The article analyses the use and distribution of the European Social Fund's resources among the Polish regions and identifies the target groups of their beneficiaries. Operations undertaken by offices on labor market are very important not only locally but also regionally. Available forms support creation of work places, help people without professional experience to get or develop new qualification. It is proper to continue mention effects and encourage potential assigns for participation in projects.Wstąpienie Polski do Unii Europejskiej i pozyskanie środków Europejskiego Funduszu Społecznego umożliwiło wojewódzkim i powiatowym urzędom pracy realizację projektów ukierunkowanych na aktywną walkę z bezrobociem. Mimo, iż EFS jest jednym z najstarszych funduszy Unii Europejskiej, to nadal pozostaje jednym z najistotniejszych narzędzi ułatwiającym osobom poszukującym pracę nabycie lub poszerzenie potrzebnych do jej znalezienia umiejętności. Wspiera projekty skierowane do tych, którzy po raz pierwszy poszukują pracy, a także tych, którzy długotrwale pozostają bez pracy

From Moscow to Madrid: Postmodern Cities, European Cinema

    Get PDF
Mazierska's and Rascaroli's From Moscow to Madrid is a fascinating experiment in imaginary cartography, which explores the representation of cities in contemporary European cinema while drawing freely on film history, sociology, politics and cultural studies. The authors choose the postmodern discourse as a theoretical framework to analyze the complex psyche of modern European cities as it is filtered through the cinematic medium. Their cities are postmodern spectacles testifying to the death of God, to the collapse of any overarching and unifying myths and ideologies and to the ensuing fragmentation and diversification. Although the authors are fascinated by the scale of social, economic and political changes which orchestrated the shift from modern to postmodern city, they do not celebrate it but rather count the losses in sensibilities and examine the cracks in ideologies. What strikes in their account is sadness and nostalgia for some lost city which no longer has place..

Implementation of activities under article 42 of Teacher’s Charter in terms of diversity of physical activity

Prezentowana publikacja dotyczy wybranych zagadnień związanych z kulturą fizyczną i zdrowotną współczesnego człowieka. Autorzy – specjaliści z zakresu pedagogiki, nauk medycznych i nauk o kulturze fizycznej – podejmują m.in. problematykę wartości kultury fizycznej w procesie kształcenia i wychowania, współczesnych czynników promocji zdrowia i edukacji zdrowotnej, zdrowotnych uwarunkowań aktywności ruchowej czy społecznych kontekstów idei olimpijskiej. Tematyka ta wpisuje się w ważny nurt rozważań, w którym poszukuje się nowych rozwiązań pedagogicznych, zwłaszcza w odniesieniu do idei edukacji olimpijskiej i zdrowotnej.Since September 1st 2009, all teachers have been required to carry out activities under Article 42 of the Teachers’ Charter, within working hours. The aim of these activities is to increase educational opportunities for students by working with gifted students or those with learning difficulties, and developing individual interests. Therefore, in the field of school physical education, an additional opportunity has been created for the realisation of a variety of physical activities, including sport, recreation, tourism and health. Referring to the arrangements for the implementation of the working hours, which is mentioned in Article 42, point 2 of the Teacher’s Charter, studies have been conducted on a group of 78 physical education teachers in primary, lower secondary and upper secondary schools. The research, carried out by a diagnostic survey at the methodical conference in 2014, aimed at gathering opinions on: forms and areas of the implementation of the activities, assessment of the effectiveness of ongoing didactic and educational forms of activities, and determining whether the activities organised by teachers take into account the needs and interests of students, and fundamental canons of methodology of physical education. Gathered results confirm the thesis of the superiority of sport activities over the recreational ones and low status of health education in the implementation of corrective and compensatory gymnastics

Magic, emotions and film producers: unlocking the “black-box” of film production

    Get PDF
The starting point in the article is production culture research. Dorota Ostrowska points that – contradictiory to promises – this approach still failed to provide analisis showing connection between production culture and textual characteristic of particular films. She mentions a few successful research endevours aimed to highlight that connection such as Wisconsin researches classical Hollywood cinema examining. Then Ostrowska proposes Flusser’s reflections and Action-Network Theory as promising theoretical backgrounds for production culture research. In conclusion she points also the persepctive originated in organisational science (subdivision of management studies) as a worthy tool to aplication in film production studies. This approaches is based on close examining of organization also in emotional and sensual terms. Ostrowska argues that emotional dimension of cinema, which is traditionally highlightened, could be also connected with production process and work of film crews

