    This paper would like to discuss the issue of "Humans as Subjects in Diversity Education" examined through literature review, using a qualitative descriptive approach. The presentation is on the phenomena in the form of words or sentences and not in numbers. The phenomena of exposure material are information - a written description that indicates the concept that in the educational process human status is the subject. Data is collected and analyzed entirely from literature and documentation material, writing in journals, and other relevant media that are still worthy of review. The results of the study show that: Diversity is a reality of nationality in Indonesia. Living harmoniously in diversity, various kinds must be manifested in the daily life of the community to be superior without losing the exclusiveness of diversity. Its Awareness and ability will be strongly embedded when each party positions itself as a subject. The best people from various types will create harmony of life. It needs to be instilled in every soul of the Indonesian people with the concept of diversity education. The recommended form of education in the concept of placing humans as subjects is dialogue

    Indonesia is a multi-dimensional nation. Cultural diversity, ethnicity, religion, language and race become the embodiment of the integration of this nation, so that aspects of plurality become a characteristic of the Indonesian nation. In the school there must always be interactions between students who have different background. Not a few problems that arise because students do not have good social competence in the process of interaction with other students. Therefore, teachers should be able to develop based learning multicultural values to be able to make the students respect the diversity and multicultural awareness. Values-based learning of multicultural can serve as an alternative to building the mindset of students to respect diversity in a frame of equality, thus being able to develop social skills possessed by students. It is also relevant to the condition of the multi-cultural and historical Indonesian nation which was built on the basis of the collective struggle of various ethnicities and ethnic groups in the country.     This study aims to assess policies and programs WASDALBIN, constraints in WASDALBIN implement the policy, the steps in implementing policies WASDALBIN PTAIS. The method used descriptive analytic. The unit of analysis of this study determined purposively, is in 3 areas Kopertais I Jakarta, Banten West Java II, and IV Surabaya, which is considered to represent the whole territory of Indonesia. Data were collected through interviews, documentation and observation studies. The result of the research shows that communication is less effective WASDALBIN policy. The policy implementers assume that WASDALBIN policy is less clear, consistent and appropriate. The quality and the proportion of inadequate resources. Performance of policy implementing is less than optimal. The structure of the bureaucracy in the implementation WASDALBIN still convoluted, making it less efficient. This weakness is almost evenly in all regions studied WASDALBI, with slight variations. Conclusion This study shows that the policy WASDALBIN on Kopertais not be implemented optimally

    Updating curriculum is a strategic and dynamic activity in order to increase the quality of education in all educational institutions, especially at university. The study is focused on updating curriculum at university as it is as a strategic educational institution and determines the preparation for qualified people in society. Besides, there is a right of owning the autonomy in educational organization. Many ways can be done by colleges when they want to update their curriculums, such as by using system approach. If this way is used, the colleges are able to conduct updating curriculum activity in planned and accountable way. It is in line with the spirit of the organization of higher education nowadays, to have clear and transparent planning, and become accountable. The activity of Updating curriculum is entirely done and divided according to the needs of the colleges. However, the activity of updating curriculum is obviously focused on considering of the substance competence formula and syllabus form, implementation, and evaluation system.     Pengaruh Kecerdasan Emosional terhadap Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa pada Materi Sudut dan Garis di Kelas VII MTs Normal Islam Samarinda

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi sudut dan garis di kelas VII Mts. Normal Islam Samarinda. Jenis penelitian ini adalah ex post facto dan, teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik proporsional random sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 132 siswa. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket kecerdasan emosional, dan tes hasil belajar matematika. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan regresi linier sederhana dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Berdasarkan perhitungan analisis deskriptif, nilai rata-rata dari data kecerdasan emosional siswa sebesar 178,41 hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosional siswa kelas VII MTs. Normal Islam Samarinda pada kategori tinggi. Untuk nilai rata-rata dari hasil belajar matematika siswa adalah 65,33 hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar kelas VII Mts. Normal Islam Samarinda pada kategori sedang. Dari hasil analisis inferensial menggunakan regresi linier sederhana, diperoleh persamaan penduga Ŷ = -32,736 + 0,550X. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh thit = 19,631; ttabel= 1,645 dan p = 0,000, diperoleh nilai thit lebih dari ttabel yaitu 19,631> 1,645 dan taraf signifikansi statistik kurang dari taraf signifikansi penguji α = 0,05 maka persamaan regresi penduga yang diperoleh adalah berarti pada taraf signifikan 5%, sehingga terdapat pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap hasil belajar matematika. R2 = 0,748 menunjukkan bahwa 74,8% hasil belajar matematika siswa dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel kecerdasan emosional. Dengan demikian, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa di kelas VII MTs. Normal Islam Samarinda

    The Implementation of National Standard-Based Curriculum in Private Islamic Higher Education: Leadership Impact

    The implementation of KKNI (Kerangka Kualifikasi Nasional Indonesia/national standard–based curriculum), especially in PTKIS (Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Swasta/Private Islamic Higher Education) demands the role of its study program leaders. The purpose of this study was to explore the implementation of KKNI curriculum on several perspectives: role, performance, teaching steps, understanding factors related to the distribution KKNI, and impact to education in Indonesia. This study used a descriptive qualitative method, including interview, observation, and documentation as technique for collecting data and triangulation technique for ensuring data validity. The results indicated that the performance of eight heads of PAI (Pendidikan Agama Islam/Islamic education) Study Program was not in optimum condition as a determinant of the direction, representative of spokesperson, communicator, mediator, and integrator. The implementation of the curriculum was also not effective yet. Then, the factors that influence the implementation are the lack of resources, time, campus ethics, knowledge support, professional interests and attitudes. To understand this condition, we also investigated the impact of knowledge, in which the result showed no information regarding what the policy/program offers, what the target group needs, and why the average student's score is still low. National accreditation, in the eight PAI Study Programs, did not reach the excellence category. Thus, the performance on the study program has not been accountable and will have implications for the weakness of social legitimacy
