The authors analyse the key differences between the two popular social networks, including what users perceived to be the most attractive options, the amount of time spent online and attitudes toward advertising.     Cybernetic welness of the youth: Psychological aspect

    The ever more growing relevance of the issue under evaluation is explained by the wide expansion of digital technology that leads to the necessity to ensure cybernetic wellness of the population, especially the young. The goal of this article is to detect the psychological peculiarities of the Internet dependence of the youth. The leading approach to this issue is the empirical one (psychological evaluation); it allows detection of differences in socialization levels depending on severity of the Internet dependence among the students and the connection between the level of the Internet dependence and socialization for the young. The article analyzes the severity of the modern youth’s Internet dependence, describes the main criteria of the Internet addictions, forms of appearance and motives for development of addictive behavior among the young, stages of Internet addictions. This article may be used by the psychologists that perform psychological follow-up within the framework of psychocorrective, training and consulting jobs with students and the youth suffering of or damaged by Internet dependence, or fighting the consequences of Internet-addiction-based behavior.     The effect of increasing rates of mineral fertilizers on the yield and quality parameters of potato tubers

    The yield and quality parameters of potato tubers of Gala variety were determined in the conditions of the Middle Urals in 2020 and 2022 in long-term stationary experiment after prolonged application of NPK increasing rates (30-60-90-120-150 kg a.i.). The application of NPK by 60 kg a.i./ha and more promoted the potato yield raise by 1.1-1.3 times in 2020 and by 1.3-1.5 times in 2022 compared with the control variant without fertilizers (21.4 and 14.4 t/ha by years, respectively). The lowest dry matter content over the years of research was noted at the maximum dose of N150P150K150 mineral fertilizer in the experiment– 15.6 % in favorable weather conditions of 2020 and 19.4 % in the dry 2022. The starch content in potato tubers did not depend on the dose of applied mineral fertilizers and varied in 2020 in the range from 11.1 to 13.8 %, in 2022 – from 14.4 to 16.3 %. In potato tubers the content of crude protein in the wet mass increased from 1.32 to 1.90 % in 2020 and from 1.80 to 2.65 % in 2022 to the weight of wet mass with an increase in the dose of NPK from 30 to 150 kg/ ha active substance. The sugar content in 2020 was 0.58-0.83 % for natural humidity, in 2022 – 0.23-0.47 %. The fiber content in potato tubers did not depend on the doses of applied mineral fertilizers. The application of increasing doses of NPK did not lead to exceeding the permissible value of the nitrate content in fresh potato. According to a comprehensive assessment of the quality of tubers, potato yield, obtained under given conditions, was suitable for the production of low carbohydrate potato products and for fodder purposes

    Steady operation of the electric drive of pipeline armature in the emergency situation at low ambient temperatures

    This scientific work is devoted to the study of the electric drive operation of pipeline armature at low ambient temperatures. Hit of moisture into reducer and rare inclusions in operation of locking regulator are led to curdling lubricant that causes the increased wear of mechanical knots. There is a probability of freezing mechanical components; it leads to emergency situations. The problem of improving working efficiency of the electric drive of shut-off regulating armature at low ambient temperatures of the environment is solved in this work. A simulation model of the GUSAR electric drive was developed to solve this problem. Studies of the simulation model show the need to limit the torque increase rate on a drive motor shaft. The algorithm of setting of PI speed controller to obtain acceptable transient processes is suggested. Recommendations for the use of the algorithm in the microprocessor control system of electric drive are proposed. It is shown that the electric drive operation algorithm with torque increasing limitation on the motor shaft will be smoothly working off the perturbing actions that occur in pipeline armature

    Work Engagement and Burnout Prevention through the Intervention of Learning Java Programming Skills to Blue-Color Professionals

    The research features Java programming skills interventions introduced to an experimental group of shop assistants in Russia (years 2020-2021) as a part of the work engagement enhancement framework. The interventions’ cycle included 4 weeks, featuring videos describing Java basics. The results are promising since the participants reported brief manageable stresses, the development of positive social bonds, the enhancement of perceived social support, and the engagement in help-seeking behaviors. The rate of work engagement was measured according to Utrecht Work Engagement Scale. The results were validated with the statistical method of Rosenbaum Q criteria. The proposed interventions outline focuses on seven areas: 1) the attitude of society to learning interventions featuring an unknown subject field; 2) the formation of the learning environment; 3) psychological diversity of participants; 4) work engagement; 5) planning and evaluation of results; 6) social relationships; 7) personal growth and professional development. It is a common belief that a smaller workload, shorter working hours, or bigger financial rewards can solve burnout problems and increase work engagement. We propose a different approach which is a careful intervention of new studying programs as a work engagement enhancement strategy, as well as an anti-burnout method. © 2021

    Characteristics of humic acids in sod-podzolic soil under long-term exposure to different fertilization systems

    The elemental composition and structure of humic acids in the soddy-podzolic heavy loamy soil of the Cis-Urals were studied during long-term application of organic, mineral and organo-mineral fertilizers under conditions of a long-term stationary experiment. Mineral fertilizers contributed to the formation of humic acids with increased content of aliphatic components, the ratio H : C = 1.45 and a high degree of oxidation (ω = 0.41). The low content of nitrogen in humic acids (from 2.0 to 2.6 at.%), with various fertilizer systems, is primarily due to its low content in the plant biomass of crops cultivated in crop rotation.The organic fertilizer system resulted in the enrichment of the structural aggregates of humic acids with aromatic groups and nitrogen. The high intensity of absorption of the >C=O group of carboxylic acids in the region of 1 717 cm-1 and double bonds of carbon atoms at 1 627 cm-1 confirms this position. Humic acids of the “manure 10 t/ha” and “manure 5 t/ha + equiv. NPK” have the largest number of carboxyl groups in their composition. The vibrations of the >C=O group of carboxylic acids are most weakly expressed in soil humic acids with a mineral fertilizer system. Organo-mineral fertilizer system demonstrates intermediate results in terms of the content of the main constitutional elements in humic acids. Mineral fertilizers application reduces the amount and thermal stability of the structural components of humic acids, thereby contributing to the degradation of the most stable part of macromolecule, which can lead to the loss of potential soil fertility. Тhe use of mineral fertilizers on sod-podzolic heavy loamy soil led to the enrichment of humic acids with aliphatic fragments, and of organic ones – increased the content of stable components of aromatic nature, but lowered their thermal stability. According to thermographic analysis the ratio of weight loss in the low-temperature zone and the weight loss in the high-temperature zone (Z) during long-term use of mineral fertilizers is 0.9, i. e. the proportion of components of aliphatic nature in the structure of humic acids increases in comparison with unfertilized or manure fertilized soil