Administracyjnoprawne uwarunkowania rozwoju energetyki wiatrowej w Polsce

On July 15, 2016, a legal act entered into force, which electrified the business community, especially the unconventional energy industry, local government authorities, and all those who saw the development of the alternative energy sector as the only solution for the global energy crisis. This is about the Act of 20 May 2016 on Investments in Wind Power Plants, which set out the conditions, rules and procedures for the location and operation of wind farms with a power greater than the power of a micro installation, as well as the conditions for the location of housing developments (residential buildings and mixed-use buildings) in the vicinity of wind farms. This Act has been named, both by scholars of law and the media, “another special legislation”, although it is not a typical special legislation. Although it is a lex specialis in relation to the Act of 7 July 1994 – Construction Law, as well as the Act of 27 March 2003 on Spatial Planning and Land Development, its provisions, unlike any “special legislation”, do not introduce preferential conditions for investors with regard to identifying location and authorization for the project covered by it. On the contrary, they introduce a number of significant constraints in the process. The legislature’s goal of increasing the transparency of the wind farm building permit process has come at too high a cost; at the expense of violating basic constitutional standards, notably the principle of proportionality and the principle of protection of property.W dniu 15 lipca 2016 r. wszedł w życie akt prawny, który zelektryzował środowisko przedsiębiorców (zwłaszcza z branży energetyki niekonwencjonalnej), władze samorządów gminnych oraz wszystkich tych, którzy w rozwoju sektora alternatywnych źródeł energii upatrują jedynego antidotum na globalny kryzys energetyczny.

Thermodynamic modelling and experimental validation of High Entropy Alloys containing Al, Co, Cr, Fe, Mo, Ni, Ta and W for high-temperature applications

    Get PDF
The aim of the current project is to contribute to the design of novel High Entropy Alloys (HEAs) which meet targeted industrial needs, for instance the request for new high-temperature alloys. HEAs attracted a lot of attention due to their promising high temperature mechanical performance. Taking into account a very wide range of alloys that fall into this group of materials, using only experimental investigations would be insufficient in finding new compositions with attractive properties. The objective is achieved by thermodynamic modelling of the Al-Co-Cr-Fe-Mo-Ni-Ta-W system, through the CALPHAD method, in order to predict the best candidate elements and compositions which can give the required structure. The reliable and self-consistent database is obtained by assessing several important ternary systems and by adopting published assessments, if they were compatible with the models selected in this work. The reliability of the database is verified with experimental measurements performed during this work regarding the reference system Al-Co-Cr-Fe-Ni, as well as the critically selected published experimental data regarding several other multicomponent systems containing Mo and W. The synergy between modelling and experimental validation produce a highly reliable thermodynamic database which allows to screen and quickly identify high performance compositions, with a significant reduction in time and costs with respect to traditional trial and error experiments

The purpose of this article is to analyze how young customers (aged 18–29) perceive using the Internet as a means to purchase products. The nationwide research (N=770) was carried out by an innovative CAWI method at the end of 2012. The group of young adults uses the online eagerly; 98% of them do it every day. In the year 2012, as much as 86% of those surveyed, purchased goods via Internet at least once. Furthermore, a significant number of them (70%) perceive the Internet as an essential channel for communication with firms. The group of young adults constitutes the core of the internet community and therefore should be considered a target group for firms selling products and services online. It is expected that the dynamic development of the information technologies in our society will lead to an increase in the number of internet trade transactions, provided that there is further customers’ approval and satisfaction in this area.

Bureaucrationality Behind the Scenes Field Study of Bureaucrats’ Balance Between Objectivity and Compassion

    Get PDF
Considering the depersonalization that the bureaucratic role entails, it is interesting to analyze the bureaucratic role-play that occurs between public and private sphere from a dramaturgical perspective. In order to investigate the personal shift of bureaucrats’ attitude, I conducted participant observations and interviews at an office of a Swedish Agency. Based on critical theory and feminist critique, the main research question regarded how a bureaucrat is balancing between objectivity and compassion in their daily work. The findings show that fragmentation of bureaucratic system entails a distribution of accountability for each element of the process, however, absence of responsibility for the final outcome. Bureaucrats deciding upon cases are physically distanced from their customers, whereas street-level bureaucrats are mostly information providers. The system constitutes a precondition for emotional detachment and imbalance between objectivity and compassion. Expressing compassion is considered as belonging to the private sphere, among intimate relationships. Expressing objectivity, which represents reason, is considered as belonging to the public sphere
