    Implementation of Augmented Reality as Information and Promotion Media on Dieng Tourism Area

    Information and promotion became necessary for tourists to get also improve their knowledge of tourism and their experiences about the tourist destination. Dieng tourist area had manytourist attractions and would be styled to be promoted at the world level tourism by Central Java government in Indonesia, but tourist information and promotional media not yet structured and interactive, as well as the need of media that can provide knowledge, experience for tourists with packaged in an interactive and interesting way. The purpose of this research is to produce Augmented Reality application that could visualize information of Dieng tourism objects, as an interactive, interesting information and tourism promotional media. The user would get information about every tourist attraction in Dieng through the augmented reality application that contains many contents about the sites by scanned Natural Marker that already exist in every Dieng tourist attraction sites with his smartphone

In Dieng tourism area, tourist information and promotional media has not been structured, as well as the need of media. The purpose of this research is produce Augmented Reality application that can visualize information of Dieng tourism, as interactive and interesting information, promotion tourism media. This research produces an android application which is used as information and promotion media of tourism in Dieng. Testing according to ISO 25010 with functional suitability got 100% suitability with Blackbox test, on portability aspect application successfully installed, update and uninstall on various smartphone environment, on performance efficiency aspect show average launch time is 1817 ms and also 0,22% CPU and 177,8 MB Memory usage. Results usability obtained SUS score 79.6 indicates the application get acceptable category to be used as information and tourism promotion media in Dieng

    Environmental Sustainability Scale for Children 60-72 Months Old: A Validity and Reliability Study

    In recent years, the importance of sustainability has been realized with ever-increasing environmental issues. The preschool period is the most appropriate time for developing an awareness of sustainability as children acquire basic habits during this period and maintain these habits throughout their lives. This study was aimed at developing a scale to evaluate environmental sustainability behaviors in children aged 60-72 months. The validity and reliability study of the scale was limited to 60-72-month-old preschool children, the 2017-2018 academic year and Istanbul (Kadıkoy and Besiktas districts), Kutahya and Yalova provinces. The total number of participants was 426. The 41 scale items developed by the researchers were submitted to six field specialists for review, and the scale was finalized in accordance with the Lawshe method prior to commencing validity and reliability studies. The study data were gathered with the Environmental Sustainability Scale for Children aged 60-72 Months that comprised 2 factors and 20 items. The factor structure of the scale was determined after a theoretical literature review and peer-debriefing. First and second order confirmatory factor analyses were performed for the construct finalized after peer-debriefing. In the reliability study, internal consistency was examined, and the Cronbach’s alpha was computed as .92. In conclusion, the study results indicated that the scale was a valid and reliable evaluation instrument

    06.03.2018 tarihli ve 30352 sayılı Resmi Gazetede yayımlanan “Yükseköğretim Kanunu İle Bazı Kanun Ve Kanun Hükmünde Kararnamelerde Değişiklik Yapılması Hakkında Kanun” ile 18.06.2018 tarihli “Lisansüstü Tezlerin Elektronik Ortamda Toplanması, Düzenlenmesi ve Erişime Açılmasına İlişkin Yönerge” gereğince tam metin erişime açılmıştır.İnternetteki veri hacimlerinin genişlemesiyle ortaya çıkan büyük veri kavramı, hayatın birçok alanında olduğu gibi tıp dünyasında da adından bahsettirmeye başlamıştır. İçerisinde makine öğrenmesi yöntemlerinin kullanımını da gerektiren büyük veri analitiği, geniş ve karmaşık veri setleri üzerinden faydalı bilginin çıkartılarak karar süreçlerinde kullanımını sağlar. Büyük veri kapsamındaki veri setleri üzerinde makine öğrenme stratejileri uygulamak, işlemci ve hafıza alanı gibi kaynakların yoğun olarak kullanımını gerektirdiği için, pahalı bir süreçtir. Bu nedenle, büyük veri analitiği için özel olarak geliştirilmiş platformlar tasarlanmıştır. Bu tür sistemlerinden biri olan Apache Spark regresyon, sınıflandırma ve kümeleme yapabilen çeşitli makine öğrenmesi algoritmalarını bünyesinde bulundurur ve özellikle gerçek zamanlı veri analitiği konusunda çok güçlüdür. Bu çalışmada, Lojistik Regresyon algoritması kullanılarak EKG verilerinden gerçek zamanlı hastalık tanısı koymayı sağlayan bir sistemin ilk sonuçları sunulmuştur. Elde edilen ilk bulgular Apache Kafka ve Apache Spark ile oluşturulan bu mimarinin, EKG verilerinin gerçek zamanlı olarak işlenmesinde önemli bir tasarım seçeneği olabileceğini göstermiştir.The concept of big data emerging from the expansion of data volumes on the Internet has begun to talk about its name in medicine as well as in many fields of life. Big data analytics, which also require the use of machine learning methods, enable the use of decision-making processes by extracting useful information from large and complex data sets. Implementing machine learning strategies on data sets within big data is an expensive process because it requires extensive use of resources such as CPU and memory. For this reason, platforms specially developed for big data analytics are designed. One of these systems, Apache Spark, has built-in machine learning algorithms ranging from regression to classification and clustering, and is a very powerful engine for real time stream processing. In this study, the first results of a system that provides real-time disease diagnosis from ECG data using Logistic Regression are presented. The first findings obtained show that this architecture, built with Apache Kafka and Apache Spark, can be an important design option in real time processing of ECG data

