Exercício do pensamento computacional no ensino superior em computação : investigação de uma abordagem baseada em desafios

A literatura na área também reconhece a importância e relevância do Pensamento Computacional, entretanto, ainda existem poucas evidências em torno de como apoiar o exercício dessas habilidades no ensino superior em Computação. Diante do exposto, esta pesquisa teve como objetivo investigar uma abordagem para apoiar o exercício do Pensamento Computacional no ensino superior em Computação. A abordagem Pense Computacionalmente foi criada com o propósito de apoiar professores e pesquisadores durante a concepção e condução de práticas educacionais que promovam o Pensamento Computacional por meio do processo de solução dos desafios que considera os quatro pilares do Pensamento Computacional. A abordagem tem como premissa que o Pensamento Computacional deve ser explicitamente exercitado no primeiro semestre da graduação de forma significativa, colaborativa, contextualizada, desplugada e baseada em desafios. Desenvolvemos a abordagem para ser utilizada ou adaptada para diferentes contextos educacionais, sendo composta por: um conjunto de orientações sobre como preparar e conduzir o exercício do Pensamento Computacional; um conjunto de sete práticas (desafios) para serem utilizadas ou inspirar a criação de novas; um método para guiar a condução da prática e instruir estudantes a proporem uma solução; e um artefato para apoiar a análise das soluções para coletar evidências do exercício do Pensamento Computacional. Para experimentarmos a abordagem e investigar as potencialidades e fragilidades, realizamos seis estudos de caso. Os estudos de caso foram conduzidos em ofertas diferentes da disciplina de Introdução à Ciência da Computação, dos cursos de Bacharelado em Ciência da Computação e Informática Biomédica da UFPR. Os resultados revelam que os desafios foram bem avaliados tanto pelos docentes quanto discentes, e foram muito bons em provocar o raciocínio e promover o interesse. Além disso, os resultados demonstram que estudantes exercitaram o Pensamento Computacional e desenvolveram a percepção do exercício dessas habilidades. Desse modo, atingimos o objetivo específico de investigar uma abordagem para apoiar o exercício do Pensamento Computacional no ensino superior em Computação. Como resultados desta pesquisa também podemos citar: contribuições conceituais: definição do Pensamento Computacional e suas habilidades no contexto do ensino superior em Computação; relação dos passos realizados durante a resolução de um desafio com as habilidades do Pensamento Computacional; e definição de como coletar evidências do exercício do Pensamento Computacional; contribuição metodológica: como conduzir atividades que foquem no exercício do Pensamento Computacional no ensino superior em Computação; e contribuição técnica: abordagem formatada em material didático.Abstract: The curriculum guidelines for Computing undergraduate courses point out that computational thinking should be a skill exercised by all students in those courses. However, they do not reveal when and how these skills should be developed. The literature in the area also recognizes the importance and relevance of Computational Thinking. There is still little evidence around how to support the exercise of these skills in higher education in Computing. Given the above, this research aimed to investigate an approach to support the exercise of Computational Thinking in higher education in Computing. The Pense Computacionalmente approach was created to support teachers and researchers during the design and conduct of educational practices that promote the exercise of computational thinking through the process of solving challenges considering the four pillars of computational thinking. The approach is based on the premise that Computational Thinking should be explicitly exercised in the first semester of undergraduate courses in a meaningful, collaborative, contextualized, unplugged, and challenge-based way. We developed the approach to be used or adapted for different educational contexts, comprising: a set of guidelines on how to prepare and conduct the exercise of Computational Thinking; a set of seven practices (challenges) to be used or to inspire the creation of new ones; a method to guide the conduct of the practice and instruct the students to propose a solution; and an artifact to support the analysis of solutions to collect evidence from the exercise of Computational Thinking. In order to try out the approach and investigate its strengths and weaknesses, we carried out six case studies. The case studies were conducted in different offerings of the subject Introduction to Computer Science, of the Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics at UFPR. The studies' results reveal that the challenges were well evaluated by both teachers and students, and were very good at provoking reasoning and promoting students' interest. In addition, the results demonstrate that students exercised Computational Thinking and developed the perception of exercising these skills. In this way, we achieved the specific objective of investigating an approach to support the exercise of Computational Thinking in higher education in Computing. As results of this research, we can also mention: conceptual contributions: the definition of Computational Thinking and its abilities in the context of higher education in Computing; the relationship of the steps taken during the challenge resolution with Computational Thinking skills; and the characterization of how to collect evidence of the exercise of the Computational Thinking; methodological contribution: how to conduct activities that focus on the exercise of Computational Thinking in higher education in Computing; and technical contribution: approach formatted in didactic material

Sequenciamento inteligente e adaptativo de enunciados em programação de computadores

