Typology on Leadership toward Creativity in Virtual Work
Aim/Purpose: This study aims to develop a descriptive typology to better identify leadership toward creativity in virtual work in different types of companies.
Background: The study empirically explores how leadership toward creativity occurs in virtual work and uses the theoretical lenses of creativity-conducive leadership and heterarchy to generate a typology.
Methodology : A multiple qualitative case study design, interpretivist approach, and abductive analysis are applied. Data is collected by interviewing 21 leaders and employees face-to-face in four companies in the ICT sector and one business advisor company.
Contribution: The empirical evidence of this study enriches the understanding of leadership toward creativity in virtual work and contributes to the limited empirical knowledge on leadership that stimulates a virtual workforce to achieve creativity.
Findings: The four different types of companies in the typology utilize various transitions toward leadership creativity in virtual work. The trend in leadership in the existing virtually networked business environment is toward the “collective mind” company, which is characterized by shared values, meaningful work, collective intelligence, conscious reflection, transparency, coaching, empowering leadership by example, effective multichannel interaction, and assertiveness. The findings empirically support applying a heterarchy perspective to lead a virtual workforce toward creativity and promote leaders who are genuinely interested in people, their development, collaboration, and technology.
Recommendations for Practitioners: The typology helps professionals realize the need to develop leadership, communication, interaction, learning, and growth to foster creative interaction and improve productivity and competitiveness.
Recommendation for Researchers: This study enables researchers to more rigorously and creatively conceptualize the conditions and relationships in leadership that facilitate creativity in virtual work.
Impact on Society : The findings highlight humanistic values for developing leadership. The study strengthens the view that collective creativity in virtual work cannot emerge without virtual and physical interaction in appropriate spaces and caring for each other.
Future Research: Future studies may focus on other fields, industries, networks, roles of materialities, and employees in fostering creativity and on theory development. Longitudinal studies are advisable

Pemberian Motivasi Cinta Lingkungan Kepada Siswasiswi SMA
BIOTIC DIVERSITY OF KARELIA: CONDITIONS OF FORMATION, COMMUNITIES AND SPECIES
The monograph generalises vast data characterising the diversity of the biota in Russian Karelia. The data pool includes both materials of long-term studies, and new data collected in 1997–2000 within the Russian-Finnish project “Inventory and studies of biological diversity in Republic of Karelia”. The volume is composed of four interrelated chapters. Chapter one provides a detailed account of the climatic, geological, geomorphological, hydrological and soil conditions in which the regional biota has been forming. Chapter two describes and evaluates the diversity of forest, mire and meadow communities, and the third chapter details the terrestrial biota at the species level (vascular plants, mosses, aphyllophoroid fungi, lichens, mammals, birds, insects). A special section is devoted to the flora and fauna of aquatic ecosystems (algae, zooplankton, periphyton, macrozoobenthos, fishes). Wide use is made of various zoning approaches based on biodiversity-related criteria. Current status of the regional biota, including its diversity in protected areas, is analysed with elements of the human impact assessment. A concise glossary of the terms used is annexed.
This is an unprecedentally multi-faceted review, at least for the taiga zone of European Russia. The volume offers extensive reference materials for researchers in a widest range of ecological and biological fields, including graduate and post-graduate students. The monograph is also available in Russian
Supporting Sustainable Development Using Multiple Criteria Decision Aid: Towards an Age-Friendly Smart Living Environment
This chapter aims to contribute to a better understanding of how sustainable development (SD) can be supported in the building of age-friendly SLEs to meet the needs of an increasingly ageing population. The proposed holistic analysis framework enables regional stakeholders engaged in building age-friendly SLEs to analyse the identified conditions and practices facilitating and encouraging knowledge collaboration (KC) and knowledge sharing (KS) that are key determinants of knowledge management (KM) and decisive means in supporting SD. Drawing on multiple criteria decision-aid (MCDA) approach, the framework was developed by involving representatives of regional stakeholders, who are innovation actors of the Häme region’s (Finland) quadruple innovation helix model, Quadruple Helix, into a collaborative decision-making process within two empirical studies. The pilot study provided a substantial background for a deeper exploration of multidimensional, complex research questions and context in the main study which utilised problem structuring methods and techniques such as strategic options development and analysis (SODA), cognitive mapping, nominal group technique (NGT), and multi-voting. Assuming a constructivist, process-oriented stance, the main study enabled the development of a more realistic analysis framework through the sharing and aggregating of stakeholders’ expertise and experiences and the uncovering of the cause-and-effect relationships among factors related to the topic under study. Taking the form of a collective cognitive map, the framework was validated by both the regional stakeholders engaged in the decision-making process of the main study and two external experts, who represented business organisations building age-friendly SLEs. Both studies revealed senior citizens’ genuine enthusiasm and motivation to be engaged in building age-friendly SLEs and the vast potential they have in developing collaboration and sharing their knowledge and experience with other stakeholders
