Lexical Theoretical Development in Applied Tamil Grammar Texts

After 19th century Tamil literature has gone through many dimensions. Advent of print media, focus on language education and the establishment of new educational institutions are the reason for the development of many language based grammatical texts. The newly added grammatical elements are recorded in the grammar texts. Applied Tamil grammar texts explains the syllable, series and words based on grammar books. However, the new modern language theory records the changes that have appeared in the language system and highlights the language and grammar in the theory of linguistics. Tamil grammar books explains and defines grammar based on a Tamil text Nannul. Types of words are explained in the linguistic point of view by adapting the etymology mentioned in the Nannul. It also explains the new adjectives and adverbs and records the newly developed grammatical elements which are used in modern language. Word classification is divided into three levels. They are, classification based on alphabetic, classification based on case of words and classification based on grammatical usage. Contemporary Tamil tradition examines some of the techniques adopted by Tamil grammarians to define the word. Present Tamil grammarians distinguishes nouns and verbs on the basis of verb or on the basis of object. People also began approaching Tamil Grammar based on English grammar because of the abundance usage of English language. Tamil grammar text ‘Nalla Nool Eluthavaenduma’ explains grammar in a very simple way and it is considered to be the best grammar manual. Tamil grammar text explores the structure of Tamil language. Lexical grammar is explained in terms of linguistics. The four types of words such as noun, verb, interjection and adjective examine the changes that occurred in the language. Thus, the article gives a clear idea about lexical theoretical development in applied Tamil grammar texts

Antiskyrmions stabilized at interfaces by anisotropic Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction

Chiral magnets are an emerging class of topological matter harbouring localized and topologically protected vortex-like magnetic textures called skyrmions, which are currently under intense scrutiny as a new entity for information storage and processing. Here, on the level of micromagnetics we rigorously show that chiral magnets cannot only host skyrmions but also antiskyrmions as least-energy configurations over all non-trivial homotopy classes. We derive practical criteria for their occurrence and coexistence with skyrmions that can be fulfilled by (110)-oriented interfaces in dependence on the electronic structure. Relating the electronic structure to an atomistic spin-lattice model by means of density-functional calculations and minimizing the energy on a mesoscopic scale applying spin-relaxation methods, we propose a double layer of Fe grown on a W(110) substrate as a practical example. We conjecture that ultrathin magnetic films grown on semiconductor or heavy metal substrates with C2vC_{2v} symmetry are prototype classes of materials hosting magnetic antiskyrmions.Comment: 20 pages (11 pages + 9 pages supplementary material

Looking Under the Hood : Tools for Diagnosing your Question Answering Engine

In this paper we analyze two question answering tasks : the TREC-8 question answering task and a set of reading comprehension exams. First, we show that Q/A systems perform better when there are multiple answer opportunities per question. Next, we analyze common approaches to two subproblems: term overlap for answer sentence identification, and answer typing for short answer extraction. We present general tools for analyzing the strengths and limitations of techniques for these subproblems. Our results quantify the limitations of both term overlap and answer typing to distinguish between competing answer candidates.Comment: Revision of paper appearing in the Proceedings of the Workshop on Open-Domain Question Answerin

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of Tax Policy, Tax Law, and Tax Administration on Tax Planning. Our samples consist of 20 Tax Cosultant’s Clients in Surabaya. The Results of this study show that tax policy and tax administration is not a factor that can motivate management to perform tax planning. While the tax laws is a factor that can motivate management to perform tax planning. This research suggests to the Government to issue tax regulations clearly and unambiguously that there is no potential loss in tax revenue caused by the gap

    4-[(4-Methylphenyl)amino]pent-3-en-2-one

The title enaminoketone, C12H15NO, is a derivative of 4-(phenylamino)pent-3-en-2-one with an approximately planar pentenone backbone, the greatest displacement from the plane being 0.042 (1) Å; the asymmetry in C—C distances in the group suggests the presence of unsaturated bonds. The dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the pentenone plane is 29.90 (4)°. In the crystal, an intramolecular N—H⋯O interaction and an intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bond are observed

Self-Settled Spendthrift Trusts: Should a Few Bad Apples Spoil the Bunch?

It is unfortunate, but perhaps not terribly surprising, that the first two reported cases to consider the application of conflict of laws principles to self-settled spendthrift trusts both involved bad facts from an asset protection planning standpoint. In this regard, the adage bad facts produce bad law is not a slight on the courts, but rather an acknowledgment of a court\u27s primary duty to do substantial justice to the parties immediately before it. However, in an effort to do substantial justice to the parties immediately before them, the Portnoy and Brooks courts have forged what may well become the first two links in an overly stiff and unyielding chain of precedent upon which future courts will rely without due analysis of the conflict of laws issue. We do not suggest that debtors are bereft of any moral obligation to creditors, nor that the courts should countenance fraudulent conveyances simply because they may be valid under the law of another jurisdiction. We suggest instead that there must be a balancing of interests recognizing that our society continues to evolve, and that our common law must do so as well. In summary, a self-settled spendthrift trust, if valid under the law of a sister state, or even the law of a foreign state, should be respected if created for legitimate estate or asset protection planning purposes but should provide no spendthrift protection if not

IS KENYA’S CURRENT ACCOUNT SUSTAINABLE? A STATIONARITY AND COINTEGRATION APPROACH

    Get PDF
The objective of this paper is to examine the sustainability of the current account deficits in Kenya. In this respect, stationarity and Cointegration test was employed to ascertain sustainability of the current account in Kenya between 1970 to 2012.The choice of the set of variables were motivated by the existing theories about the long-run intertemporal budget constraint. Results indicate that Current account is stationary at levels implying that its mean reverting and temporary and that external debt is finite and sustainable. The empirical results suggest that exports and imports are cointegrated with the cointegrating coefficient of 0.21989 which is significantly not equal to one, but equal to zero, implying that the current account was not on the sustainable path indicating a weak form of sustainability. The paper concludes that Current account deficit of Kenya may not be sustainable in the long-run