    Digital citizenship skills among undergraduate students in Malaysia: A preliminary study

    The purpose of the study was to examine level of digital citizenship skills among undergraduate students at the Sultan Idris Education University, Perak, Malaysia. The study focused on three sub-variables of digital citizenship skills; online wellbeing, online learning and online safety. The paper present report from a questionnaire conducted on 1000 students from nine different faculties. Items for each variable were constructed based on literature highlights related to digital citizenship framework and through experts’ validation. A descriptive statistic was used in determined the level of digital citizenship skills among the undergraduate students. The findings of the study showed that the level of digital citizenship skills of students is at a high level. This study expected to help stakeholders to further emphasize the study of digital citizenship and digital citizenship education in Malaysia in more detail

    Predicting the inflation rate in Malaysia using sukuk term structure

    The ability to forecast inflation rate accurately is vital since inflation has a big impact on both society and the country in general. One of the methods used to predict inflation rate is by observing the term structure. There have been many studies done on term structure of conventional bonds but hardly any on sukuk. Therefore, this study aims to test the viability of the term structure of sukuk on predicting the inflation rate in Malaysia, with and without taking into factor term premiums, and compare the predictions with those of the conventional bonds. The results are also compared to a benchmark autoregressive (AR) model of the inflation rate. The monthly interest rate data starting from October 2006 to March 2014 for Malaysian Government Securities (MGS), which is a conventional bond and Government Investment Issues (GII), which is an Islamic bond, were used in this study. Consumer Price Index data from the year 2005 until 2014 were also collected to calculate inflation rates. The one-month interest rate was used to observe the existence of term premium. An autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model was chosen to forecast six-month-ahead inflation rates using MGS and GII data with and without accounting for term premiums. The first part of the analysis revealed that term premiums are nonzero and not constant. Furthermore, forecasting results showed that without considering term premiums, neither MGS nor GII term structure was able to accurately predict the six-month-ahead inflation rate. However, incorporating term premiums into the term structure would result in a better forecast of the inflation rate compared to the benchmark AR model. As such, it is hoped that this will spur more interest in the development of sukuk and Islamic economics in terms of research

