Four species of Cory thalia C.L.Koch 1851 were reported by Richman & Cutler (1978) to occur in North America north of Mexico. Subsequently, one of these four species, C. delicatula Gertsch & Mulaik 1936, was synonymized with Euophrys dim in uta (Banks 1896) (Edwards 1980). Of the three remaining species, only two species can validly be placed in the genus. These are C. conspecta (Peckham & Peckham 1896) and C. opima (Peckham & Peckham 1885), the northernmost species in the genus, both with reported distributions ranging from Central America to Arizona

The late publication of "L'indifferent" (Gallimard, 1978) completes the proustian horizont with the emergence of an unfinished novel (drafted in 1893 and published in March 1896 in "Vie contemporaine"). This novel emerges after a long forgotten time by the hand of Ph. Kolb that, in his preface, tells us the story of this edition. The faithful reader or curious of Proust's work, seeks to fulfill its knowledge that is incomplete. But, insurance, the reader discovers, from the first lines, some tracks that allow him to establish links with "In search of lost time". In fact, precisely "L'indifferent", contains the germ of some of the elements that give shape to "Swann in love"

Non-Euclidean geometry and political economy How Jacques Rueff explained unemployment in England (1919-1931)

    Get PDF
This paper provides new perspectives on the French liberal economist Jacques Rueff (1896-1978), especially as regards his early writings on unemployment. We aim to show that Rueff distinguishes the root causes of permanent unemployment in England (1919-1931) based upon an interesting reading of non-Euclidean geometry. Controversially, this enables him to locate the cause of unemployment in the stickiness of the wage/price ratio. Hence, arguing that reality remains inaccessible in itself, Rueff focuses on a succession of variables (price, wage, unemployment), supplemented by his concepts of rational ego and the reasoning machine, in order to approach this reality

(1981, 1986, 1987, 1993), Cratty, B. (1983, 1986, 1990, 1994), Connolly, K. (1988, 1993, 1994) y Zaichkowsky, D. (1976, 1978, 1990).The aim of this paper is to realise a theoretical revision concerning works trying to connect the two different factors of motricity and cognition as was treatesed in other investigations as Ruiz Pérez (1992), finding five different hypothesis in order to board this theme. Habitually according to J. Piaget's (1896-1980) tradition we can say, the most frequent view-point is to put in connection "intelligence" and "sensomotor development" and under conceptions of "knowledge" to agree the relations between subject and objects, being sensomotricity one of the first mechanism concerning the origin of cognitive factors. As complementary J. Piaget's theories, we explain a different conceptual frame-work, based in multi-factor theory of individuality, directly connected to cognitive theories of intelligence of Royce (1993), other classic in these connections between motricity and cognition. We outline the view-points of the last investigations, connecting directly "intelligence" and "motor development", such as these of Ismail, A.H. (1981, 1896, 1987, 1993); Carthy, B. (1983, 1986, 1990, 1994); Connolly, K. (1988, 1993, 1994) and Zaichkowsky, L.D. (1976, 1978, 1990)
