Electronic transactions in government operational activities are carried out strictly and comply with regulations on both sides, namely financial transaction regulations regulated by government authorities and state financial management regulations. Strict management of electronic transactions, especially government credit cards, is carried out to prevent fraud, create reliable financial reports and protect against the risk of loss to the apparatus and the state. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the interest in using KKP by government officials. The method used in this research is quantitative method using online questionnaires to credit card users who work in government units/organizations in the territory of Indonesia. Researchers used the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach with Smart PLS to test the above assumptions based on SEM. The results of this study indicate that the p value <0.05 with a positive beta value which indicates that the good reliability of government credit cards will affect the effectiveness of user satisfaction. So that the reliability and certainty of government credit cards affect user satisfaction. In addition, it is known that the satisfaction of government credit card users is able to strengthen the relationship between perceived convenience and perceived usefulness

Organisational Agility and IT Alignment in Public Organisations

Prior studies confirming the favourable outcome of IT alignment in enabling organisations to achieve organisational agility which, in turn, is reflected in improved organisational performance, has been debated among IS researchers. The phenomenon ‘alignment-agility paradox’, referring to the unintended outcome of IT alignment resulting in organisational rigidity, has surfaced in the literature following the contradictory findings of empirical studies. However, researchers argue that the relationship between IT alignment and organisational agility is the function of contextual organisational factors—both internal organisational factors as well as external environment. Since most IT alignment studies are conducted in developed countries focusing on commercial and private organisations, this study is poised to investigate the relationship between the two constructs within the context of public organisations in two developing countries

The basic purpose of this study is to explore the relationship of role overload (RO) and resources (R) with employee engagement (EE) among the operational employees of Rescue (1122), District Mardan. The role overload and resources have not been studied with the relationship of employee engagement in emergency services (Rescue-1122) in Pakistan. Data was collected from 154 employees using adopted questionnaire. The respondents are Fire Rescuers (FR), Lead fire rescuers (LFR), DERT (Disaster emergency response team) Rescuer, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Divers only of district Mardan. The WarpPLS was used for data analysis and concluded the negative impact of role overload on employee engagement, while positive impact of resources on employee engagement in Rescue-1122, Mardan. Thus, the present study provides help to top brass of the organization during formulation of strategy in order to overcome the problem of role overload which eventually affects employee engagement

Transforming Marginalized Communities through Virtual Healthcare during a Pandemic

    Get PDF
The COVID-19 pandemic has encouraged governments and public health administrators to rapidly adopt digital solutions and advanced public health information systems. Sub-Saharan African countries have also made transitions to the digital platforms in response to the unprecedented challenges related to the delivery of health services. However, acceptance and use of such digital solutions was found to differ between countries. Based on these gaps, we build a conceptual representation that is based on the Technology Maturity Index. This conceptual mapping highlights the technological optimism, associated with innovation, while showing the perceived usefulness and usage of Telehealth. In this research, we elaborate a set of proposals to increase the body of knowledge regarding the implementation of technologies for health and to provide decision makers with key evidence for the implementation of policies for the development of community digital solutions

The objective of the study is to identify the elements which have an impact on sharing of knowledge at Cihan University in Erbil. Although previous studies have identified a range of elements affecting knowledge sharing, further research is needed to understand the factors driving knowledge sharing, particularly among higher educational institutions in Iraq. Since there are few studies about the sharing of knowledge among Iraqi higher education institutions' staff and there is no current model that has all of the elements required to examine the sharing of knowledge, the researchers investigated the effects of organizational, individual, and technological variables on academics' knowledge sharing behavior. Cihan University staff in Iraq's Kurdistan Region completed a total of 78 validated questionnaires. The data were evaluated with the use of a structural equation model (PLS-SEM). According to the findings of the study, organizational and technological factors are important indicators of knowledge sharing in educational institutions

The Role of Status Consumption and Materialism in Influencing Attitude towards Counterfeit Fashion Product

    Get PDF
The act of counterfeiting spans across various industries and the impact can be seen beyond economic factors. In consumer behavior, the impact of status consumption and materialism has influenced purchase decisions in which consumption is not only based on how it makes an individual feel but also on those around them. Ultimately, the extent to which consumers may go in terms of getting status recognition influenced them to look for “cheaper” alternatives to genuine manufactured products. Hence the demand for counterfeit fashion products kept rising over the years. This research shows the impact of materialism and status consumption in influencing consumer attitudes toward counterfeit fashion products. Data were analyzed using a partial least square (PLS) approach to structural equation modeling (SEM). Materialism is significant in influencing attitude whereas there was no significant relationship found between status consumption and attitude

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of financial loss, identity theft, and privacy protection policies on the willingness of tourists in Saudi Arabia to engage in e-commerce.   Theoretical framework: This study examines Saudi Arabian visitors' use of e-commerce, highlighting the consequences of financial loss, identity theft, and privacy laws. The study employs Smart PLS and structured questionnaires, underpinned by a theoretical framework of trust and security, to uncover heightened fears over online identity theft. Policies protecting privacy become essential, boosting customer confidence and promoting e-commerce. The study adds to the scant amount of information in this field by emphasising the role that regulations play in maintaining transaction security and promoting user confidence.   Design/Methodology/Approach: This study used a quantitative research methodology to examine the relationship between financial loss, identity theft, privacy protection policies, and the willingness to engage in e-commerce in Saudi Arabia. Structured questionnaires were used to gather data, and Smart PLS was used to analyse the results using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM).   Findings: The study reveals that Saudi Arabian tourists express more concern about online identity theft than financial loss. Privacy protection policies play a pivotal role in enhancing their trust and participation in e-commerce, underscoring the importance of regulatory measures for ensuring user confidence and online transaction security.   Research, Practical & Social implications: This study highlights the unique worries that Saudi Arabian internet customers have, prioritising identity theft over money loss. Policies protecting privacy become an important middleman that is essential to fostering trust and promoting e-commerce. The findings encourage more investigation into the fundamental elements influencing user choices in study. Practically speaking, companies may improve tactics by giving strong privacy safeguards top priority. In order to promote a safe and reliable e-commerce environment that benefits customers and the expansion of Saudi Arabia's online market, it is socially vital to advocate for explicit privacy legislation.   Originality/value: This study is a pioneering attempt to investigate Saudi Arabian tourists' e-commerce behaviour. It adds to the scarce body of knowledge in this area by illuminating the importance of privacy protection policies in fostering consumer trust

Recent phenomenon has showed us a much-helpful simple way in providing customers’ needs and consumption during Covid-19 pandemic. The limited space caused by the condition has made consumers shift towards instant online shopping. The customers’ changing behaviour forces business sector to adjust and fulfil customer’s need and desires. This research is implemented by using judgemental sampling method, which includes millennial generation as users on instant shopping. The amount of population is unknown, while the sample calculation is 1:10 of each questionnaire statement. Partial least square is also used in this research as analysis method, by also using SmartPLS 3.0. The result gave an analysis and found a slight change of customer’s behaviour, especially in using Instagram account as an instant shopping alternative which supports recent situation. This could also be next suggestion for further development after Covid-19 pandemic
