In this article we will describe the case of adult blood phobia, who after a traumatic experience during very risky birth giving (with previous placenta), with cardiopulmonary arrest in the operating room, developed a specific blood phobia with panic attacks. Five years after the traumatic experience, the patient was treated in our consultancy during one two hours session with EMDR. The result were immediately, because when the patient came home after the session, she had to help a worker to take out a nail he had hammered in his hand, without suffering any of the anxiety symptoms she always had before.

An instrument was applied to 243 people, using the AMOS PASS software, in which the indicators of human capital and business development were considered, according to the hypothesis, the relationships found between the variances of the constructs indicate that there is a significant statistical value that relates to these constructs. In the results it was found that some of the variables were: the consideration of belonging to the company, the perception of how the company sees them based on knowledge, and, the recognition that it is the human capital increased by the company, demonstrating that it recognizes this value as a manager of business development. Sugar Content and Sources in Commercial Infant Cereals in Spain

Instant infant cereals reconstituted with infant formula are the first complementary food for most Spanish infants. The main aim is to provide information on sugars in the formulation of infant cereals. Product information was collected from department stores, supermarkets, and pharmacies and completed with data from brand websites. A portion of the samples was selected for total sugars determination using the HPLC and Luff-Schoorl methods. The information regarding a total of 120 milk-free instant infant cereals marketed in Spain from 12 companies was summarized. The mean of total sugars was 23 +/- 9 g/100 g (25-42%), providing 24% of the calories. Most of porridges are prepared with partially hydrolyzed flours providing free sugars (glucose and maltose). The most commonly added sugar is sucrose. A total of 43.3% of products contain added sucrose, and 16.7% contain fruits. Infant cereals analyzed with added sugars can have a sugar content similar to that found in products without added sugars. Consistent differences were found in sugars content between assayed methods and this label information. Although the European legislation of infant cereals establishes values for added sugars, the labeling reflects the content of total sugars, but not that of added sugars

In this work we present two methods for the analysis of moire deflectograms. The first method is a Fourier-transform technique. The second method uses a regularization based method. Both methods are applied to realistic deflectograms and their performances are discussed

Effect of climate and insemination technique on reproductive performance of gilts and sows in a subtropical zone of Mexico

The objective of this study was to analyse the reproductive performance of hybrid (Yorkshire x Landrace) gilts/sows in relation to temperature-humidity index (THI) at artificial insemination (AI), season of AI, occurrence of estrus >8 d post-weaning, repeated estrus, insemination technique (cervical, CAI or post-cervical, PCAI) and parity. Data included 8851 reproductive records (1771 for gilts and 7080 for sows) from a pig farm in a sub-tropical zone (THI ranged from 72.9 in January to 81.8 in June). A decrease in pregnancy rate (PR, 89.8 vs 93.0%; P<0.01) and a tendency to decline farrowing rate (FR, 87.9 vs 90.3%; P=0.07) following AI during high THI (>82), compared to AI at <74 THI were observed. The spring and summer season were associated with decreased (P<0.01) PR compared with fall and winter (90.0% vs 93.0%). Likewise, FR decreased in spring and summer compared to fall and winter (88.5% vs. 90.9%). FR was higher (P<0.01) in non-repeat breeders compared with that of repeat-breeders (90.3% vs 76.2%). Litter size increased (P<0.01) from 10.8 ± 3.2 to 11.1 ± 3.1 pigs when the interval from weaning to estrus was >8 d. The insemination technique did not affect PR and FR but the litter size decreased (P<0.05) from 11.3 ± 3.0 to 11.1 ± 2.9 pigs when PCAI was used compared to CAI. This study reaffirms the negative effects of the hot season on reproductive performance of gilts/sows, although thermal stress at AI did not cause foetal losses. Also, there is no advantage in using the PCAI as compared to the CAI in gilts/sows with high numbers of sperm cells per AI
