    ABSTRACT: Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang kemungkinan penggunaan panci penyalutan (konvensional) untuk pembuatan tablet salut film, setelah dilakukan modifikasi pada bagian da/am panci disesuaikan dengan yang ada pada coater. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan panci penyalutan untuk pembuatan tablet salut film secara cepat. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mempergunakan pharmacoat-606 sebagai bahan penyalut dalam etanol dan dilakukan dengan menyemburkan larutan tersebut setelah penambahan zat warns, sementara itu penyedotan uap pelarut dan pemanasan ruangan panci dilakukan. Setelah pembuatan tablet salut dianggap selesai (warn homogenl, dilakukan uji fisfic terhadap tablet yang didapat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkin bahwa panci penyalut konvensional dapat dipergunakan untuk pembuatan tablet salut film dengan diadakan atau tidak modifikasi pada bagian dalamnya dan tablet salut film yang dihasilkan relatif mempunyai sifat-sifat fisika yang sama.     Introduction: Hospital is one of the important links in the service delivery system to the community so that the hospital is expected to provide information to support the provision of timely and accurate services. To improve the quality of hospital services, an up to date information system is needed. The user satisfaction on information system can be used to evaluate the quality of an organization's information system. Objective: to evaluate the quality of the pharmacy management information system (PMIS) at Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital (SAIH), Semarang, and determine the priority of area for improvements.Methods: In this cross-sectional qualititative study, the responses of all employees to questionnaire were obtained; these employees worked at the pharmacy of Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital in Semarang. The PIECES method was applied. The data analysis included gap and customer windowResults: The gap value on the dimension of performance, information, economic, control, efficiency, service was -1.10, -0.82, -0.28, -0.22, 0.01, -0.62, respectivelyConclusion: The user’s unfulfilled expectation on PMIS at SAIH including dimensions of performance, information, economy, control, service, and efficiency. Priority areas for quality improvement of PMIS at the Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital’s phamacy included the menu display, system responsiveness, the completeness of the system, no error occurs, the alert system of the drug stock, the responsiveness of the IT department to the problem of PIMS use

    PENGARUH KONSENTRASI XANTHAN GUM TERHADAP STABILITAS FISIK KRIM VIRGIN COCONUT OIL (VCO)

    Abstract: Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is a pure oils that is extracted from fresh coconut meat at low temperatures. The formulation of VCO in cream dosage form could retain skin moisture and improve the acceptability. Xanthan gum is one of the emulsifier that used to form oil in water (O/W) cream. The purpose of this research were to determine the effect of xanthan gum concentration to the physical stability of VCO cream. VCO creams were prepared by emulsifying the oil phase and the water phase with the variation of xanthan gum concentration (2.5; 2.7; 2.9; 3.1; 3.3% w/w). Observation of the physical stability of the cream includes organoleptic, emulsion type, droplets size, viscosity, spreadability, adhesion, and ratio of separation volume was conducted until 7th week, and also the freeze-thaw test for three cycles. The results showed that each formulation could produces homogeneous light brown cream with oil in water type. Increasing of xanthan gum concentration would increases viscosity of the cream so that spreadability decreases and adhesion increases during stability study. Ratio of separation volume increased after three cycles of freeze-thaw test. Cream with 3.3% w/w xanthan gum had the optimum physical stability.Keywords : VCO, O/W cream, xanthan gum, physical stabilit

    Liposomes in topical drug delivery preparation is developed because having a good penetration through the skin. The lecithin which is often used in liposome formulations is soy lecithin. Heating and sonication methods can be done to reduce the size of the particles. This study aims to produce nanoliposom dosage formulations of soy lecithin phospholipids by using a combination of heating and sonication methods to generate liposomes with size 150nm . The methods of nanoliposomes preparation in this study using a combination of heating 60?C and sonication methods for about 30 minutes in the manufacturing process . The results showed that the preparation of nanoliposomes formulation from soy lecithin can be done by using a combination of heating 60?C and sonication methods for about 30 minutes

