    ADI RAHMAT B.P: “The Comparative Study Between the Students’ Ability in Writing Descriptive Text by Using Individual Learning And Collaborative Learning at the Tenth Grade Students of MAN 1 Cirebon” As we know that language is the part of our life. Language cannot be separated with our life, because language is the system of human communication which consists of the structured arrangement of sounds (or their written representation) into larger units, e.g. morphemes, words, sentences, utterances. Writing is a difficult skill for many learners, even in their mother tongue. There are several reasons for this. First, writing has to be learnt, unlike speech, which is acquired in the mother tongue as a part of child’s normal development. In addition, speaking is a familiar everyday activity, but for many people writing is something they do only rarely. To develop the students’ ability in writing, descriptive text was chosen as the text that students should make. To help students in writing descriptive text, the writer will apply two kinds of methods. Those are individual learning and collaborative learning. Those methods are effective for writing skill, because the students can feel relax to write descriptive text by using individual learning that makes the students to think freely as they need in writing and collaborative learning makes the students to work together in a small group to get more data and to write easier. The aims of the research are to get data about the students’ ability in writing descriptive text by using individual learning, to get data about the students’ ability in writing descriptive text by using collaborative learning, and to get data about what the comparison between the students’ ability in writing descriptive text by using individual learning and collaborative learning is. The method of the research is quantitative method. It means that the researcher does the research by using the formula of statistic, especially by using ttest formula. The techniques of collecting the data are by using observation, interview, and test. The population of the research is that the writer takes the tenth grade as the sample and the writer has taken 20 % (twenty percent) of the population in the other hand, the twenty percent of 471 comes to 90 students. The analysis of the test shows that the average mark of writing descriptive text by using individual learning (X1 variable) is 7 and the average mark of writing descriptive text by using collaborative learning (X2 variable) is 6.8. From the result both of them can be categorized is good. Meanwhile, based on the calculation, the score of ttest = 7.69 and significant of 5% and dF (n-2), while n is 90. So, the result of ttest is 7.69 > ttable 1.99. It means that there is positive and significant comparison between the students’ ability in writing descriptive text by using individual learning and collaborative learning

    A non-profit entity is an entity whose main purpose is not to make as much profit as it can but to help the community, and its main resources are obtained from contributions from members and other donors without expecting anything in return. A non-profit entity must prepare financial reports under the standards applicable in each reporting period. This study aims to determine whether the financial statements of the Javanese Christian Church of Ungaran (GKJ Ungaran), as a non-profit entity, are following the terms mentioned in the Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) 45. This conformity is determined by comparing the terms contained in PSAK 45 with the financial reporting practices carried out by GKJ Ungaran. The analytical method used is qualitative analysis. The research data used are primary data and secondary data obtained through interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is comparative descriptive analysis. The results show that GKJ Ungaran has not carried out its financial reporting activities under the terms contained in PSAK 45. Furthermore, GKJ Ungaran has not made financial reports that are required by PSAK45. In practice, GKJ Ungaran should carry out its financial reporting activities under applicable standards.Entitas nirlaba merupakan entitas yang tujuan utamanya bukan untuk memperoleh keuntungan melainkan untuk membantu masyarakat, serta sumber daya utamanya diperoleh dari sumbangan para anggota serta penyumbang lain tanpa mengharapkan imbalan apapun. Sebagai bentuk  akuntabilitas dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan operasinya, entitas nirlaba harus menyusun laporan keuangan yang sesuai dengan standar yang berlaku pada setiap periode pelaporan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah laporan Keuangan GKJ Ungaran, sebagai entitas nirlaba, telah sesuai dengan ketentuan Pernyataan Standar Akuntansi Keuangan (PSAK) 45. Kesesuaian ini ditentukan dengan membandingkan ketentuan-ketentuan yang terdapat pada PSAK 45 dengan praktik pelaporan keuangan yang dilakukan oleh GKJ Ungaran. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif. Data penelitian yang digunakan meliputi data primer dan data sekunder yang diperoleh melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif komparatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa GKJ Ungaran belum melakukan kegiatan pelaporan keuangannya sesuai dengan ketentuan yang terdapat dalam PSAK 45. Lebih lanjut, GKJ Ungaran belum membuat laporan keuangan yang diwajibkan ada oleh PSAK 45. Dalam praktiknya, GKJ Ungaran sebaiknya melakukan kegiatan pelaporan keuangan sesuai dengan standar yang berlaku. &nbsp

    The problem of religiosity is one of the themes that characterize the modern era today. This problem was marked by widespread issues of secularization, liberalization and pluralism which triggered reactions from Muslim scientists, such as Muhammad Rasyid Ridha. This text aims to examine Rosyid Ridha's thoughts on the theme of ijtihad, education and politics. By using the analytical descriptive method, this study concludes several important points. First, Rasyid Ridha contributed effectively from all aspects of benefit in the fields of ijtihad, education and politics. He includes religious elements that refer to the Al-Qur'an and Hadith, such as in his teacher Jamaluddin Al-Afghani. Second, he offers a well-known solution, namely by re-buzzing ijtihad. And third, taking modern thinking and then integrating it with Islam without eliminating syari'ah values. In Rida's concept of thought, he always combines Western and Islamic sciences but still prioritizes religion based on the Al-Qur'an and Hadith. Because of this, his thinking is considered to be a solution in facing the modern era today

