for security. We classify in this paper the existing solutions of key pre-distribution schemes, in order to categorize them, we draw a taxonomy and describe the key pre-distribution coming from combinatorial design and we give examples for that

Actions to be taken in Mexico towards education 4.0 and society 5.0

    Get PDF
Education in Mexico has not evolved in the way it is taught and evaluated. In the historical moment that postmodernism enters, it has not been possible to adapt to Information and Communication Technologies(ICT), or rapid technological innovation, or changes and trends in the industry, to the sharing economy or the rise of distance races. In its analysis, an essential deficiency is detected in the current education models, and it is detected that educational freedom is nil or scarce, which has led to poor student performance, high youth unemployment, which cause severe social problems and the economy of the economy. The current government is working closely with the private sector to connect education and promote employment. It is necessary to grant public schools more autonomy, freedom and responsibility. This paper explains how to act so that Mexico can adapt education 4.0 with solid steps to reach society 5.0

LITERATUR STUDY OF STUDENTS MATHEMATICAL PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITIES ON HIGHER ORDER THINKING SKILL QUESTIONS FROM VARIOUS LEARNING MODELS

    Get PDF
This study aims to determine the results of a literature study on students' mathematical problem solving abilities on higher order thinking skill (HOTS) questions from various learning models. Students' problem solving abilities in identifying elements that are known or needed in solving mathematical problems, formulating mathematical problems, selecting problem solving, and re-examining problem solving to then make solutions in other ways or develop student problem solving when students are faced with math problem. High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is a thinking process of students at a higher cognitive level that is developed from various cognitive concepts and methods and learning taxonomies such as problem solving methods, bloom taxonomies, and learning, teaching, and assessment taxonomies. Based on the results of the analysis of the results of the study, it was concluded that students' mathematical problem solving abilities could be improved by applying problem based learning and discovery learning models. And the learning model that is better used is the Problem Based Learning
