Analysis of The Economic Impacts of Special Event: The Case of Jember Fashion Carnival in Jember City

This study investigated the economic impact a special event in the tourism industry. Jember Fashion Carnival 2015 became the object observed to conduct this study. Jember Fashion Carnival is an annual event from Jember City, but until this time not anyone makes observations to investigate the economic impact of outside tourist that come to Jember City during the time of the event. This study used a semi-structured, self-administered questioner was employed in collecting relevant social and economic data from respondents. A convenience sample of 100 attendees was used to determine the economic impact generated. The Respondents is the tourists who come from outside the city of Jember and attend the Jember Fashion Carnival 2015. The Economic impact assessment based on the amount of spending money from the attendees, with the details information some expenditure categories such as; accommodation, food, entertainment, souvenirs, communication and other types of expenditure. The result supported the claim that the event of Jember Fashion Carnival 2015 has positive economic impact on the host community

Using Social Network Analysis For Analysing The Acceptance of Islamic Mobile Banking In Indonesia

The purpose of the research is to find the positive and negative sentiment influencing the acceptance of Islamic Mobile Banking using Social Network Analysis. The research uses the reviews from Google Store from January 2017 to December 2018 related to the Bank Syariah Mandiri (BSM) and the Bank Muamalat. The total reviews for the research are 4472 (2489 for BSM and 1983 for Bank Muamalat). The result shows the positive sentiment for BSM mobile banking has 1407 nodes and 61537 edges. The positive sentiment of BSM mobile banking correlates with the feature of the transfer feature. For the negative sentiment, BSM mobile banking has 1811 nodes and 46926 edges which is related to an error when the customer checks the balance and transfer money. The positive sentiment of Muamalat mobile banking has 1020 nodes and 30492 nodes which correlate with the ease of use when customers use mobile banking. For the negative sentiment, Muamalat mobile banking has 531 nodes and 13691 edges which correlate with login and registration features

PERBANDINGAN TINGKAT KEHALUSAN FLY ASH TERHADAP DURABILITAS DAN SIFAT MEKANIS HIGH VOLUME FINE FLY ASH-SELF COMPACTING CONCRETE

Construction made from concrete, both conventional concrete and Self Compacting Concrete (SCC), which contact with seawater, often run into decreased durability due to the content of chemical compounds that are harmful for concrete, such as Magnesium Sulfate (MgSO4) and Chloride (Cl). One way to overcome this problem is to use fine fly ash in the concrete mixture. This article discusses the results of an experimental study on the use of fine fly ash in High Volume Fly Ash- Self Compacting Concrete on durability and mechanical properties. Fine fly ash used is processed using the fly ash filtering method with a water filter. The research method is a laboratory experiment by making concrete test objects. Durability tests include Volume of Permeable Voids (VPV) and Rapid Chloride Penetration Test (RCPT), while mechanical properties is concrete compressive strength. The research results showed that using fine fly ash compared to concrete without fly ash or concrete with raw fly ash positively impacted increasing compressive strength, reducing concrete voids, and good resistance to chloride attack at low penetration levels

Integrasi Desa Wisata melalui Optimalisasi Peta Rute Wisata sebagai Konten Pemasaran Pariwisata

Kajian ini menggali potensi daya tarik wisata existing yang terdapat di beberapa desa yang sudah ditetapkan sebagai desa wisata di kawasan Subang Selatan, yaitu Desa Wisata Cibeusi, Desa Wisata Sanca dan Desa Wisata Pasanggrahan. Pengintegrasian desa-desa wisata melaluiperencanaan dan perancangan rute wisata dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai salah satu cara untuk mempromosikan atraksi-atraksi wisata yang tersebar di dalam suatu destinasi wisata. Kajian ini mengonfirmasi titik-titik daya tarik wisata dengan memanfaatkan Global Positioning System (GPS) yang dikombinasikan dengan penggunaan aplikasi terkait Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), yaitu ArcGIS 10.8 dan website Google My Maps, untuk selanjutnya menilai kondisi existing, baik daya tarik wisata, amenitas maupun aksesibilitasnya. Pengumpulandata primer dilakukan dengan melakukan observasi lapangan, wawancara dan verifikasi, sementara pengumpulan data sekunder berupa data riset sebelumnya, kebijakan terkait, maupun data yang tersedia di internet. Analisis yang dilakukan dalam kajian ini adalah analisis deskriptif, analisis kebijakan, analisis penentuan daya tarik potensial menggunakan indikator, dan analisis spasial menggunakan peta. Kajian ini menghasilkan sebuah desain rute wisata optimal dalam rangka pengembangan pariwisata kawasan Subang Selatan berupa pengintegrasian desa-desa wisata di Kecamatan Ciater dan Kecamatan Kasomalang yang juga dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu konten pemasaran pariwisat