    Digital competence is very important in the context of education during the pandemic,especially for teachers to support the teaching and learning process. The purpose of thisstudy was to determine the effect of individual characteristics, organizational support anddigital media utilization patterns on the digital competence of SMPN teachers in UjungBatu District, Rokan Hulu Regency. This research is a survey research with 73respondents. Data was collected by using questionnaires and data analysis usingdescriptive statistics and SEM-PLS analysis. The results of the study indicate thatindividual characteristics have a significant effect on teacher digital competence, therewas a significant effect of organizational support on teacher digital competence and therewas a significant effect digital media utilization patterns on digital competence in UjungBatu sub-district, Rokan Hulu Regency

    This study entitled Analysis of the Influence of Zakat Distribution by BAZNAS to The Poor Mustahik In Jambi Province Period 2000-2014. Interest of this study was to 1). To know and analyze the development and distribution of zakat in BAZNAS to mustahik number of poor in Jambi province during the years 2000-2014; 2).Analyze the effect of the distribution of zakat by BAZNAS to the number of poor mustahik in Jambi Province during the years 2000-2014. This research uses descriptive and quantitative analysis methods. Quantitave descriptive analysis method is used to analyze the effect of the distribution of zakat by BAZNAS the number of poor mustahik in Jambi Province during the years 2000-2014. Based on the results of the analysis showed average productive distribution of zakat to the poor mustahik in Jambi province during the years 2000-2014 amounted to Rp 300.725.733, an increase of 33,48 percent annually and the number of poor mustahik in Jambi province during the years 2000-2014 are a number 1,181 inhabitants or an increase of 19,12 percent annually. As well, distribution productive zakat BAZNAS Jambi province turns a significant effect on the number of poor mustahik during the period 2000-2014

    Introduction The main study of plant morphology is about the appearance of plants as a whole and the scientific terms (terminology) used in recognizing plants. In the plant morphology undergraduate students are directed to understand the basic concepts and knowledge about plants and their terminology through learning activities and practicum in laboratory, so that undergraduate students can get complete information about the plants being studied. The information will be organized in working memory to produce a knowledge that can be represented both visually and verbally.Method The aims of this study was to analyze the ability of visual representation and verbal representation of undergraduate students on leaf concepts, analyze visual abilities and verbal abilities, analyze the corellation between visual representation abilities and verbal representation of leaf concepts with visual abilities and verbal abilities of undergraduate students. This research was a descriptive study at the Indonesian University of Education in the plant morphology course of leaf concepts with 30 participants.Results of this study showed that the visual representations of undergraduate students on leaf concepts has moderately correlated with visual abilities of undergraduate students. The verbal representations of undergraduate students on leaf concepts has low correlated with undergraduate students' verbal abilities.Conclusions And Recommendations This result also showed that the good ability of visual representation cannot always be described with good visual abilities, as well as good verbal representation cannot always be described with good verbal abilities.Keywords: visual representation, verbal representation, visual ability, verbal ability. ABSTRAK Pendahuluan Kajian utama morfologi tumbuhan adalah tentang penampilan tumbuhan secara utuh serta istilah-istilah ilmiah (terminologi) yang digunakan dalam mengenali tumbuhan. Pada mata kuliah morfologi tumbuhan mahasiswa diarahkan untuk memahami konsep dan pengetahuan dasar tentang tumbuhan dan terminologinya melalui kegiatan pembelajaran dan praktikum, sehingga mahasiswa dapat memperoleh informasi yang utuh tentang tumbuhan yang dipelajari. Informasi tersebut akan diorganisasikan dalam memori (working memory) sehingga menghasilkan sebuah pengetahuan yang dapat direpresentasikan baik secara visual maupun secara verbal. Metode Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kemampuan representasi visual dan representasi verbal mahasiswa pada materi daun, menganalisis kemampuan visual dan kemampuan verbal umum serta menganalisis hubungan antara kemampuan representasi visual dan representasi verbal materi daun dengan kemampuan visual dan kemampuan verbal umum mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang dilaksanakan di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia pada mata kuliah morfologi tumbuhan materi daun dengan 30 orang mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa kemampuan representasi visual mahasiswa tentang materi daun berkorelasi sedang dengan kemampuan visual umum mahasiswa. Sedangkan kemampuan representasi verbal mahasiswa tentang materi daun berkorelasi rendah dengan kemampuan verbal umum mahasiswa. Kesimpulan dan rekomendasi Hasil ini juga menunjukan bahwa kemampuan representasi visual yang baik tidak selalu dapat digambarkan dengan kemampuan visual umum yang baik, begitu juga dengan kemampuan representasi verbal yang baik tidak selalu dapat digambarkan dengan kemampuan kemampuan verbal umum yang baik.     Practical Plants Classification Using Framing to Reduce Cognivite Load of High School Students

