    Abstract. Descriptive research with survey method was performed to determine Importance Value Index (IVI), Richeness (S), Eveness Index (E), Diversity Index (H’), and Similarity Index (IS) of herb vegetation on White rock and Bulusaraung Mountain Bulu-bulu Countryside Balocci Resort Bantimurung Bulusaraung National Park. Sampling were performed in two directions they are White rock and Bulusaraung Mountain. Transect placed with random. In each transect, 10 plots were made with 2 m x 2 m, placed criss-cross with alternating intervals with 8 m range between each plot. Each herb was counted and identified to species level. IVI of each herb were obtained from relative density, relative frequency and relative dominance. Results showed that 33 speciment, 5 identified by genus level and 28 identified by species level. Species with highest IVI in White rock were O. hirtellus, G. repens, A. compressus, C. prostrate dan C. cordifolium while the lowest were C. gigantea, N. hirsututa, C. sicyoides, P. mollissimum dan A. longiloba. Species of Bulusaraung Mountain with highest IVI were P. bettle, A. longiloba, A. unilaterale, C. rotundatus dan P. mollissimum whereas the least were Macrothelypteris sp., H. peduncularis, Aglaonema sp., Hedychium sp., dan Habenaria sp. BBPH net worth at 23 while the value of species richness in G. Bulsar by 25 species; equity indices in both areas classified as moderate; and high species diversity index at The Mount Bulusaraung otherwise being in the area BBPH.     Penelitian pra-eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penerapan model pembelajaran langsung yang digunakan pada materi sistem gerak di SMA Negeri 1 Donri-Donri. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran langsung efektif diterapkan pada materi sistem gerak di SMA Negeri 1 Donri-Donri. Pengukuran hasil belajar pada materi sistem gerak dilakukan terhadap 24 siswa kelas XI MIA 4, kemudian membandingkan nilai pretes siswa dengan nilai post tes di akhir pertemuan. Nilai hasil belajar siswa diperoleh rata-rata pretes 33.68 (berada pada kategori hasil belajar sangat rendah) dan rata-rata nilai posttes 71.81 (berada pada kategori hasil belajar tinggi). Mengukur keefektifan penerapan model pembelajaran langsung dengan analisis statistik inferensial menggunakan SPSS 16 dan diperoleh hasil 0.000 < α = 0.05 yang menunjukan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, sehingga menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis diterima, sedangkan untuk mengukur tingkat keefektifannya, digunakan uji Gain, yang menyatakan bahwa tingkat keefektifan dari penerapan model pembelajaran langsung adalah sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran langsung efektif diterapkan pada materi sistem gerak di SMA Negeri 1 Donri-Donri

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model project- terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik SMA pada materi keanekaragaman hayati. Metode penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian pre-experimental dengan menggunakan one group pretest. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X MIPA di SMAN 22 Gowa. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan secara purposive sampling yaitu dengan pertimbangan tertentu sehingga dipilih satu kelas X MIPA 3 yang berjumlah 34 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu melalui instrumen tes berdasarkan indikator berpikir kreatif dalam bentuk Esai sejumlah 10 nomor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model project-based learning efektif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik SMA Kelas X pada materi keanekaragaman hayati. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan uji n-gain dengan perolehan persentase nilai rata-rata n-gain yaitu 78.53 %

    This study aims to determine the characterization of isoprenoid compounds in the mangrove A. alba and seedling growth of A. alba at different levels of salinity. The results showed the total lipids in the leaves of A. alba (21 mg) was higher than that in the roots (11,7 mg). Total Non Saponifiable Lipids (NSL) content in the leaves of A. alba (1,1 mg) greater than that in the roots (0,6 mg). NSL composition of A. alba consists of 3 major factions namely triterpenoids, phytosterols, and other compounds. Phytosterol composition in the leaves and roots of A. alba showed the presence of compounds such as campesterol, stigmasterol and β-sitosterol. As frase for the composition triterpenoid found the presence of β-amyrin, germanicol, betulin, lupeol and α-amyrin. Phytol, cholesterol, and squalene were also found as the other compounds. The content of the NSL triterpenoid was higher than phytosterol in the leaves and roots of A. alba. The results also showed that phytol compounds had the highest content of leaves of A. alba (71.4 %) and the β-sitosterol had the highest content of root A. alba (27.8 %). Based on the analysis of the effect of salinity on seedling growth of A. alba showed that the salinity of 2% significantly affected the seedling height and diameter of 3 months of A. alba

