    This study aims to determine the effect of learning model Conceptual Understanding Procedures LKPD assisted on the ability of solving physics problems of high school students. This research is a quasi experimental research using untreated control group design with pretest and posttest. The population is all students of class XI IPA SMAN 4 Mataram. While the sampling using purposive sampling technique consisting of students class XI IPA 4 as experimental class and students of class XI IPA 1 as a control class. The problem solving capability data is obtained through a written test in the form of a description item. The result of hypothesis test analysis shows that there is influence of learning model of LKPD-assisted Conceptual Understanding Procedures toward the ability of problem solving physics

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan validitas perangkat pembelajaran fisika  berbasis model discovery dengan pendekatan konflik kognitif. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Prosedur penelitian pengembangan yang dilakukan dalam pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran fisika model discovery dengan pendekatan konflik kognitif mengacu pada langkah-langkah pengembangan 4D yaitu define, design, develop dan disseminate. Perangkat pembelajaran fisika berbasis model discovery dengan pendekatan konflik kognitif yang dikembangkan terdiri dari silabus, RPP, LKPD, handout, dan instrumen evaluasi. Jurnal ini hanya fokus pada validitas isi dan kontruk yang divalidasi oleh ahli. Berdasarkan hasil analisis validitas menggunakan indeks Aiken dan analisis reliabilitas menggunakan percentage agreement didapatkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran fisika berbasis model discovery dengan pendekatan konflik kognitif yang dikembangkan memiliki kriteria valid dan reliabel

    DEVELOPMENT OF MOLECULAR IMPRINTED POLYMER SOLID PHASE EXTRACTION (MISPE) FOR SEPARATION NITROFURANTOIN RESIDUE IN CHICKEN EGGS

    Background: The use of nitrofurantoin and other nitrofuran antibiotics in food which produced from animals is prohibited by European Union because of potentially carcinogenic and mutagenic. Various methods for analysis of residues of nitrofurantoin has been developed, but because of the interference of the matrix, it is necessary to separate the matrix therefore, the matrix effect will not interfere the analysis. Nowadays, molecular imprinted polymer (MIP) is a well-developed tool in the analytical field, mainly for separating substances in relatively complex matrices.Objective: The purpose of this study is to obtain MISPE that is selective for the separation of nitrofurantoin residues in chicken eggs.Methods: Analytical methods development of nitrofurantoin were optimization of HPLC system and validation of analytical methods performed to obtain the suitable system for nitrofurantoin detection. In silico study used for MIP design by observing the difference Gibbs free energy using Gaussview 5.08 software with Density Functional Theory (DFT) methods using 6-311G as basis set. MIP synthesis was done using bulk method use nitrofurantoin as template, acrylamide as functional monomer, ethyleneglycoldimethacrylate (EGDMA) as crosslinker, and azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as an initiator reaction inside dimethylformamide (DMF) as solvent. Non imprinted polymer (NIP) was synthesized as comparison. MIP and NIP which has been synthesized was inserted into SPE cartridge and characterized using Infrared spectroscopy and HPLC.Result: MISPE that has been synthesized was characterized and compared to non-imprinted polymer solid phase extraction (NISPE) and marketed Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) C18. Sensitivity of MIP, NIP, and SPE C-18 to nitrofurantoin was 84.54 %, 37.73 %, and 33.95 % respectively, based on recovery of nitrofurantoin.Conclusion: Based on the result it was obtained MISPE has high selectivity toward nitrofurantoin compared to NISPE and either marketed SPE. Â

    Abstrak: Integritas adalah tingkat kejujuran dan kualitas moral yang dimiliki seseorang yang dilaksanakan secara konsisten dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Integritas adalah kepribadian seseorang yang bertindak secara konsisten dan utuh, baik dalam perkataan maupun perbuatan, sesuai dengan nilai dan kode etik. Upaya penegakan dedikasi dan integritas kepala sekolah dan guru penting dilakukan untuk mempersiapkan generasi Indonesia menghadapi jamannya dengan terus mengupdate kompetensinya untuk memberikan layanan pendidikan terbaik. Debat moral digunakan sebagai pendekatan dalam meningkatkan integritas kepala sekolah. Berbagai hal terkait pendidikan dapat dijadikan topik dalam debat moral kepala sekolah. Semua topik tersebut harus tetap berada dalam koridor kebangsaan Indonesia. Nilai-nilai kebangsaan merupakan hal utama untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan sekolah melalui kepemimpinan kepala sekolah.     EFFECT OF ANCHOVY (STOLEPHORUS SP.) APPLICATION ON RAT ENAMEL MICROHARDNESS AND APATITE CRYSTAL SIZE: AN IN-VIVO STUDY