    Balai POM of Jambi is obliged to act professional and improve the organization’s performance in order to serve the society. Learning and growth perspective is set to get outcome advantage for other third perspective Balanced Scorecard. The purpose of this research was to evaluate learning and growth perspective in Balai POM Jambi, while also determining facilitating and obstructing factors in this perspective. The research was conducted in descriptive method with qualitative and quantitative data gathered from secondary data provided by Balai POM Jambi in 2015 to 2016. Data was gathered using questionnaire and interview. Qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis were performed by comparing target performance with real achieved performance for each indicators then referring to the standard. Interviews was conducted to determine facilitating and obstructing factors in achieving the best performance. The result of this study in performance learning and growth perspective for human capital result is good; organizational capital results is moderate; informational capital results is moderate. Facilitating factors learning ang growth perspective of Balai POM Jambi were budget plan, competency staff, organizational capital, implementation management information system, implementation QMS, guidance, reward and punishment. Obstructing factors were limitation in human resources and facilities. In general term, performance learning and growth perspective need to be improved, by improving leadership and facilities in Balai POM Jambi

    Physical Characterization and Dissolution Study of Pentagamavunon-0 Loaded Self Nano-Emulsifying Drug Delivery System

    The recent work focuses on the physical characterization and dissolution study of PGV-0 loaded self-nanoemulsifying drug delivery system (SNEDDS). The PGV-0 SNEDDS was prepared by spontaneous emulsification method using oleic acid, tween 20:labrasol (1:1) and polyethylene  glycol  400. The zeta potential of the PGV-0 SNEDDS was   -34.4 ± 7.66 mv. The nanoemulsion of PGV-0 SNEDDS was thermodynamically stable with forming droplet oil containing PGV-0 in it and spherical. The dissolution result showed that the PGV-0 SNEDDS was able to increase the dissolution significantly (p <0.05) compared with PGV-0 powder of 44.13% in AGF medium and 30.37% in AIF medium. It is concluded that SNEDDS PGV-0 was able to increase the PGV-0 aqueous solubility

    ABSTRAK Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pengaruh kadar brit 78 terhadap sifat reologi larutan yang diperoleh dari campuran termer air-parafin cair-brij 78. Pencampuran ketiga komponen dilakukan dengan dua cara yang berbeda sebagai cara A dan cara B. Kepada larutan cara A yang dihaailkan dilakukan uji viskosimetri dengan mempergunakan viskosimeter tipe rotahf, dan kepada laruatan cara B dengan mempergunakan viskosimeter tipe oswalt. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa balk dengan cara A maupun cara B dapat diperoleh bentuk solubilisasi pada kadar brit 78 sampai sebanyak 20%, dan terjadi perubahan sifat alir dari tipe newton menjadi non-newton pada kadar 13-15% bnj 78. The mixing of those components was done by two dgerent methods called A-method and B-method. Viscosimetric study with rotative viscosimeter type was done to the solutions A-method and oswalt viscosimeter type to solutions B-method. The result indicated that both A and B methods can be used to obtain solubilizat ion forms with brij 78 concentration up to 20% and there is a change of rheologic property from newtonian to non-newtonian type at the brij 78 concentration of 1315% â¢Keywords : Sol ubilization, brit 78, rheology.     Determination Of Alkaloid Content Of Ethanolic Extract Of Hibiscus Rosa-sinensis L. Flower

    Kembang sepatu flower (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L.) was fractionally used as expectorant. Based on Bioassay Guided fractionation, an active fraction was separated, and the fraction was identified is Alkaloid was the major compound based on TLC analysis. Viscosity value measured by viscometer was used as a Bioassay model of expectorant activity in vitro and asetyl cysteine was used as positive control. Alkaloid content determination of the ethanolic extract was measured by TLC-Densitometric compared with standard curve of isolated alkaloid as the selected marker (Y=12.1360X+2901.4474). The alkaloid content in the ethanolic extract was determined as 2.35 ± 0.67 %
