Radial Bargmann representation for the Fock space of type B
Let be the probability and orthogonality measure for the
-Meixner-Pollaczek orthogonal polynomials, which has appeared in
\cite{BEH15} as the distribution of the -Gaussian process (the
Gaussian process of type B) over the -Fock space (the Fock space of
type B). The main purpose of this paper is to find the radial Bargmann
representation of . Our main results cover not only the
representation of -Gaussian distribution by \cite{LM95}, but also of
-Gaussian and symmetric free Meixner distributions on . In
addition, non-trivial commutation relations satisfied by -operators
are presented.Comment: 13 pages, minor changes have been mad
Harmonic Superspace Gaugeon Formalism for the ABJM Theory
In this paper we will analyse the ABJM theory in harmonic superspace. The
harmonic superspace variables will be parameterized by the coset
and thus will have manifest supersymmetry. We will study the
quantum gauge transformations and the BRST transformations of this theory in
gaugeon formalism. We will use this BRST symmetry to project out the physical
sub-space from the total Hilbert space. We will also show that the evolution of
the -matrix is unitary for this ABJM theory in harmonic
superspace.Comment: 11, pages, 0 figures, accepted for publication in Mod. Phys. Lett.
Tachycardia-induced myocardial ischemia and diastolic dysfunction potentiate secretion of ANP, not BNP, in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

publisherThe aim of this study was to investigate what factor determines tachycardia-induced secretion of atrial and brain natriuretic peptides (ANP and BNP, respectively) in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). HCM patients with normal left ventricular (LV) systolic function and intact coronary artery (n = 22) underwent rapid atrial pacing test. The cardiac secretion of ANP and BNP and the lactate extraction ratio (LER) were evaluated by using blood samples from the coronary sinus and aorta. LV end-diastolic pressure (LVEDP) and the time constant of LV relaxation of tau were measured by a catheter-tip transducer. These parameters were compared with normal controls (n = 8). HCM patients were divided into obstructive (HOCM) and nonobstructive (HNCM) groups. The cardiac secretion of ANP was significantly increased by rapid pacing in HOCM from 384 ± 101 to 1,268 ± 334 pg/ml (P < 0.05); however, it was not significant in control and HNCM groups. In contrast, the cardiac secretion of BNP was fairly constant and rather significantly decreased in HCM (P < 0.01). The cardiac ANP secretion was significantly correlated with changes in LER (r = –0.57, P < 0.01) and tau (r = 0.73, P < 0.001) in HCM patients. Tachycardia potentiates the cardiac secretion of ANP, not BNP, in patients with HCM, particularly when it induces myocardial ischemia and LV diastolic dysfunction

Noncommutative Geometry, Extended W(infty) Algebra and Grassmannian Solitons in Multicomponent Quantum Hall Systems
Noncommutative geometry governs the physics of quantum Hall (QH) effects. We
introduce the Weyl ordering of the second quantized density operator to explore
the dynamics of electrons in the lowest Landau level. We analyze QH systems
made of -component electrons at the integer filling factor .
The basic algebra is the SU(N)-extended W. A specific feature is
that noncommutative geometry leads to a spontaneous development of SU(N)
quantum coherence by generating the exchange Coulomb interaction. The effective
Hamiltonian is the Grassmannian sigma model, and the dynamical field
is the Grassmannian field, describing complex Goldstone
modes and one kind of topological solitons (Grassmannian solitons).Comment: 15 pages (no figures
In situ observations of "cold trap" dehydration in the western tropical Pacific
International audienceWater vapor sonde observations were conducted at Bandung, Indonesia (6.90 S, 107.60 E) and Tarawa, Kiribati (1.35 N, 172.91 E) in December 2003 to examine the efficiency of the "cold trap'' dehydration in the tropical tropopause layer (TTL). Trajectory analysis based on bundles of trajectories suggest that the modification of air parcels' identity due to irreversible mixing by the branching-out and merging-in of nearby trajectories is found to be an important factor, in addition to the routes air parcels are supposed to follow, for interpreting the water vapor concentrations observed by radiosondes in the TTL. Clear correspondence between the observed water vapor concentration and the estimated temperature history of air parcels is found showing that dry air parcels are exposed to low temperatures while humid air parcels do not experience cold conditions during advection, in support of the "cold trap'' hypothesis. It is suggested that the observed air parcel retained the water vapor by roughly twice as much as the minimum saturation mixing ratio after its passage through the "cold trap,'' although appreciable uncertainties remain
Education and Marriage Decisions of Japanese Women and the Role of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act
The Japanese Equal Employment Opportunity Act (EEOA) of 1985 aimed to reduce gender discrimination in the labor market, especially for career-oriented jobs. This paper investigates whether this act had an unanticipated effect on women\u27s marriage decisions. Using micro data from the Japanese Panel Survey of Consumers, we model women\u27s interrelated decisions on university education and whether to marry, focusing on whether women have married by age 32. Our results show a negative relationship between university education and marriage that is much greater for post-EEOA cohorts of women than for pre-EEOA cohorts, consistent with our hypothesis that the enhanced career opportunities associated with the EEOA stimulated women to delay or forgo marriage
Education and Marriage Decisions of Japanese Women and the Role of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act
Prompted by concordant upward trends in both the university advancement rate and the unmarried rate for Japanese women, this paper investigates whether the Equal Employment Opportunity Act (EEOA), which was passed in 1985, affected women\u27s marriage decisions either directly or via their decisions to pursue university education. To this end, we estimate a model that treats education and marriage decisions as jointly determined using longitudinal data for Japanese women. We find little evidence that the passage of EEOA increased the proportion of women who advance to university, but strong support for the proposition that it increased the deterrent effect of university education on marriage
White noise analysis on manifolds and the energy representation of a gauge group
The energy representation of a gauge group on a Riemannian manifold has been
discussed by several authors. Y. Shimada has shown the irreducibility for
compact Riemannian manifold, using white noise analysis. In this paper we
extend its technique to noncompact Riemannian manifolds which have differential
operators satisfying some conditions.Comment: 9 page
