Safety and security education are important part of technology related education, because of recent number of increase in safety and security related incidents. Game based learning is an emerging and rapidly advancing forms of computer-assisted instruction. Game based learning for safety and security education enables students to learn concepts and skills without the risk of physical injury and security breach. In this paper, a pedestal grinder safety game and physical security game have been developed using industrial standard modeling and game development software. The average score of the knowledge test of grinder safety game was 82%, which is higher than traditional lecture only instruction method. In addition, the survey of physical security game shows 84% average satisfaction ratio from high school students who played the game during the summer camp. The results of these studies indicated that game based learning method can enhance students' learning without potential harm to the students

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is growing in many aspects of life. It changes many fundamental of life especially in communication. Better communication is important to have correct information. In this new generation, ICT technologies of internet and multimedia have revolutionized the field of education. The lack of creativity in teaching caused the learning process boring and not interesting especially in history subject where students need to memorize too much information from the subject. With ICT technology of interactive multimedia such as videos, songs or games, it will help students for immerse learning and make the learning process more fun. The objectives of this project are to identify the suitable game-based methods to be adopted in history teaching learning where the working prototype of the game-based learning application will developed and tested. The project focuses on the secondary school students in form one in history. The game will be based on three modules in History of Malaysian Syllabus for Secondary School (KBSM). The tools used in developing the game are Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Flash. The functions involve in this tools is to make the game interactive with clicking button and creating animations. The programming language involve is Action Script. The incremental model are chose in this project where it have five phase which are analysis, design, development, quality assurance and evaluation. From the results interview the history educators, history is hard subject for students because majority of students does not like to read of thousand words of information and the game based learning is expected to be the additional tools in history teaching to make the learning more fun and interesting

Game Based Learning seems to be an interesting new possibility of teaching and learning, but the effort spent on designing games and the possible positive outcomes have to be weighed carefully. The following paper describes the development process and the conceptual design of a simulation game on sustainability for teenagers. The design process is participatory in nature. Members of the future group of learners are involved in the design process at every stage. This involvement is especially important to overcome the contradiction between the goal of the game as such and the pedagogical goal of the designers

Every school has at least one student who has a learning disability or struggles with academics. Every school also has teachers with the ability to reach out to struggling students, using traditional and nontraditional approach to learning. Game-based learning is a nontraditional approach which introduces students to game-based learning instead of more traditional paper and pencil activities. Multiple researchers have found game-based learning raised test scores, allowed for hands on social skill lessons, and has helped generate a positive environment for students. A few researchers shared the negative impacts of game-based learning, including the lack of transferability of skills for students and the difficulties educators face creating games. The literature review studied the types of game-based learning, positives and negatives of game-based learning in the special education classroom, , and approaches needed to continue research and implementation of game-based learning in schools