    This study was conducted to reduce the cognitive load of high school students in a classification plant laboratory. The subjects were students of class X IPA one of private high school Favorite in Bandung, divided into experimental class (36 students) and control class (36 students). The experimental class used Framing for practical activities providing dikotomous key scheme, while the control class practical activities carried out in accordance used worksheet conventionally . Cognitive load was measured by looking at differences in the students' ability to receive and process information (information processing), mental effort and learning outcomes in the form of reasoning ability of students in the classification of plants. Data ability to receive and process information captured by task complexity combined worksheet on the worksheet students. Data captured by the mental effort of subjective rating scale questionnaire Likert scale-based, while the data captured using the reasoning ability of students to write test questions based on indicators describing complex thinking. Data were analyzed by using a different test and the average correlation between the three components of cognitive load. The analysis showed both the experimental class and the control class relationship between the ability to accept the reasoning ability showed a positive correlation, while the relationship between mental effort with reasoning abilities showed a negative correlation. These results illustrate the cognitive load balancing character students in practical activities in both classes of plant classification research. However, students in the experimental class has the ability to receive and process information that is higher and significantly different than the control class. Instead the experimental class mental effort value lower than the control class, showed that the cognitive load of students in the experimental class lower than the cognitive load control class. In other words, the use of framing the practical activities of classification of plants in the experimental class has been able to decrease the cognitive load of students

    Beasiswa merupakan dukungan biaya yang diberikan kepada mahasiswa untuk mengikuti dan/atau menyelesaikan pendidikan tinggi berdasarkan pertimbangan utama prestasi atau keterbatasan ekononomi. Proses seleksi penentuan penerima beasiswa masih mengunakan skala prioritas sesuai buku pedoman umum beasiswa dan bantuan biaya pendidikan peningkatan prestasi akademik agar mendapatkan calon penerima beasiswa. Metode Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM) dan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) dapat digunakan untuk pendukung keputusan. Implementasi Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM) digunakan untuk mencari alternatif dari sejumlah alternatif dengan kriteria-kriteria tertentu. selanjutnya dilakukan dengan mencari bobot untuk setiap attribute kemudian menghasilkan perangkingan untuk menentukan nilai alternatif terbaik dengan menggunakan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). Dengan menggunakan sistem pendukung penerima beasiswa dapat membantu proses seleksi beasiswa dengan kriteria yang disyaratkan antara lain IPK, Prestasi mahasiswa, Jumlah anggota keluarga, Pendapatan Orang Tua, Status Pengajuan Beasiswa, dan Semester. Berdasarkan ujicoba sistem pendukung keputusan seleksi Beasiswa Bantuan Biaya Pendidikan PPA (BBP-PPA) yang dibuat dengan metode manual memiliki hubungan mendekati sempurna dari nilai koefisien korelasi Spearman yang diperoleh. Berdasarkan ujicoba tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan positif antara sistem yang dibuat dengan metode manual dalam proses seleksi calon penerima beasiswa. Kata Kunci: MADM, SAW, Beasiswa, Seleksi, Spearman. Implementation of Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM) is used to look for alternatives from a number of alternatives with certain criteria. then performed by searching the weights for each attribute and then generate rangkings to determine the best alternative by using Simple Additive weighting method (SAW). By using the support system the grantee can help the scholarship selection process with the required criteria include GPA, student achievement, number of family members, income Parent, Filing Status Scholarship, and Semester. Based on the test selection decision support system Education Costs Scholarship Assistance PPA (BBP-PPA) made with the manual method has a near-perfect correlation of Spearman correlation coefficient values were obtained. Based on these trials can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between the system created by manual methods in the selection process of the applicants.     NKUIRY LABORATORIUM DAN NILAINYA DALAM PENGAJARAN SAINS

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh implementasi pengajaran inkuiri laboratorium sebagai sebuah strategi pembelajaran di laboratorium terhadap pencapaian learning outcome (capaian pembelajaran) oleh siswa. Inkuiri merupakan standar pengajaran sains yang harus menjadi standar mutu dalam pengajaran sains. Inkuiri merupakan pengalaman belajar yang harus diselenggarakan guru untuk membantu siswa memperoleh sejumlah kompetensi yang diharapkan dalam pengajaran sains. Hasil reviev terhadap 30 artikel tentanng dampak pengajaran di laboratorium yang berbasis inkuiri laboratorium diperoleh informasi bahwa inkuiri laboratorium dapat berpengaruh positif terhadap sejumlah dimensi kompetensi diantaranya: pada dimensi kompetensi sikap, (inkuiri laboratorium dapat membangun sikap positif siswa terhadap sains dan nature of science). Pada dimensi kompetensi pengetahuan inkuri laboratorium dapat membantu siswa mengkonstruksi pengetahuan. Pada dimensi kompetensi keterampilan inkuiri laboratorium dapat melatih keterampilan proses, berfikir kritis, kratif dan melatih nalar siswa. Dampak positif inkuiri laboratorium tersebut dapat menjadi dasar dalam mengembangkan program pengajaran di laboratorium yang dapat membangun kompetensi mahasiswa secara paripurna