Defesa: Curitiba, 12/09/2016Inclui referências : f. 98-103Resumo: A presente dissertação detalha uma abordagem para tratar do sequenciamento inteligente e adaptativo de enunciados, considerando a modelagem dinâmica do aprendiz, no domínio de Programação de Computadores. A metodologia utiliza grafos genéticos como base para a representação interna. Com isso, aspectos de sobreposição destacam o progresso do aprendiz frente ao conhecimento do domínio, além da contribuição individual de cada enunciado. Propõe-se, então, um processo de ordenação heurística que indica capacidades a serem desenvolvidas pelo aprendiz, bem como o sequenciamento adaptativo de enunciados que contribuam nessa evolução. A atualização do modelo e a extração de informações úteis sobre a aprendizagem, por _m, são analisadas. A implementação de um protótipo de ferramenta suporta a abordagem descrita. Palavras-chave: sequenciamento de enunciados, ensino de programação de computadores, representação de conhecimento, sistemas tutores inteligentes, múltiplas representações externasAbstract: This dissertation details an approach to deal with intelligent and adaptive exercise ordering, considering the student dynamic modeling in Computer Programming domain. The methodology uses genetic graphs as a basis for the internal representation. Thus, overlaying aspects highlight the progress of the learner compared to the domain knowledge, and to the individual contribution of each exercise. Then is proposed a heuristic ordering process that indicates capabilities to be developed by the student, as also an adaptive exercise ordering that contributes in this evolution. The model update and the extraction of useful information about learning, lastly, are analyzed. An implemented software tool prototype supports the approach here described. Teaching Computational Thinking: are we considering students' socio-cultural context?

INTRODUCTION: Research to promote Computational Thinking (CT) has become frequent and carried out with the most different characteristics. Educational researchers argue that learning research needs to consider aspects of students' sociocultural context, regardless of what tools are used and how content is worked. However, it is not known if, and to what extent, these aspects are being considered in research to promote CT. OBJECTIVE: This research investigates whether the literature on initiatives to teach CT is recognizing and exploring aspects of students' sociocultural context and, mainly, how this is occurring. METHOD:A systematic review of the literature covering a decade (2007-2017) of articles published in the main vehicles of Computer Science in Education and Computer Science, considering the national and international scenario. RESULTS: The data indicate the students' sociocultural context is not being considered in the activities, although there is evidence that the scenario may be beginning to change. CONCLUSION: The results show that there is a growing concern and an evident effort by researchers to bring relevant elements of students' lives into the conducted practices. However, although it is possible to identify aspects of students' sociocultural context being considered by the mapped researches, it is still necessary to advance in terms of the rigor of the characterization of these aspects and the theoretical basis of the research

A RELAÇÃO ENSINO E DANÇA: DIÁLOGOS ENTRE LABAN E A DANÇA DO VENTRE

Since the appearance of the Degree Course in Dance of the UFC in 2011, integrant ofthe Institute of Culture and Art, it was possible to develop questions about dance. Inthis work is questioned the teaching of this artistic language from the reproduction orcopy, something recurrent in most of the dances. This also occurs with the bellydance,object of study of this research. Through readings and associations with the subject,are proposed methodological approaches to modify the teaching usually used inbellydance from Laban's studies. So, this research discusses the possible ways toteaches an encoded dance of a new way which deconstructs the knowledges alreadyapprehended at the same time that presents knowledges never before mentioned.  A partir do surgimento dos Cursos de Graduação em Dança da UFC em 2011,integrante do Instituto de Cultura e Arte, foi possível desenvolver questões a respeitoda dança. Neste trabalho é questionado o ensino dessa linguagem artística a partir dareprodução ou cópia, algo recorrente na maioria das danças. Isso ocorre também com adança do ventre, objeto de estudo dessa pesquisa. Através de leituras e associações como tema, são propostas abordagens metodológicas para modificar o ensino usualmenteutilizado em dança do ventre a partir dos estudos de Laban. Logo, essa pesquisadiscute os caminhos possíveis para ensinar uma dança codificada de um modo novo oqual desconstrói os saberes já apreendidos ao mesmo tempo em que apresentaconhecimentos nunca antes mencionados neste contexto

EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL NO PARQUE ESTADUAL DO CANTÃO, TOCANTINS - UMA EXPERIÊNCIA NA TRANSIÇÃO ENTRE O CERRADO E A AMAZÔNIA

O presente artigo aborda o tema da Educação Ambiental em escolas do entorno de unidades de conservação, através de revisão bibliográfica sobre o tema e de um estudo de caso em uma escola pública de Ensino Fundamental, do município de Caseara no estado do Tocantins, vizinha ao Parque Estadual do Cantão, uma das áreas protegidas mais relevantes do bioma Amazônico. O estudo mostra a importância de reforçar o elo entre as áreas protegidas e suas respectivas comunidades de entorno, assegurando benefícios tanto para a gestão dessas áreas como para as próprias comunidades.

