AbstractMultilinear generatings functions for the polynomials ∑r=0nnr(a;q)r(b;q)n−rXr are derived which on specialization yield the Poisson kernel and multilinear generating functions for the orthogonal polynomials like continuous q-Ultraspherical, Al-Salam-Chihara, q-Random Walk, etc

Facility Planning and Associated Problems: A Survey

    Get PDF
In this study, we have classified and reviewed different types of problems which are related to facility planning and layout design for different types of manufacturing processes. The main problems which are related to location of  facilities which also affects the system performance  such as distribution of man, material and machine in a plant or a factory and their optimization technique while using of mathematical models, their solutions and application related to whole problems is presented. For solving this type of problems, intelligent techniques such as expert systems, fuzzy logic and neutral networks have been used. In this paper the recent analysis on facility layout is incorporated and facility layout problem is surveyed. Many intelligent techniques and conventional algorithms for solving FLP are presented. In our discussion different research direction, general remarks and tendencies have been mentioned Keywords—Facility Planning, Material handling Optimization metho

INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR FACULTY AND STUDENTS

    Get PDF
Information Management System for Faculty and Students is a system developed using PHP that provides a number of operations such as uploading, editing, deleting etc. The users of the system will be the college staff (including the admin, HOD and examiner) and students. Information Management System deals with all kind of student details, academic related reports, college details, course details, curriculum, batch details, placement details, assignment list, syllabus, lesson plans, test papers and experiment lists. It tracks all the details of a student from the day one to the end of the course which can be used for reporting purpose, tracking of attendance, progress in the course, completed semesters, years, final exam result and all these will be available through a secure, online interface embedded in the college’s website. It will also have faculty details, batch execution details, students’ details, the various academic notifications to the staff and students updated by the college administration. It also allows them to explore all the activities happening in the college. This program accelerates reaction time and improves accuracy. The objective of our project is to develop an application which will automate the process of managing all the details required for all the educational institutes. Puerperal Tetanus in Water Buffalo - A Case Report

    Get PDF
Abstract: Reports of tetanus in buffaloes are scanty in comparison to cattle, horse, sheep and goat. A six years old Murrah buffalo, five days post-partum, was presented for treatment with a history of manual removal of retained placenta. Prolapse of third eyelid, complete locking of jaw, development of curve in spine, erection of ear and typical "pump-handle" position of tail were visible signs. Diagnosis was established on the basis of case history and clinical signs. Treatment was carried out with irrigation of genital tract with 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide and administration of hypertonic saline solution (7.5%), dextrose normal saline (5%), penicillin G procaine in high dose, ketoprofen and chlorpromazine. The animal fell like a stiff, wooden structure on day 11 of the onset of the disease and succumbed to its illness

A new derivative of midimew-connected mesh network

    Get PDF
In this paper, we present a derivative of Midimew connected Mesh Network (MMN) by reassigning the free links for higher level interconnection for the optimum performance of the MMN; called Derived MMN (DMMN). We present the architecture of DMMN, addressing of nodes, routing of message and evaluate the static network performance. It is shown that the proposed DMMN possesses several attractive features, including constant degree, small diameter, low cost, small average distance, moderate bisection width, and same fault tolerant performance than that of other conventional and hierarchical interconnection networks. With the same node degree, arc connectivity, bisection width, and wiring complexity, the average distance of the DMMN is lower than that of other networks

Chronic Lung inflammation in victims of toxic gas leak at Bhopal

    Get PDF
Bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) studies in 20 patients at Bhopal. 1.3 ± 0.4 yr and 2.7 ± 0.6 yr after toxic gas exposure had revealed that the lower respiratory tract inflammation had progressed from initial macrophage alveolitis to macrophage-neutrophilic alveolitis. The interval between the two lavages was 1.4 ± 0.6 yr. BAL studies in a new group of 14 patients 5.1 ± 1.0 yr after exposure had confirmed chronic inflammation of the lower respiratory tract as evidenced by macrophage-neutrophilic alveolitis in these subjects as well. Clinical. radiographic and pulmonary function abnormalities were persistent in a proportion of subjects in both groups. Fibronectin (FN) levels were estimated in BAL fluid in 41 patients. Elevated FN levels were seen in 12 (29.3%) subjects and nine of these 12 had radiographic abnormalities. Severely exposed subjects (n=30) had significantly higher BAL fibronectin levels compared to normal subjects and mild/moderately exposed subjects. Repeat FN estimations in BAL samples from 10 patients had revealed that five had abnormally high FN including three who had high FN on both occasions. The number of patients showing abnormal decline in pulmonary function was higher in patients with elevated FN than in patients with normal FN. Thus, persisting clinical, roentgenographic and ventilatory abnormalities, as well as macrophageneutrophilic alveolitis alon g with abnormally elevated FN levels in a proportion of subjects, suggest the possibility that lung fibrosis can occur in subjects exposed to toxic gas at Bhopal
