Badania szkolnictwa wyższego w europie

The aim of this article is to propose a panoramie view of the achievements of European research on higher education. The author analyzes the stages of their development, identifies the most important works and researchers in the field, as well as discusses the institutions in which they conduct their research. The article presents the main thematic areas of higher education research as well as the characteristics of the various types of researchers undertaking this kind of research. The article includes an analysis of the factors contributing to the non-visibility of non-anglophone higher education research, as well as initiatives undertaken by European researchers to reduce the negative effects of this non-visibility through communication and international co-operation.Celem niniejszego artykułu jest panoramiczne przedstawienie dorobku europejskich badań nad szkolnictwem wyższym. Autor szczegółowe analizuje kolejne etapu ich rozwoju, wskazuje najważniejsze prace i badaczy w polu, jak również instytucje, w których prowadzą swoje badania. Drobiazgowo przedstawia również główne obszary tematyczne badań szkolnictwa wyższego, jak również charakteruzje różne typy badaczy podejmujących się tego przedsięwzięcia. Artykuł zawiera także analizę uwarunkowań przyczyniających się do niewidoczności badań szkolnictwa wyższego prowadzonych poza obiegiem, jak również inicjatyw podejmowanych przez europejskich badaczy w celu ograniczenia negatywnych efektów tej niewidoczności poprzez komunikację i współpracę międzynarodową

Nowa Administracja na rubieży cesarstwa – reformy wojskowe w chińskiej prowincji Yunnan w latach 1901–1911

The article aims to outline the question of military reforms in the Chinese province of Yunnan in the last decade of the Qing Dynasty (1901–1911). It analyses the process of forming the 19th Division of the New Army and the actions of successive governors-general of Yunnan and Guizhou provinces in local defence.Celem artykułu jest nakreślenie zagadnienia reform wojskowych w chińskiej prowincji Yunnan w ostatniej dekadzie panowania dynastii Qing (1901–1911). Analizie poddano zarówno proces formowania 19 Dywizji Nowej Armii, jak i poczynania kolejnych gubernatorów generalnych Yunnanu oraz Guizhou w obszarze obronności prowincji

„Bo królom był równy…” Sprowadzenie szczątków Juliusza Słowackiego w 1927 roku jako dramat społeczny Victora Turnera

Niniejszy artykuł poświęcony jest jednemu z największych widowisk społeczno-politycznych II Rzeczypospolitej – sprowadzeniu prochów Juliusza Słowackiego do Polski oraz powtórnego pogrzebu poety w czerwcu 1927 r. Punktem wyjścia analizy owego wydarzenia stanowi klasyczna kategoria rytuału przejścia (le rite de passage) Arnolda van Gennepa, z której wyrasta teoria czteroaktowego dramatu społecznego Victora Turnera, w ramach której rozpatrywane jest owe widowisko. Oprócz tła historycznego (kolejnych prób sprowadzenia prochów J. Słowackiego do Polski na przestrzeni dekad przełomu XIX i XX w.), w artykule wskazane zostały zasadnicze cele jakie przyświecały decydentom politycznym połowy lat 20. XX w., podjęcia się owego przedsięwzięcia, jego rolę dla rodzącego się, po maju 1926 r., nowego systemu politycznego, w Polsce oraz jego szczególne znaczenie dla obozu sanacji oraz samego Józefa Piłsudskiego. Oprócz przebiegu ostatniej podróży autora Kordiana, w tekście poddane analizie zostały poszczególne elementy składowe widowiska, przede wszystkim zaś jego scenografia oraz jej znaczenie.This article is devoted to one of the largest socio-political spectacles of the Second Polish Republic – bringing the ashes of Juliusz Słowacki to Poland and the re-burial of the poet in June of 1927. The starting point for the analysis of this event is the classical category the rite of passage of Arnold van Gennep, from which the theory of four-act social drama by Victor Turner emerges, in which the spectacle is considered. In addition to the historical background (subsequent attempts to bring the ashes of J. Słowacki to Poland over the decades of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries), the article indicates the main goals that guided political decision-makers in the mid-1920s wanted to achieve by this event, its role for a new political system in Poland (after May 1926) and its special significance for the Sanation and for Józef Piłsudski himself. In addition to the course of the last journey of Kordian’s author, the text analyzed various elements of the spectacle, and above all, its scenography and its meaning

Moment osobisty : Stempowski, Czapski, Miłosz

The publication is a continuation of the humanistic studies on the environment of people co-creating Literary Institute in Maisons-Laffitte. Dorota Sieroń-Galusek examines what traces of formation experiences mentioned in the title of the work left in letters, diaries and memories. She proves how often the artists, a poet in the case of Miłosz or a painter in the case of Czapski, despite a totally different life devotion, refer to pedagogical situations, and describe themselves as students, as authors constantly working on self-training, as well as teachers sharing with their knowledge and life experience. Even if the writings of the authors in question show a model of a pedagogical situation that is too idealistic, the author of the work treats it as a perfect starting point for a discussion on the cultural formation of man these days, as well as the possibility to reach what constitutes the essence of the master-learner relationship. An introduction to considerations are biographic sketches, being an attempt at pointing to the moments that made experiencing the culture for Stempowski, Czapski and Miłosz a life-time project, and process of constant training. The next chapter, Circles, bonds, institutions, reconstructs the places that were important in their cultural education, both formal, institutional and informal initiatives. How Stempowski, Czapski and Miłosz understood culture is described in the chapter entitled Culture individualized statement. All three of them taught while their learners in the evidence left treat them as masters. The master-learner relationship is elaborated on in the chapter entitled Give a sense of direction. The scope of actions taken by the authors was very broad, which was presented in the chapter called In action. It constitutes, at the same time, an attempt at confronting their ways of acting in the culture with the standards biding in animation, culture popularization or cultural education these days. The authors in question belong today to the canon of the Polish culture that is why according to the author the record of their formation experiences should be treated as important heritage perhaps deliberately left out as their contribution to the reflection on cultural education and pedagogy these days