    The implementation of the 2013 curriculum is one way for the government to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. In its implementation, the 2013 curriculum promotes a scientific approach (Scientific Approach) in its learning. One of the materials in learning Biology is Biotechnology, which in its implementation is still rarely carried out practicum because of limited knowledge and raw materials. Kefir is one of the conventional biotechnology products that can use milk raw materials (one of the superior products in the Enrekang Regency). Kefir is formed after milk is fermented using kefir seeds in a way that is simpler than other conventional biotechnology products. The introduction of kefir making needs to be done to teachers and students of Enrekang Regency to support learning Biotechnology materials. This activity was carried out on 19-20 July 2019, at Enrekang Public High School 2 with participants coming from teachers and students from various junior and senior high schools in Enrekang Regency. The activity was attended by 13 participants and has succeeded in providing knowledge about the importance of practicing kefir to support learning Biotechnology in schools. In addition, the participants were also able to formulate the title / theme of kefir-based research for the preparation of scientific papers

    Penelitian pra-eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada materi bioteknologi. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek efektif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada materi bioteknologi. Nilai kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik diperoleh rata-rata pretest 29.46 dan rata-rata posttest 69.25. Keefektifan penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek diukur melalui analisis statistik inferensial menggunakan SPSS 18 dan diperoleh hasil sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < α = 0,05 yang berarti H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, sehingga menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis diterima. Adapun untuk mengukur tingkat keefektifannya, digunakan uji N-gain, yang menyatakan bahwa tingkat keefektifan dari penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek adalah sebanyak 37 orang (92.5%) dari peserta didik memiliki N-gain pada kategori sedang dan/atau tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek efektif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada materi Bioteknologi. Kata kunci: Bioteknologi, Kemampuan pemecahan masalah, Model pembelajaran berbasis proye

    Tree Vegetation Structure at the Realolo Village Bantimurung Bulusaraung National Park Maros District

    This paper reports on tree vegetation structure at the Realolo village, Bantimurung Bulusaraung National Park. Data were collected from  15 transects with the size of each transect was 100 x 10 m at Region I, Region II, and Region III that successively farther away from the settlements. The results showed there were 49 species and belong to 30 families. Family with the highest number of species is Myrtaceae. In the Region, I and II, species with the highest Important Value Index (IVI) belonged to Gastoniaserratifolia, and at Region III belong to Litsea sp. Species with the lowest IVI Region I belonged to Phaleriacapitata, at Region II belonged to Pittosporummolucanum, and at Region III was belong to Bischoviajavanica. The class interval of density and frequency showed more rare species than widespread species. Soil's temperature and pH have a negative relation with trees' frequency and density. More species distribute the lowest stem class diameter. The highest value of Shannon Wiener's diversity index, Richness Index and Pielou's evenness index was in Region II, and the lowest value of these indexes was in Region I.This study provides a baseline for the management of Bantimurung Bulusaraung National Park

    Bokashi compost production is carried out at the Biology Experimental Farm Laboratory as part of the Campus Intellectual Product Development Program (PPUPIK) which is one of the community service programs (PKM) of the Ministry of Research and High Education (Kemenristekdikti). This is motivated by problems encountered: (1) There is still a lack of good quality compost on the market, (2) Makassar has many horticultural and ornamental plant tips so that the demand for compost is also high, (3) compost production sites in Makassar is relatively small so that most compost in the market is obtained from other regions, thus increasing transportation costs and ultimately the price is more expensive. The method used is apprenticeship practical work, demonstrations, Forum Group discussions (FGD), and consultation. The results achieved are (1) apprentices have knowledge of compost, planting media and nutrition for good plant growth and development, (2) Apprentices have the skills to make Bokashi compost, (3) Apprentices have good production and marketing management skills good, (4) Producing bokashi compost that has good quality and adequate quantity

    Effectivity of Anatagonistic Bacteria in Controlling of Fusarium Wilt Diseases of Banana (Musa paradisiaca) by in Vitro

    Fusarium wilt disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum f sp. Cubennse (Foc) is a major disease on Banana plant which lost production more than 50%. This patogen is a soil-born disease and persistence until five years in the soil. Biological control is one of stratetegic diseases control need to applied to inhibit development of Fusarium wilt disease of Banana. The purposes of this study are (a) to isolate antagonistic bacteria from banana plant rhizosphere which has a good potensial to inhibit Foc growth by in vitro; (b) to know antagonistic mechanisms of selected bacteria by secondary metabolite production by in vitro. This study was carried out in Biology Laboratory Universitas Negeri Makassar with method as follows:(a). Isolation and purification of antagonistic bacteria from Banana plant rhizoaphere; (2) Test of dual culture; (3) Test of secondary metabolite substance. The result of this study showed that (a) there are four selected bacteria which have a good potential in inhibiting Foc growth by in vitro such as: Isolate B6, B8, B2 and B1 with inhibitor capacity 80.47%, 80.17%, 78.78% and 77.74%, respectively.