    ABSTRACTObjectives: The study aimed to investigate the in-vivo effect on the enamel microhardness, apatite crystal changes, and fluorapatite formation afterapplying acidic anchovy solution on rat teeth.Methods: A total of 16 Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into four groups including the untreated baseline group, demineralized distilled water(control) group, positive control (sodium fluoride) group, and anchovy treatment group. Anchovies were heated, powdered, and diluted withdemineralized water to a 5% solution. The test and control solutions were applied to rat mandibular incisors twice daily for 7 days. After exposure, theteeth were subjected to microhardness testing, scanning electron microscopy, and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy analysis to examine enamelsurface and fluoride retention, and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis on fluorapatite formation and changes in apatite crystal size.Results: Anchovy treated specimens showed increase in enamel microhardness to 390±29 Vickers hardness number, decrease in apatite crystal sizeto 19.14±1.24 nm, higher fluoride retention on enamel (5.88±0.32%), reduction of crystal size, and increase in fluoride retention correlated withincrease of enamel surface microhardness. Fluorapatite formation was demonstrated by the increased peaks at 2θ=32.67° and 33.87° in XRD analysis.Conclusion: In-vivo application of anchovy solution on rat enamel surface increased enamel surface microhardness and promoted fluorapatiteformation. The applied anchovy solution appears to show a clear beneficial effect as a topical fluoride agent.Keywords: Caries, Apatite, Anchovy, Calcium fluoride, Fluorapatite

    This paper studies the accuracy of the Black-Scholes (BS) model and the dilution-adjusted Black-Scholes (DABS) model to pricing some warrants traded in the Malaysian market. Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) are used to compare the two models. Results show that the DABS model is more accurate than the BS model for the selected data

    Creating Added Value for Urban Transit in Developing Country: A Case Study of Transit-Oriented Development Project

    Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) is an approach of regional development in which there is a concept of integration between land, transportation, environment, and use. However, as a new idea in Indonesia, the development of TOD cannot be found yet. the TOD project for Jakarta LRT is the first idea for TOD implementation in Indonesia. From the results of the initial evaluation, it was found that the prepared TOD design of Jakarta LRT still refers to the development of conventional apartment buildings. The implication of this practice is that the benefits of TOD are not utilized, and regional development will not be in line with expectations. This research aims to improve the function of the project while fulfilling the characteristics of TOD by producing alternative designs that have added value. To achieve this goal, Value Engineering studies are used as the methods. After the benchmarking with case studies are done, the process of developing the existing TOD design is then carried out. As a result, the design of the conceptual development of TOD for Jakarta LRT is proposed as an alternative to the conventional property development, in which the benefits of TOD implementation can be obtained

    Financial view and profitability evaluation on multistate weighted k-out-of-n:F system reliability

    A financial view is proposed for reliability evaluation of multi-state weighted k-out-of-n:F systems. Failure cost as the cost which is imposed on the components by failures is used to denote the importance weight of each component. The deterioration process of components over time is modelled by Markov chain. System failure behaviour is formulated by Universal Generating Function (UGF). Furthermore, the present value of system failure is calculated by considering time value of money. As a result, the system reliability is demonstrated as cost which is more sensible for managers. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the proposed approach. After that, a way is suggested to transform the system cost present value into system reliability value. MATLAB programming is developed to make a sensitivity analysis on example results. Therefore, the impact of maintenance activities is investigated to show how they can reduce system cost through improving the system reliability. Copyright © 2014 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd

    Data-driven system reliability and failure behavior modelling using FMECA

    System reliability modelling needs a large amount of data to estimate the parameters. In addition, reliability estimation is associated with uncertainty. This paper aims to propose a new method to evaluate the failure behavior and reliability of a large system using failure modes, effects and criticality analysis (FMECA). Therefore, qualitative data based on the judgment of experts is used when data is not sufficient. The subjective data of failure modes and causes has been aggregated through the system to develop an overall failure index (OFI). This index not only represents the system reliability behavior but also prioritizes corrective actions based on improvements in system failure. In addition, two optimization models are presented to select optimal actions subject to budget constraint. The associated costs of each corrective action are considered in risk evaluation. Finally, a case study of a manufacturing line is introduced to verify the applicability of the proposed method in industrial environments. The proposed method is compared with conventional FMECA approach. It is shown that the proposed method has a better performance in risk assessment.     Investigation of lower limb’s muscles activity during performance of salat between two age groups

    Muscles play an important role in the movement of limbs.They undergo contraction to straighten or to bend a joint for the limbs to move.There are many factors that can affect muscle activity. Age could be one of the possible factors affecting muscle activity.The purpose of this study was to investigate the lower limb’s muscles activity during performance ofsalat between two age groups. The lower limb ’s muscles investigated were (GAS), Biceps Femoris (BF), Tibialis Anterior (TA) and Femoris (RF). The postures involve are standing, bowing, prostrating and sitting. The electromyography (EMG) signals of the muscles were measured using the technique of surface EMG (sEMG). The signals were acquired by using Delsys Bagnoli™ Desktop sEMG system and EMGworks®. Ten healthy subjects from two age groups were recruited in this study. The first group consists of five males aged between 20 to 29 while the second group consists of five males aged above 40. The raw EMG signals acquired were analyzed and the EMG envelopes were developed using MATLAB. The averaged RMS values of EMG for each muscle were also calculated. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) of the EMGs was obtained by using F-test.Further investigation of the variance was performed by using Tukey comparison. From the results, the most active muscle during the performance of salat is BF while the less active muscle is GAS for both age groups .The statistical result show that there is no difference in the muscle activity pattern between the two age groups but there is significant difference among the muscles investigate
