Comparative characteristic of the tale of C. Collodi “The adventures of Pinocchio” and its translation by E. G. Kazakevich

В статье проводится сравнительный анализ оригинального текста сказки К. Коллоди «Приключения Пиноккио» в переводческой стратегии Э.Г. Казакевича. Перевод Э. Казакевича является самым авторитетным, поcкольку он максимально точно передает единство формы и содержания оригинала на русский язык, и «полным», так как наиболее близок к оригиналу из всех существовавших до него переводов на русский язык

Vardų perteikimas verčiant Carlo Collodi’io Le Avventure di Pinocchio

Translating character names in fiction can be difficult, as names can perform different functions: not only naming, but also highlighting characteristic features. Translators of fiction have to make certain decisions how to render names in the Target Text and retain the functions and meanings they serve in the Source Text. The aim of this article is to analyse the translation of character names in C. Collodi’s Le avventure di Pinocchio into Lithuanian, Polish and Russian and to compare the translation startegies chosen by the translators. The results of this analysis show that the most common rendering method in the Lithuanian, Polish and Russian versions was direct translation. Also, it can be concluded that character names were rendered most accurately in their translation into Lithuanian, the second in terms of accuracy of rendering character names is the translation into Russian, and the third – into Polish.Verčiant grožinę literatūrą, vertėjams neretai tenka pasvarstyti, kaip tekste vertimo kalba perteikti personažų vardus, nes vardai dažnai atlieka ne tik įvardijimo, bet ir charakterizuojamąją funkciją, jie gali atskleisti tam tikrą informaciją apie personažą, išryškinti jam būdingą bruožą ar savybę. Šiame straipsnyje analizuojama, kaip Carlo Collodi’io apysakoje-pasakoje Le avventure di Pinocchio esantys personažų vardai buvo perteikti vertimuose į lietuvių, lenkų ir rusų kalbas. Nustatyta, kad perteikiant vardus visuose trijuose vertimuose dažniausiai pasirinktas tiesioginis vertimas. Tiksliausiai vardai buvo perteikti vertime į lietuvių kalbą, antras pagal personažų vardų perteikimo tikslumą ‒ vertimas į rusų kalbą, o trečias – vertimas į lenkų kalbą

Социокультурные аспекты современного итальянского политического юмора и сатиры

The article concerns the peculiarities of the political humour and satire within the framework of the contemporary Italian political culture. Due to the political crisis of the late 20th century the image of the Italian politicians has undergone severe alterations, being associated with negative stereotypes. Referring to the political humour and satire, the Italians endeavour to control the political power, reveal the government`s inefficiency and its discrepancy with the nation`s values and ideals. Appealing to the example of the political cartoons dedicated to the former Prime Minister of Italy M. Renzi, the author defines the influence of the sociocultural factors and regional features on the contemporary political humour and political culture of Italy.В статье рассматриваются особенности политического юмора и сатиры в итальянской политической культуре Второй республики. В результате политического кризиса конца XX в. в Италии сложилось наполненное отрицательными стереотипами отношение к власти. Посредством смеха итальянцы пытаются корректировать деятельность государственного аппарата, высмеивая его несовершенства, несоответствие национальным ценностям и идеалам. На примере политических карикатур, посвященных бывшему премьер-министру Италии М. Ренци, определяется, как социокультурные особенности и региональная специфика влияют на политический юмор и политическую культуру страны