ANALISIS PENCEMARAN SUNGAI ROKAN AKIBAT KEGIATAN PABRIK KELAPA SAWIT

The purpose of this study was to prove the pollutants load from palm oil mill wastewater. The research location is in the Rokan River watershed through the Teluk Mega Village and Sidinginan Village, Tanah Putih District, Rokan Hilir Regency. Data collection was conducted during 2017-2018. The effect of wastewater on rivers is analyzed using the Mathematical model calculation method with the dispersion-affection model. Calculation of water pollution due to excess quality standards using parameters of wastewater refers to Regulation of Environmental Ministry of Indonesia Government No. 7/2014. The results of the analysis show the amount of water pollutant load during June 2017 - August 2018. For the COD parameter of 13,380 kg or 268 units, for the TSS parameter of 711 kg or 14 units. For oil and grase do not cause pollution load in the Rokan River

Understanding of the hadith, marriage age and the Islamic law: Study of Regent’s Regulations in Bojonegoro, East Java

The prevalence of early marriage in Bojonegoro has led to the implementation of Regent’s Regulation Number 19 of 2023, which aims to provide incentives for prospective brides. Bojonegoro Regency is positioned as the 9th highest in terms of marriage dispensation cases in East Java Province. Hence, this study seeks to determine the efficacy of implementing the regent's laws in relation to the principles of legal effectiveness and the field of ma'anil hadith. This study employs empirical legal research methodology to assess the restrictions set by the regent, utilizing the theory of legal efficacy. Additionally, it utilizes the theory of ma'anail hadith science to provide a comprehensive knowledge of the hadith. The findings of this study establish that the restrictions implemented by the regent are deemed effective in terms of legal compliance, law enforcement, provision of facilities, societal impacts, and cultural aspects. The comprehension of the hadith concerning the Prophet PBUH marriage to Sayyidah 'Aisyah ra does not contradict the laws and regulations set by the Bojonegoro regent in establishing the age restriction for marriage that qualifies for incentives for both the bride and groom. Other hadiths elucidate the prerequisites for marriage, namely pertaining to religious, physical, financial, and social development. This research highlights the importance for other regional governments to implement policies similar to those implemented by the Regent of Bojonegoro. These policies have been demonstrated to be beneficial and in accordance with Islamic law in reducing the prevalence of early weddings, which have detrimental effects on the couples involved

Serum Biochemical Indices Of Rabbit Doe Fed Biscuit Diets Containing Moringa Oleifera Lamm Based On Urban Organic Waste

The aim of this study was to determine the serum indices of rabbit doe fed biscuit diets containing Moringa oleifera lamm based on    urban organic waste. A total of 25 rabbits doe were used divided into 5 groups based on body weight with 5 treatments in each group. T0 was the control diet while T2, T4, T6, and T8 received additional 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8% moringa leaf meal, respectively. The treatment was given during pregnancy until the kit was 21 days old. Blood samples collected from rabbits does on the last day of study and evaluated for serum biochemical indices, data obtained were analysed statistically. The variables observed were cholesterol, glucose, total protein, albumin, globulin, creatinine, and urea. The results showed that cholesterol, total protein and albumin in the blood serum of rabbit doe were significantly different (P<0.05) while glucose, globulin, creatinine, and urea were similar (P>0.05) between the groups. Giving Moringa leaf meal up to 8% in biscuit diet was able to reduce cholesterol content in the blood from 75.10 mg/dl to 58.20 mg/dl. Total protein in blood serum increased from 6.94 g/dl to 8.24 g/dl. This increase in total protein seems to be influenced by a significant increase in albumin from 4.08 g/dl to 5.58 g/dl. Design and Development of a Portable Metal Chip Baler using A System Design Approach

A large amount of metal chips at workplace will result in untidy and unsafe condition thus measurements of safety are needed in some industries, where the metal chips will be collected and put into a container until the volume is sufficient to be recycled. Due to that reason, the metal chips require a lot of spaces for storage before going to recycle. In this study, a portable metal chip baler as a device for compacting those metal chips is presented based on a system approach of engineering design. Basically, the system design evolves through four phases of development that are started from conceptual design, preliminary system design, detail design and development to system test and evaluation. The portable metal chip baler uses current technology such as pneumatic cylinder to compress the metal chips so that the system capable to operate efficiently. The output from this system is the metal chips are compacted into a block shape and a working prototype was developed to prove the concept of the system. As a summary, the conceptual design of portable metal chip baler was proven and was presented using the philosophy of the systems design approach. This tool may assists workers especially in the Small-Medium Enterprise (SME) manufacturing industries, school or universities’ workshops for managing metal chips easily and systematically
