Equivariant dendroidal sets and simplicial operads

We establish a Quillen equivalence between the homotopy theories of equivariant Segal operads and equivariant simplicial operads with norm maps. Together with previous work, we further conclude that the homotopy coherent nerve is a right-Quillen equivalence from the model category of equivariant simplicial operads with norm maps to the model category structure for equivariant-\infty-operads in equivariant dendroidal sets.Comment: v3: Improvements to exposition and minor edits, in response to referee suggestion

Accounting for Income Mobility in Opportunity: Strategies for improving intergenerational income mobility for subsidized housing residents in Northeast Ohio

This paper uses a series of data indicators to assess the likelihood that neighborhoods in Ohio's Cuyahoga and Summit counties identified as "high-opportunity" by the Ohio Housing Finance Agency will retain high levels of job accessibility in the near future. It also measures the degree to which these neighborhoods provide the kinds of environment that promote long-term upward income mobility for children, using a mobility index based on the work of Chetty, et al. (2014).Ope

Vortex distribution in a confining potential

We study a model of interacting vortices in a type II superconductor. In the weak coupling limit, we constructed a mean-field theory which allows us to accurately calculate the vortex density distribution inside a confining potential. In the strong coupling limit, the correlations between the particles become important and the mean-field theory fails. Contrary to recent suggestions, this does not imply failure of the Boltzmann-Gibbs statistical mechanics, as we clearly demonstrate by comparing the results of Molecular Dynamics and Monte Carlo simulations

In this article we sketch a brief overview of preaching in medieval\ud Portugal, especially emphasising the ephemeral and irrecoverable nature\ud of the sermon's actio. In reality, extant testimonies only provide access to\ud the offstage realm of sermon composition and preservation. Close examination\ud of two fourteenth-century sermon outlines, preserved in King Edward's\ud Livro dos Canse/has, will allow us to deduce the legitimising function of sacred\ud eloquence and its affinity with political discourse
