Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a network area that includes a large number of nodes and the ability of wireless transmission. WSNs are frequently employed for vital applications in which security and dependability are of utmost concern. The main objective of the proposed method is to design a WSN to maximize network longevity while minimizing power usage. In a WSN, trust management is employed to encourage node collaboration, which is crucial for achieving dependable transmission. In this research, a novel Trust and Energy Aware Routing Protocol (TEARP) in wireless sensors networks is proposed, which use blockchain technology to maintain the identity of the Sensor Nodes (SNs) and Aggregator Nodes (ANs). The proposed TEARP technique provides a thorough trust value for nodes based on their direct trust values and the filtering mechanisms generate the indirect trust values. Further, an enhanced threshold technique is employed to identify the most appropriate clustering heads based on dynamic changes in the extensive trust values and residual energy of the networks. Lastly, cluster heads should be routed in a secure manner using a Sand Cat Swarm Optimization Algorithm (SCSOA). The proposed method has been evaluated using specific parameters such as Network Lifetime, Residual Energy, Throughpu,t Packet Delivery Ratio, and Detection Accuracy respectively. The proposed TEARP method improves the network lifetime by 39.64%, 33.05%, and 27.16%, compared with Energy-efficient and Secure Routing (ESR), Multi-Objective nature-inspired algorithm based on Shuffled frog-leaping algorithm and Firefly Algorithm (MOSFA) , and Optimal Support Vector Machine (OSVM)

A Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) comprises of the vast range of devices such as sensors, smart phones, laptops and other mobile devices that connect with each other across wireless networks and collaborate in a dispersed fashion to offer network functions in the absence of a permanent infrastructure. The Cluster Head (CH) selection in a clustered MANET is still crucial for lowering each node's energy consumption and increasing the network's lifetime. However, in existing clustering mechanism trust of the all nodes are presumed those causes increased challenge in the MANET environment. Security is a crucial factor when constructing ad-hoc networks. In a MANET, energy consumption in route optimization is dependent on network resilience and connectivity. The primary objective of this study is to design a reliable clustering mechanism for MANETs that takes energy efficiency into account. For trusted energy-efficient CH in the nodes, a safe clustering strategy integrating energy-efficient and fuzzy logic based energy clustering is proposed to address security problems brought about by malicious nodes and to pick a trustworthy node as CH. To improve the problem findings Bat algorithm (BAT) is integrated with Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). The PSO technique is inspired because it imitates the sociological characteristics of the flock of the birds through random population. The BAT is a metaheuristic algorithm inspired by microbat echolocation behavior that uses pulse average with global optimization of the average path in the network. Hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization (HPSO) and BAT techniques are applied to identify the best route between the source and destination. According to the simulation results, the suggested Fuzzy logic Particle Swarm Optimization BAT (FLPSO-BAT) technique has a minimum latency of 0.0019 milliseconds, with energy consumption value of 0.09 millijoules, maximal throughput of 0.76 bits per sec and detection rate of 90.5% without packet dropping attack

Wireless Sensor Network (WSNs) can perform transmission within themselves and examination is performed based on their range of frequency. It is quite difficult to recharge devises under adverse conditions. The main limitations are area of coverage, network’s lifetime and aggregating and scheduling. If the lifetime of a network should be prolonged, then it can become a success along with reliability of the data transferred, conservation of sensor and scalability. Through many research works, this challenge can be overcome which are being proposed and the network’s lifespan improved which can preserve the sensor’s energy. By schemes of clustering, a low overhead is provided and the resources are efficiently allocated thus increasing the ultimate consumption of energy and reducing interfaces within the sensor nodes. Challenges such as node deployment and energy-aware clustering can be considered as issues of optimization with regards to WSNs, along with data collection. An optimal solution can be gotten through evolutionary and SI algorithm, pertaining to Non-deterministic Polynomial (NP)-complete along with a number of techniques. In this work, Krill Herd Algorithm based clustering is proposed

Improving wireless communication and artificial intelligence technologies by using Internet of Things (Itoh) paradigm has been contributed in developing a wide range of different applications. However, the exponential growth of smart phones and Internet of Things (IoT) devices in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is becoming an emerging challenge that adds some limitations on Quality of Service (QoS) requirements. End-to-end latency, energy consumption, and packet loss during transmission are the main QoS requirements that could be affected by increasing the number of IoT applications connected through WSNs. To address these limitations, an effective routing protocol needs to be designed for boosting the performance of WSNs and QoS metrics. In this paper, an optimization approach using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm is proposed to develop a multipath protocol, called a Particle Swarm Optimization Routing Protocol (MPSORP). The MPSORP is used for WSN-based IoT applications with a large volume of traffic loads and unfairness in network flow. For evaluating the developed protocol, an experiment is conducted using NS-2 simulator with different configurations and parameters. Furthermore, the performance of MPSORP is compared with AODV and DSDV routing protocols. The experimental results of this comparison demonstrated that the proposed approach achieves several advantages such as saving energy, low end-to-end delay, high packet delivery ratio, high throughput, and low normalization load.publishedVersio

Energy efficiency is the most significant obstacle that Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) must overcome, and the desire for solutions that maximize energy efficiency will never go away. There are a variety of methods that can be utilized to improve energy efficiency, with data transmission as the primary driver of maximum energy consumption. The transmission of data from the source to destination nodes uses more energy. When the transmission of data is handled better, the energy efficiency is improved and the lifetime of the network is increased. The purpose of this research is to propose an Trust Score based Optimized Cluster Routing (TSOCR)  scheme for WSNs, which is based on Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA). A total trust score is derived by combining the results of computing three distinct trust scores, such as the direct, indirect, and the most recent trust score. The path that has the highest trust score is chosen as the route and employed for data transmission. The effectiveness of the work is evaluated by looking at factors such as the rate of packet delivery, the latency, the amount of energy consumed and the lifetime of the network

But, the sensors of the WSNs vulnerable to malicious attackers due to the energy constraint, open deployment and lack of centralized administration. Therefore, the secure routing is established for achieving the secure and reliable data broadcasting in the WSN. In this paper, an Adaptive Decision and Levy Flight based Artificial Hummingbird Algorithm (ADLFAHA) is proposed for performing an effective secure routing under the blackhole and Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. The ADLFAHA is developed to perform Secure Cluster Head (SCH) selection and secure path identification according to the trust, energy, load and communication cost. An adaptive decision strategy and levy flight incorporated in the ADLFAHA is used to enhance exploration and achieves global optimization capacity that helps to enhance the searching process. Moreover, the developed ADLFAHA helps to avoid the congestion among the nodes by balancing the load in network. The ADLFAHA is analyzed using End to End Delay (EED), throughput, Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) and overhead. The existing researches such as Firebug Optimized Modified Bee Colony (FOMBC) and Lightweight Secure Routing (LSR) are used to compare the ADLFAHA. The PDR of the ADLFAHA for the simulation time of 100 s is 98.21 that is high than the FOMBC and LSR
