THEMATIC STRUCTURE SHIFT FOUND IN ENGLISH - INDONESIAN TRANSLATION OF OBAMA’S SPEECH IN INDONESIA UNIVERSITY

This study analyzes types of themes and theme shifts in the English - Indonesian translation of Barrac Obama’s speech in Universitas Indonesia. The result shows that topical theme dominates the entire texts 71.43% in ST and 79.64% in TT. Interpersonal theme is the least theme found in both texts. Most topical themes are in participants, followed by circumstance and process. The textual theme in both texts is adjunct conjunctive. The interpersonal themes are modals. Most of the themes are considered as equivalent. The theme shift occurs through three processes: by changing the grammatical function within the theme by adding more themes and by deleting themes

MODÉL PANGAJARAN PICTURE AND PICTURE DINA PANGAJARAN NULIS LAPORAN : Studi Kuasi Ékspérimén ka Siswa Kelas VIII-C SMP Negeri 26 Bandung Taun Ajaran 2015/2016

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam menulis laporan yang bertujuan untuk menguji dan mendeskripsikan bagaimana pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran Picture and Picture dalam menulis laporan siswa kelas VIII-C SMP Negeri 26 Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode studi kuasi eksperimen, dengan sumber data kelas VIII-C SMP Negeri 26 Bandung. Desain yang digunakan adalah one group pretest posttest design. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah instrumen tes sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran Picture and Picture. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis t-test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, rata-rata hasil menulis laporan sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran Picture and Picture adalah (57,78) belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM), sedangkan rata-rata hasil menulis laporan sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran Picture and Picture adalah (80,83) sudah mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Setelah dilakukan analisis dengan t-test diperoleh nilai thitung (21,14) > ttabel (2,42). Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Picture and Picture dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis laporan siswa kelas VIII-C SMP Negeri 26 Bandung. ; This research is motivated by the lack of student's skills in writing a report that aims to examine and describe how learning implementation using the model of Picture and Picture in writing the report of grade VIII-C SMP Negeri 26 Bandung. The method used is the method of quasi-experimental study, with the data sources of VIII-C SMP Negeri 26 Bandung. The design used was one group pretest posttest design. The instruments used in data collection is a test instrument before and after using the model of Picture and Picture. The collected data is then analyzed using t-test analysis. Based on the previous research, the average results of writting reports before using the model of Picture and Picture are (57,78) has not reached the Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM), while the average result of writing reports after using the model of Picture and Picture is (80,83) has reached the Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). After analysis is done by the t-test the value obtained are (21,14) > t table (2,42). Thus, Picture and Picture learning model can improve the ability of writting the reports on the students of grade VIII-C SMP Negeri 26 Bandung