    Bu çalışmanın amacı, içinde yaşadığımız yüzyılda teknolojinin hızla gelişmesine bağlı olarak bilgilere ulaşmak kolaylaşmıştır. Bilgiye kolayca ulaşmak, avantajlı olsa da görünmeyen bazı dezavantajları da olmaktadır. Dezavantajlardan biri ise, çoğu insanda Siberhondrik hastalığı görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada bu hastalıktan kaynaklı yanlış araştırma ve yanlış bilgilendirmenin hayatımıza etkisine ve yaşanan olumsuz psikolojik etkilere dikkat çekerek karikatür afişleri gösterimi ile kişileri sosyal sorumluluk kapsamında bilinçlendirmektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda bu çalışma için tasarlanıp çizilen 7 karikatür üzerinden göstergebilimsel yöntem kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Bu analizler, Barthes’in düz anlam ve yan anlam bilgisine göre çözümlenmiştir. Çözümleme ile ulaşılan sonuçlara göre karikatürlerde, Siberhondrik hastalığı yaşayan kişilerin hastalıkla ilgili temel sorunlarından yanlış bilgilendirme, kaygı, insanları yanıltma, psikolojik rahatsızlık ve doktorlara karşı oluşan güvensizlik gibi temalarda yoğunlaştığı görülmektedir. Karikatür, toplumda ki olayları mizahi ve akılda kalıcı şekilde yansıtır. Bu yönüyle güldürürken düşündüren ve bilgilendiren bir sanat olan karikatür, hastalık ile ilgili olan sorunları daha görünür ve etkili hale getirerek çözümün bir parçası olma görevini yerine getirmesi amaçlanmıştır

    Sanayinin gelişmesi ile beraber arazi üzerinde insan etkisinin en fazla olduğu alanlar kentler olmuştur. Kentler yapılar ve yollar ile büyürken yeşil alanlar göz ardı edilmiş bunun sonucunda insanlar doğadan uzaklaşmışlardır. Kentlerde doğal ortamlardan kopan insanlar kentten uzaklaşmak, doğa ile iç içe vakit geçirmek gibi isteklere yönelmiştir. Bu çalışmada Üsküdar’da yer alan Fetihpaşa Korusu kent parkı kullanım işlevleri ve kullanıcıların beklentilerinin belirlenmesi açısından irdelenmiştir. Fetihpaşa Korusu tarihi 1850 yıllarına dayanan bir alan olarak günümüzde kent parkı işlevi görmektedir. Çalışmada arazi gözlemleri yanısıra 384 kişiyle 16 sorudan oluşan anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda kullanıcı memnuniyeti ölçülmüş, alanın daha etkin kullanımına yönelik öneriler geliştirilmiştir.With the development of the industry, cities have been the areas with the greatest human impact on the land. As cities grow with structures and roads, green areas have been ignored, as a result, people have moved away from nature. In the cities, people moving away from the city and spending time in touch with nature so they have turned to requests such as natural environments. In this study, Fetihpasa Grove located in Uskudar has been examined in terms of urban park usage functions and determining the expectations of users. Fetihpasa Grove serves as an urban park today that dating back to 1850. In addition to the area observations, a survey consisting of 16 questions was conducted with 384 people. As a result of the study, user satisfaction was measured and suggestions for more effective use of the area were developed

    Diallel Analysis of Dry Bean Varieties for Seed Yield and Important Traits for Calcareous Soils

    Abstract Five dry beans (Kınalı, Alberto, Great, Göynük and Özmen) were selected for high calcareous soils tolerance and used as parents in a full diallel method in 2019. F1 and its parents were grown in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture of Selcuk University with high lime content in 2020 with three replications. Variations for seed yield and its component maintenance were detected between parents and F hybrids grown on high calcareous soils, and some crosses were found to outperform their parents. Significant general combination ability (GCA) and special combination ability (SCA) were observed for seed yield per plant and components including plant height, pods per plant, seeds per pod, seeds per plant, hundred seed weight, protein ratio and protein yield per plant. While non-additive gene effects were effective in plant height, pod height, number of seeds per pod, seed yield per plant, protein ratio, and protein yield per plant, it was determined that additive gene effects were effective in other investigated traits. Garrafol was had the highest GCA for seed yield. The “Alberto x Kınalı”, “Özmen x G Northern 59”, “G Northern 59 x Özmen”, Özmen x Kınalı”, “Kınalı x Alberto” and “Göynük x Kınalı” crosses exhibited high SCA effects for seed yield per plant. These hybrids are the most promising combination, and it is appropriate to carry out selection processes by evaluating seed yield and yield components together in future generations
