¿Cómo influye e estilo de liderzago de el fundador de una empresa familiar en el diseño del plan de sucesión en mercador emergentes?.

This document has the purpose to establish the leadership characteristics that must assume the founder of a family business to develop a succession plan. A qualitative research shows the different leadership styles of the founder and the most feasible to establish a succession plan in emerging markets. Additionally, this document presents three Ecuadorian Companies studied cases to find the best leadership style for this kind of market: a case of company that presents an effective leadership succession plan, a case of a company that presented a negative leadership, and a case of a company close to the succession process.El presente trabajo de investigación, tiene como principal objetivo establecer las características de liderazgo que debe asumir el fundador de una empresa familiar para formular un plan de sucesión. Mediante una investigación cualitativa, se evidenciará los diferentes estilos de liderazgo del fundador y cuáles son los más adecuados para el establecimiento de un plan de sucesión en mercados emergentes. Find a flight for me, Oscar! Motivational customer experiences with chatbots.

Purpose. Drawing on the self-determination theory, the assemblage theory, and customer experience literature, we aim to develop a framework to understand motivational customer experiences with chatbots. Design/methodology/approach. We employ a multimethod approach to examine the interaction between individuals and airlines’ chatbots. Three components of self-determined interaction with the chatbot (competence, autonomy, and relatedness) and five components of the customer–chatbot experience (sensory, intellectual, affective, behavioral, and social) are analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Findings. The findings confirm the direct influence of self-determined interaction on customer experience and the direct effects of these two constructs on participants’ attitudes toward and satisfaction with the chatbot. The model also supports the mediating roles of customer experience and attitude toward the chatbot. Practical Implications. We offer managers a broad understanding of individuals’ interactions with chatbots through three elements: motivation to use chatbots, experiential responses, and individuals’ valuation of whether the interactions have amplified (or limited) the outcomes obtained from the experience. Originality/value. Guía Metodológica para la Gestión de Proyectos Pequeños en el Departamento de Planillas de Recursos Humanos de un Centro de Servicios

Área Académica de Gerencia de Proyectos, 2013.The Payroll Department joined a Global Service Center becoming responsible for processes from 10 countries within the Americas. The interrelated critical processes were handled independently, not only generating ineffective and inefficient services, but communication gaps as well. Applied Research was done in four phases: Phase 1, the project management capabilities were exposed. In Phase 2, the set of critical processes to be addressed with a focus on small projects were identified. For Phase 3, a methodological guide was created to carry out the projects based on the PMBOK ® and PRINCE2 ™. Finally in Phase 4, an implementation plan was defined for the proposed guide. The capabilities analysis, in Project Management, shows that the department leaders have the most hours of approved courses in a year and Payroll has led 35 projects. 17 critical processes were identified to be addressed with six small projects using the proposed methodological guide that promotes a culture of standardization and proactive behavior. The solution can be extended to other regions of Asia and Europe. It is recommended to start with a pilot program that incorporates an individual in charge of performing direct observations; this would facilitate the identification of waste on areas for improvement based on Lean culture

"Pues para ello les quedaba livertad": Comercio e interdependencia en las fronteras meridionales del Imperio español (segunda mitad del siglo XVIII)

En la historiografía argentina acerca de las relaciones fronterizas en Pampa, Nordpatagonia y Araucanía se ha repetido, abierta o implícitamente, la idea de que los grupos nativos mantuvieron una relación de dependencia económica respecto de los hispano-criollos, de modo que la adquisición de ciertos productos de manos de los españoles se habría tornado imprescindible para su supervivencia. En este trabajo y concentrándonos en la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII, nos proponemos mostrar que ese no siempre fue el caso, sino que en un contexto no privado de conflicto los españoles en ocasiones dependieron de los indígenas para su mantenimiento, o llegaron a intercambiar con ellos productos primarios por otros elaborados, contrariamente a lo postulado por aquella perspectiva de la dependencia nativa.Fil: Alioto, Sebastián Leandro. Sistema inteligente de prescripción de riego agrícola basado en redes de sensores y modelado de cultivos

The intelligent management of water in agriculture through emerging technologies is essential to increase crop yields, reduce production costs and contribute to environmental sustainability. The aim of this research work was to implement an intelligent agricultural irrigation prescription system. Nodes for the acquisition and wireless transmission of data on soil matric potential up to four depths, canopy temperature, environmental temperature and relative humidity were implemented. The inference system was implemented in a central station that receives data from the field, where the irrigation prescription is determined. The validation of results was carried out using the AquaCrop crop modeling software. The developed system allowed determining daily water prescriptions according to soil type and crop phenology, to avoid excesses and deficiencies in the application.La gestión inteligente del agua en agricultura mediante el uso de las tecnologías emergentes es esencial para aumentar el rendimiento de los cultivos, disminuir costos de producción y contribuir a la sostenibilidad ambiental. El propósito de este trabajo de investigación fue el de implementar un sistema inteligente de prescripción de riego agrícola. Se implementaron nodos de adquisición y transmisión inalámbrica de datos de potencial matricial del suelo hasta cuatro profundidades, temperatura de la cobertura vegetal, temperatura ambiente y humedad relativa. El sistema de inferencia fue implementado en una estación central que recibe los datos en campo, en donde se determina la prescripción de riego.  La validación de los resultados se realizó usando el software de modelamiento de cultivos AquaCrop. El sistema desarrollado permitió determinar prescripciones de agua diarias según el tipo de suelo y el estado fenológico del cultivo, con el propósito de evitar excesos y deficiencias en la aplicación