Imposto Territorial Rural: análise quantitativa da descentralização do imposto nos municípios brasileiros

Abstract Brazilian municipalities have a weak own collection base, with the objective of increasing their own resources, the opportunity arises to realize the total collection of the Rural Territorial Tax (ITR), which is the responsibility of the Union and 50% transferred to the municipality of origin, by means of the adoption of an agreement with the Union. In this sense, the present research had the objective of analyzing the collection of the ITR of all the Brazilian municipalities making a comparison between the agreed ones or not to verify if they presented increase in the collection after adhesion to the agreement. Methodologically, StatisticalPacotof SocialScience (SPSS) software was used to estimate the multiple linear regression model. The results showed that statistically there is no significant influence in relation to the municipalities being or not agreed, one of the factors relevant to the level of tax collection, was the municipality had a high value added to agriculture which is understood to have activity predominantly agricultural and livestock production and for this reason will have a higher income from the collection of the ITR.Os municípios brasileiros possuem uma fraca base de arrecadação própria, com o objetivo de aumentar seus recursos próprios surge a oportunidade em realizar a arrecadação total do Imposto Territorial Rural (ITR), que é de competência da União e 50% transferido ao município de origem, por meio da adoção de um convênio com a União. Nesse sentido, a presente pesquisa teve por objetivo analisar a arrecadação do ITR de todos os municípios brasileiros fazendo uma comparação entre os conveniados ou não para verificar se apresentaram aumento na arrecadação após adesão ao convênio. Metodologicamente foi utilizado o software StatisticalPacotof SocialScience (SPSS) para estimação do modelo de regressão linear múltipla. Os resultados demonstraram que estatisticamente não há influência significativa em relação aos municípios serem ou não conveniados, um dos fatores relevantes quanto ao nível de arrecadação do tributo, foi o município possuir um índice elevado de valor adicionado á agricultura o que subentende-se que possuem atividade econômica predominantemente agropecuária e por esse motivo terá uma maior receita da arrecadação do ITR

NOVA mobility assistive system: Developed and remotely controlled with IOPT-tools

UID/EEA/00066/2020In this paper, a Mobility Assistive System (NOVA-MAS) and a model-driven development approach are proposed to support the acquisition and analysis of data, infrastructures control, and dissemination of information along public roads. A literature review showed that the work related to mobility assistance of pedestrians in wheelchairs has a gap in ensuring their safety on road. The problem is that pedestrians in wheelchairs and scooters often do not enjoy adequate and safe lanes for their circulation on public roads, having to travel sometimes side by side with vehicles and cars moving at high speed. With NOVA-MAS, city infrastructures can obtain information regarding the environment and provide it to their users/vehicles, increasing road safety in an inclusive way, contributing to the decrease of the accidents of pedestrians in wheelchairs. NOVA-MAS not only supports information dissemination, but also data acquisition from sensors and infrastructures control, such as traffic light signs. For that, it proposed a development approach that supports the acquisition of data from the environment and its control while using a tool framework, named IOPT-Tools (Input-Output Place-Transition Tools). IOPT-Tools support controllers’ specification, validation, and implementation, with remote operation capabilities. The infrastructures’ controllers are specified through IOPT Petri net models, which are then simulated using computational tools and verified using state-space-based model-checking tools. In addition, an automatic code generator tool generates the C code, which supports the controllers’ implementation, avoiding manual codification errors. Art and ethics of materials in the work of Vital Pessoa de Melo, 1968-1976

This paper explores the aftermaths in the architecture of the State of Pernambuco, Brazil, of two fundamental issues in the international and national architectural debate of the 1950/60s: the manifestation of a Brutalist sensibility and the concerns for the integration between art and architecture. The modern architecture produced in Pernambuco was not isolated and crystallized, but inclined to assimilate other national and international influences. Through the work of Vital Pessoa de Melo, we attempt to establish relationships between the ethics/aesthetics of brutalism and the geometrical and spatial combinations of the artistic vanguards and show how they can be integrated in an architecture embodied with an ethic, artistic and cultural sense.Este texto explora las repercusiones en la arquitectura del Estado de Pernambuco, Brasil, de dos temas fundamentales en el debate arquitectónico nacional e internacional de los años 1950/60: el surgimiento de una sensibilidad dita brutalista e las preocupaciones con la integración entre arte y arquitectura. La arquitectura moderna hecha en Pernambuco no se estaba aislada o cristalizada. RESPONSABILIDADE SOCIOAMBIENTAL E INTEGRAÇÃO: O CASO CARGILL AGRÍCOLA S/A - COMPLEXO INDUSTRIAL DE UBERLÂNDIA – MG

As demandas por um convívio harmonioso com a natureza tem se intensificado a cada dia. No caso das organizações, tais demandas têm sido respondidas por meio das ações de responsabilidade socioambiental. A fim de tentar entender essa questão, o objetivo deste trabalho foi verificar se a gestão socioambiental é um valor para a Cargill Agrícola S/A - Complexo Industrial de Uberlândia. A pesquisa caracteriza-se por um estudo de caso com múltiplas fontes de evidências e os dados foram analisados por intermédio de técnicas qualitativas e quantitativas. Os resultados evidenciaram que tais questões na Cargill ainda se encontram no nível dos artefatos culturais. A Empresa possui práticas de gestão socioambiental consistentes, porém, ainda não plenamente compartilhadas
