Redox and photochemical processes in natural waters

    No full text
In the paper the natural waters, waste waters and algal were investigated with the aim of determination of the key processes in the redox and photochemical reactions with the participation of the ions of the transition metals, the water-dissolved oxygen, peroxide of hydrogen and free radicals in order to estimate the role of the above processes in the formation of the biological properties and possibilities of self-purification of waters. As a result the detailed mechanisms of catalytic processes of oxidation were discovered for the first time and the role of free radicals in the self-purification of waters was determined. The method of water purification by peroxide of hydrogene and ultraviolet radiation was developed and introduced into operationAvailable from VNTIC / VNTIC - Scientific & Technical Information Centre of RussiaSIGLERURussian Federatio