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) struktur novel Laskar Pelangi dan Orang Miskin Dilarang Sekolah; (2) persamaan dan perbedaan struktur novel Laskar Pelangi dan Orang Miskin Dilarang Sekolah; (3) kajian intertekstualitas antara novel Laskar Pelangi dan Orang Miskin Dilarang Sekolah; dan (4) nilai pendidikan novel Laskar Pelangi dan Orang Miskin Dilarang Sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan intertekstualitas yang sebelumnya didahului dengan pendekatan struktural. Sumber data adalah novel Laskar Pelangi dan Orang Miskin Dilarang Sekolah. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik analisis dokumen. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis mengalir. Teknik validitas data yang digunakan adalah trianggulasi teori. Hasil temuan penelitian dengan kajian intertekstualitas menunjukkan bahwa kedua novel tersebut: (1) struktur kedua novel terdiri atas tema, sudut pandang, penokohan, latar, alur, dan amanat; (2) persamaan struktur kedua novel tersebut berupa tema. Kedua novel mempunyai tema yang sama yakni pendidikan. Amanat, kedua novel mengamanatkan untuk berani bercita-cita dan berusaha keras mewujudkan citacita tersebut. Terkait dengan alur, kedua novel menggunakan alur maju. Penokohan dalam kedua novel memiliki persamaan yakni pada teknik karakterisasi. Baik itu Laskar Pelangi maupun Orang Miskin Dilarang Sekolah karakter tokoh tidak selalu digambarkan secara gamblang dan terperinci tetapi dapat diketahui dari dialog antartokoh dan deskripsi pengarang secara langsung. Secara fisiologis, tokoh utama dalam kedua novel memiliki jenis kelamin yang sama yakni laki-laki (Ikal dan Faisal). Secara psikologis tercermin watak tokoh utama yaitu berkemauan keras. Perbedaan kedua novel terletak pada sudut pandang. Laskar pelangi menggunakan sudut pandang persona pertama “Aku”, sedangkan Orang Miskin Dilarang Sekolah menggunakan sudut pandang campuran. Latar cerita dalam novel Laskar Pelangi di Pulau Belitong, Sumatera Selatan, sedangkan novel Orang Miskin Dilarang Sekolah berlatar di Semarang, Jawa Tengah; (3) dari hasil kajian intertekstualitas dapat disimpulkan bahwa novel Laskar Pelangi merupakan hipogram, sedangkan novel Orang Miskin Dilarang Sekolah merupakan teks transformasi; dan (4) nilai pendidikan yang terkandung di dalam novel Laskar Pelangi dan Orang Miskin Dilarang Sekolah yaitu: nilai pendidikan religius, sosial, moral, dan kebudayaan

PENGARUH MODAL DAN PENGGUNAAN KREDIT USAHA RAKYAT TERHADAP LABA USAHA PADA NASABAH UMKM PT BANK RAKYAT INDONESIA UNIT SURYANATA SAMARINDA 1

This study aims to determine the effect of capital and the use of people's business credit on operating profits for MSME customers of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Suryanata Samarinda unit. This research is quantitative research and the method used in this study is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis with the help of Software Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) Version 26. The population in the study is customers who use People's Business Credit on MSME customers of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Suryanata Samarinda unit office. The independent variables used in this study were capital and the use of people's business credit. While the dependent variable in this study is operating profit for MSME customers of Bank Rakyat Indonesia suryanata samarinda unit. The data analysis method is tested with Software Statistical Product and Services Solutions (SPSS), which includes validity tests with r calculate > r table of (0.2432) and positive nilain, reliability test of capital (X1), use of KUR (X2), and operating profit (Y) has a reliable value, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression test, hypothesis testing through t test for valuable capital (4634), and the use of KUR is valued (8.6827), and the F test is calculated value (282.932), as well as the coefficient of determination test (R2) Adjusted R Square value (0.897) shows that capital variables and the use of KUR have proven to have a positive and significant effect on the operating profit of MSME customers of Bank Rakyat Indonesia Suryanata Samarinda Uni

DIPLOMASI BUDAYA KOREA SELATAN PADA ACARA KOREAN CULTURE & TRAVEL FESTIVAL 2023 DALAM PERAYAAN 50 TAHUN HUBUNGAN DIPLOMATIK KOREA SELATAN-INDONESIA

This study aims to examine the form of cultural diplomacy carried out by South Korea through the Korean Culture and Travel Festival 2023 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Indonesia and its contribution to bilateral relations. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with secondary data through library research. Using the concept of cultural diplomacy by Tulus Warsito and Wahyuni Kartikasari, the results of this study indicate that the cultural diplomacy strategy applied by South Korea through exhibitions is effective in achieving diplomatic goals and strengthening bilateral relations. The Korean Culture and Travel Festival 2023 has been successfully utilized by South Korea as an effective cultural diplomacy, thereby enhancing the influence of the Korean Wave in Indonesia

PENGARUH FITUR LAYANAN, MANFAAT DAN KEAMANAN TERHADAP KEPUASAN NASABAH MENGGUNAKAN APLIKASI DALAM GENGGAMAN (DG) BANKALTIMTARA CABANG TENGGARONG

