Beaconless Packet Forwarding Approach for Vehicular Urban Environment
Existing wireless technologies provide communication and information services to all fields of life. The one of the emerging and popular field is vehicular ad hoc networks, with its unique characteristics and highly mobile environment. Different types of routing protocols have been proposed to address the routing issues in network and one of the most efficient types is geographical routing. In this type of protocols, the beacon messages are using to update the node locations and positions. However, these protoocls have been suffered with high channel congestion issue in the network. To this end, we propose a beaconless packet forwarding strategy based on modified handshake messages mechanism. The protocol uses some realistic metrics to select the next forwarder node such as forward progresss and link quality. The protocol performance is evaluated with existing beacon and beaconless geographical routing protocols. The simulation results showed the better performance of the proposed protocol in terms of packet delay and data delivery ratio in realistic wireless channel conditions

Stock prices’ variability around earnings announcement dates at Karachi Stock Exchange
The purpose of this study is to investigate how earnings announcement event affects stock returns at Karachi Stock Exchange
(KSE). For this purpose we use the KSE-100 Index as our sample. We use the CAR Analysis to analyze the impact of earnings
announcement over the stock returns around announcement dates. Our results suggest that KSE experiences abnormal stock
returns around earnings announcement dates for the overall market and for different categories which indicate that efficient
market hypothesis does not hold in Pakistani market and point out the presence of informational dissemination inefficiencies in
the marke
Mela Jaloos,(Festival Procession)
Mela Jaloos (Translation: Festival Procession, in Urdu) is a 13-minute film that embarks upon a speculative queer Muslim journey of celebration, resistance and protest. Taking a performance-based approach, the film uses poetic, hybrid and dramatic means to present a kaleidoscope of influences that are rooted in Sufi histories, queerness, and life in Lahore, Pakistan.
The narrative of the film is centred around a conversation between Mela, Jaloos, and the river Ravi. The three characters come together to discuss and respond to the end of the world, collapsed timelines, and its subsequent impact on the present. What unfolds is a journey and dance of spiritual transgression, opening a cosmos of queer Muslim potentialities and sexuality
