Criação e implementação de um método de caixa de rufo com play along

Mestrado em Ensino da MúsicaA aprendizagem da Caixa de Rufo assume um papel de relevância no currículo da disciplina de Percussão nas escolas de ensino especializado da Música em Portugal. No entanto, o carácter simples e repetitivo do repertório trabalhado no início da aprendizagem, aliado a uma limitação sonora do próprio instrumento quando comparado com instrumentos melódicos, torna por vezes a prática da Caixa pouco motivadora. O trabalho desenvolvido neste projecto consistiu na criação e implementação de um método para Caixa de Rufo com Play Along para alunos iniciantes e na verificação da sua funcionalidade enquanto elemento potenciador da motivação e facilitador da aprendizagem. A sua implementação permitiu diversificar a forma de aprendizagem do instrumento, tornando a sua prática mais entusiasmante. Através dos inquéritos realizados, foi possível verificar que os alunos em início de aprendizagem, se sentem mais motivados para o estudo da Caixa, quando o repertório trabalhado inclui a utilização de Play Along. Assim, procurou-se perceber se a utilização deste método pode trazer mais vantagens para o desenvolvimento dos alunos do que os métodos tradicionais que não incluem Play Along.Snare Drum learning has a special role in the Percussion course curriculum in specialized Music schools in Portugal. However the simple and repetitive character of the repertoire used in the beginning of the learning procedure, along with a limitation of the sound of this instrument, when compared to melodic instruments, makes the practice of the Snare Drum very less motivating. In this project we created and put in place a method for Snare Drum with Play Along for beginners and verifyed its functionality as an element to increase motivation and as a learning facilitator. Its implementation allowed to explore and diversify the learning of the instrument making its practice much more exciting and fun. Through the enquires conducted, it was possible to verify that students in the beginning of the learning process felt more motivated to study the Snare Drum when the repertoire included Play Along exercises. Thereby with this study we aimed to understand if using this method could bring more bennefits to the students improvement than traditional methods, that do not include Play Along

Next generation earth‑to‑space telecommand coding and synchronization: ground system design, optimization and software implementation

The Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems, followed by all national and international space agencies, has updated the Telecommand Coding and Synchronization sublayer to introduce new powerful low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes. Their large coding gains significantly improve the system performance and allow new Telecommand services and profiles with higher bit rates and volumes. In this paper, we focus on the Telecommand transmitter implementation in the Ground Station baseband segment. First, we discuss the most important blocks and we focus on the most critical one, i.e., the LDPC encoder. We present and analyze two techniques, one based on a Shift Register Adder Accumulator and the other on Winograd convolution both exploiting the block circulant nature of the LDPC matrix. We show that these techniques provide a significant complexity reduction with respect to the usual encoder mapping, thus allowing to obtain high uplink bit rates. We then discuss the choice of a proper hardware or software platform, and we show that a Central Processing Unit-based software solution is able to achieve the high bit rates requested by the new Telecommand applications. Finally, we present the results of a set of tests on the real-time software implementation of the new system, comparing the performance achievable with the different encoding options

FATORES-CHAVE DE SUCESSO NA JORNADA DA GESTÃO DE ATIVOS E CERTIFICAÇÃO ISO 55001 DA E-REDES

E-REDES has developed, throughout more than a decade, the improvement of its asset management system, based initially on PAS 55 and, later, on the ISO 55000 standards. Culminating that path, E-REDES decided to obtain an ISO 55001 certification, which was obtained in 2022, with a scope covering the electrical energy distribution grids operated by E-REDES in HV, MV and LV. The certification obtained demonstrates, towards E-REDES’ stakeholders, that the company has clear asset management goals, balancing the expectations of the several interested parties, through an asset management system that addresses the short-, medium- and long-term challenges associated with energy transition.A E-REDES promoveu, ao longo de um período de mais de uma década, a melhoria do seu sistema de gestão de ativos, alinhando inicialmente com os requisitos da PAS 55 e, posteriormente, das normas da série ISO 55000. Após esse percurso, decidiu então procurar obter a certificação na ISO 55001, tendo alcançado esse objetivo em 2022, numa certificação cujo âmbito abrange a globalidade das redes de distribuição operadas pela E-REDES em AT, MT e BT. A certificação permite demonstrar, perante os stakeholders, que a E-REDES tem objetivos claros de gestão de ativos, equilibrando as expectativas dos diversos intervenientes, num sistema de gestão de ativos e em que uma das bases são os objetivos que garantem a resposta aos desafios de curto, médio e longo prazo colocados pela transição energética, entre outros

Comparative study between radiological and surgical findings of chronic otitis media

INTRODUCTION: The chronic otitis media (COM) is a prevalent disease and the most frequent cause of indication to mastoidectomy. Many studies have evaluated the use of tomography (CT) of temporal bones for preoperative evaluation of COM and its indication in the preoperative approach is still controversial nowadays. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the sensitivity of the clinical and radiological findings of COM according to the intraoperative surgical results and histopathological findings. METHOD: Transversal retrospective study through collection of record data of patients with COM submitted to mastoidectomy in the period from 2007 through 2008 in our service. RESULTS: From a total of 82 ears, 40.24% had cholesteatoma. The CT presented 72.73% of sensitivity in the identification of cholesteatoma, 56.67% in the identification of changes to the ossicular chain and 100% in that of erosion of the lateral semicircular canal. CONCLUSION: The clinical and radiological findings showed a high level sensitivity with intraoperative findings as regards to the presence of cholesteatoma, large changes of the ossicular chain and erosion of the lateral semicircular canal. For minor changes to the ossicular chain, the facial nerve canal and the tympanic tegmen they described low sensitivity.INTRODUÇÃO: A otite média crônica (OMC) é uma doença prevalente, e trata-se da causa mais frequente de indicação de mastoidectomia. Muitos estudos têm avaliado a utilização da tomografia (TC) de ossos temporais na avaliação pré-operatória da OMC e sua indicação no pré-operatório ainda permanece controversa nos dias atuais. OBJETIVO: Avaliar a sensibilidade dos achados clínicos e radiológicos de OMC de acordo com os resultados cirúrgicos intra-operatórios e achados histopatológicos. MÉTODO: Estudo retrospectivo transversal através de coleta de dados de prontuários de pacientes com OMC submetidos a mastoidectomia no período de 2007 a 2008 em nosso serviço. RESULTADOS: Em um total de 82 orelhas, 40,24% apresentavam colesteatoma. A TC apresentou 72,73% de sensibilidade na identificação do colesteatoma, 56,67% na identificação de alterações da cadeia ossicular e 100% na de erosão do canal semicircular lateral. CONCLUSÃO: Os achados clínicos e radiológicos mostraram boa sensibilidade com os achados intra-operatórios com relação à presença de colesteatoma, grandes alterações da cadeia ossicular e erosão do canal semicircular lateral. Já para alterações menores da cadeia ossicular, do canal do nervo facial e do tegmem timpânico apresentaram baixa sensibilidade.UNIFESPfaculdade de medicina do ABCHospital Estadual de DiademaUNIFESPSciEL