This study aims to determine the Effect of Service Features, Benefits and Security on Customer Satisfaction Using the Application in Denggaman (DG) Bankaltimtara Tenggarong branch. This study used a quantitative approach, using primary data through questionnaires. The respondents in this study were Bankaltimtara Tenggarong branch customers with qualifications who used the Bankaltimtara In Hand Application (DG). The Independent Variables used in this study were Service Features, Benefits and Safety. While the dependent variable in this study is Customer Satisfaction. In this study, the analysis tool used was multiple linear regression with the help of Software Statistical Product and Servies Solutions (SPSS) version 20. This study used multiple linear regression analysis with the equation Y = 3.672 + 0.332 X1 + 0.545 X2 + 0.166 X3. The regression coefficient of the service feature variable (X1) has a calculated value of ttable > (4.523 > 1.977) with a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05. The benefit variable (X2) has a calculated value of > ttable (9.021 > 1.977) with a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05. The security variable (X3) has a calculated value of > ttable (2.797 > 1.977) with a significant value of 0.006 < 0.05. Then it can be concluded that H1, H2 and H3 are accepted. The results of this study also show that the value of fcalculate is greater than the ftable of (53.745 > 3.060) supported by a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05, then H0 is accepted and H4 is accepted so that it can be concluded that the variables of service features, benefits and security simultaneously have a positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction using the Bankaltimtara Tenggarong Branch In Hand Application (DG)

Islam dan Demokrasi di Pakistan

Pakistan is an Islamic country with the third largest Muslim population in the world. However, the size of the Muslims here is inversely proportional to the recognition of Pakistan as an insecure and conflict-prone country. In fact, the use of Islam as the state ideology is not always easy in implementing Islamic law perfectly. Islam, which is manifested as an ideology in its elaboration, has not yet reached a national consensus, especially to find a common ground between Islam and democracy. This journal writing aims to examine more deeply the application of Islam and democracy in Pakistan. To approach the problem, this study uses a political sociology approach by referring to the theory put forward by John L. Esposito and James P. Piscatory. Collecting data in this study using techniques library research, while in the analysis using qualitative sources and other supporting sources. This research results in the finding that there is a mutually interesting relationship between Islam and democracy in government in Pakistan. This occurs because of differences in views between Islamic groups in interpreting Islam as the state ideology. This difference is what causes the application of Islamic law to not necessarily coincide with democratic practices in Pakistan

THE ROLE OF CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR OF ALUMNI TOWARDS THEIR ALMAMATER: A DRIVER OF FINANCIAL AND SOCIAL GIVING BEHAVIOUR

Specifically, the purpose of this study is to analyze the essence of both the direct or indirect role of alumni’s satisfaction with their alma mater. The higher alumni’s satisfaction will further encourage alumni’s involvement,and alumni’s engagementindicatesthat it will influence citizenship behavior,and its influence in increasing financial and social giving behavior. The samplesof this study arewere alumni of the Faculty of Economics and Business in Surakarta, with samplesof 161 alumni. Sample technique used in this study is anon-probability samplingbecause of the representation of large samples that need attention and the sample used is different for each level. Based on the research model built, the data are analysed by using the Structure Equation Model (SEM) and the opened questions are strengthen withinterviews with alumni. The results of the study explain that alumni’s satisfaction influence alumni’s involvement and alumni’s engagement. The results of the study also show that there is aninfluence of alumni’s involvement and alumni’s engagement towards citizenship behavior, and a influence citizenship behavior towards financial and social behavior.The result of this study supports the theory of discretionary collaborative behavior, where the effect of alumni satisfaction on alumni involvement is proven. This is indicated by path coefficients showing the strongest results. The results also showthat the effect of citizenship behavior on social giving behavior is greater than that of citizenship behavior on financial giving behavior
