Introduction: The present research was conducted at the University of Delhi in 2017. Method: Websites were ranked on the basis of feedback from unbiased experts. Later, we proposed an integrated approach by combining ordered weighted averaging (owa) operator with fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (fahp) for budget allocation. Results: A numerical example related to a company, which deals with consumer goods and wants to advertise on few e-commerce websites is discussed at the end of the paper. Budget distribution is decided by solving multi-objective maximum-dispersion-minimum-variance (mdmv) owa and fahp method. Conclusions: The proposed methodology aids managerial decisions made by handling multiple attributes simultaneously through industry experts’ opinion, and using a simple proportional rule for allocating budget. Originality:  The conventional methods based on reach maximization, exposure or profit cannot meet the budget allocation needs of the modern advertising planning. Firstly, they do not take into consideration multiple attributes of media. Secondly, they do not incorporate the expert opinion and their preferences. To address these problems, we propose a multi-attribute method based on the advertising budget allocation method to divide the budget into individual websites. The attributes under consideration are: system quality, content quality, usage, trust, customer support, online customer feedback, and personalization. Limitations: In this study, we used a mdmv-owa operator in fuzzy environment but in future occasions, it may be extended to intuitionistic fuzzy domain. Social Media (SM) has turned out to be a platform for marketing as well as advertising activities. In relation to SM Advertising (SMA), the cultural influence on consumers’ behavior as well as attitude is more vital. Organizations have used up loads of money, time, and also resources on SMA. Nevertheless, it is always a challenge for the organizations to model SM advertisement in a means to effectively attract and also motivate customers into purchasing their brands. This paper proposed a novel framework to scrutinize the SMA features’ impact on Customer Purchase Intention (CPI) by means of the BWO-DANN. Initially, the questionnaires are given to the various customer and their answers are collected. Then, answers will be uploaded and are converted into numerical format into the system. Next, the CSGA-KM is utilizedfor clustering the questionnaires on the base of personal information. Then the BWO-DANN is utilized to train the converted questionnaire set. After that, the system is tested by utilizing KFCV. Finally, through the mean model, CPI is founded out. The extensive experimentation’s outcomes illustrated that the system trounced the other methodologies, and also it is best to examine the CPI

Social media are widely and mostly utilized in many areas to increase advertising, client relations, tourism, journey and many others by means of members or organizations. Social Media Platforms (SMPs) are becoming increasingly popular in the world. The selection of SMPs, which might be widely and mostly utilized by members or organizations, becomes a critical and complex problem. Moreover, some problems that need to be investigated which consist of the reason for the use of different SMPs, purpose, and frequency of use. In this study, we have investigated to explain these problems via questionnaire which evaluates by undergraduate pupils (N = 173). Therefore, we have created twelve different scenarios that are different weights and thresholds and handled the selection and ranking of SMPs by fuzzy Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE) I and II. Consequently, we able to conclude that "Which SMPs were more preferred?", "What are the reasons for selection of SMPs? and "Which criteria are more important for this selection?". In addition, this study can be guiding an infrastructure for the content of new SPMs in the future

A hybrid neutrosophic-grey analytic hierarchy process method : decision-making modelling in uncertain environments

    Get PDF
The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is recognised as one of the most commonly applied methods in the multiple attribute decision-making (MADM) literature. In the AHP, encompassing uncertainty feature necessitates using suitable uncertainty theories, since dealing efficiently with uncertainty in subjective judgements is of great importance in real-world decision-making problems. The neutrosophic set (NS) theory and grey systems are two reliable uncertainty theories which can bring considerable benefits to uncertain decision-making. The aim of this study is to improve uncertain decision-making by incorporating advantages of the NS and grey systems theories with the AHP in investigating sustainability through agility readiness evaluation in large manufacturing plants. This study pioneers a combined neutrosophic-grey AHP (NG-AHP) method for uncertain decision-making modelling. The applicability of the hybrid NG-AHP method is shown in an illustrative real-case study for agility evaluations in the Iranian steel industry. The computational results indicate the effectiveness of the proposed method in adequately capturing uncertainty in the subjective judgements of decision makers. In addition, the results verify the significance of the research in group decision-making under uncertainty. The practical outcome reveals that, to become a more sustainable agile steel producer in the case country, they should first focus on the “organisation management agility” as the most significant criterion in the assessment followed by “manufacturing process agility,” “product design agility,” “integration of information system,” and “partnership formation capability,” respectively

[EN] This doctoral thesis proposes using multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) methods as a strategic tool to support maintenance management of complex systems. The development of this doctoral thesis is framed within a cotutelle (co-tutoring) agreement between the Università degli Studi di Palermo (UNIPA) and the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), within their respective programmes of doctorates in 'Technological Innovation Engineering' and 'Mathematics'. Regarding this thesis, these programmes are closely linked through the topic of MCDM, providing crucial tools to manage maintenance of real complex systems by applying in-depth mathematical analyses. The purpose of this connection is to robustly take into account uncertainty in attributing subjective evaluations, collecting and synthetizing judgments attributed by various decision makers, and dealing with large sets of elements characterising the faced issue. The main topic of the present doctoral work is the management of maintenance activities to increase the levels of technological innovation and performance of the analysed complex systems. All kinds of systems can be considered as objects of study, including production systems and service delivery systems, among others, by evaluating their real contexts. Thus, this doctoral thesis proposes facing maintenance management through the development of three tightly linked main research lines. ¿ The first is the core and illustrates most of the methodological aspects of the thesis. It refers to the use of MCDM methods for supporting strategic maintenance decisions, and dealing with uncertainty affecting data/evaluations even when several decision makers are involved (experts in maintenance). ¿ The second line develops reliability analyses for real complex systems (also in terms of human reliability analysis) on the basis of which any maintenance activity must be implemented. These analyses are approached by considering the reliability configuration of both the components belonging to the system under study and the specific features of the operational environment. ¿ The third research line focuses on important methodological aspects to support maintenance management, and emphasises the need to monitor the performance of maintenance activities and evaluate their effectiveness using suitable indicators. A wide range of real real-world case studies has been faced to evaluate the effectiveness of MCDM methods in maintenance and then prove the usefulness of the proposed approach.Carpitella, S. (2019). Green roofs have been installed as a sustainable approach for many years all around the world. There are myriad benefits for green roof installation in terms of private and public sectors such as energy saving, stormwater management, and carbon reduction. Furthermore, there are three types of green roofs with different levels of benefits and costs; however, there is lack of model, framework, or decision support system (DSS) to facilitate the process of decision making for selecting the optimum type of green roof. The aim of the research is to develop a DSS to determine the optimum type of green roof. The research was conducted on residential buildings due to the highest percentage of green roof installation among other building categories in Malaysia. Enhanced Fuzzy Delphi Method (EFDM) has been developed for this study as the approach for data collection, while Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) is adopted in order to develop the DSS. Moreover, Cybernetic Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (CFAHP) was also developed as the method used in MCDM. EFDM and CFAHP were developed due to the shortcomings of previous methods for the novelty in this research. A database was created for the DSS using EFDM, while CFAHP method was used for developing the DSS. Additionally, in terms of DSS evaluation, hypothetical examples were defined and after obtaining the results, multiple criteria approach was conducted to understand its level of effectiveness and efficiency. DSS evaluation has been conducted involving experts in the field of green roof. Finally, it was concluded that the DSS works well and can be utilized in construction industry in the design phase. The experts’ feedbacks showed that the developed DSS is effective and efficient, and were satisfied with the performance of the DSS
