(1) after a study in which hemoglobin from a number of individual infants was used. We have now examined in part the fetal hemoglobin components of 17 additional infants and have observed that position 136 of the γ chain may be occupied not only by a glycyl residue, as previously reported, but also by an alanyl residue

Study on the Viability of Preparing Plaster Molds for Rapid Prototyping of Complex Ceramic Parts using the Lost PLA Method
In the field of metal casting, cast parts often require an internal cavity to be made to meet design requirements. Frequently, these interior surfaces are not manufacturable through standard machining processes, and even when possible, they would most likely involve expensive and time-consuming operations. In order to avoid these machining costs, expendable ceramic or sand cores are manufactured and placed into the mold to allow the direct casting of complex internal geometries. This research seeks to use relatively inexpensive plastic 3D printing technology and the lost PLA casting process for the production of low-cost and rapidly producible ceramic cores. A suspension of fused silica flour in a colloidal silica binder was to be slip cast in a plaster mold and fired to create a final ceramic piece. This process has promising implications in the future of rapid prototyping of cast parts with extremely complex internal features
A deep X-ray observation of supernova remnant G304.6+0.1 (Kes 17) with Suzaku
In this paper, we present the analysis of a deep (99.6 ks) observation of
G304.6 + 0.1 with the X-ray Imaging Spectrometer on board {\it Suzaku}
satellite. The X-ray spectral data are well-fitted with a plasma model
consisting of a thermal component in collisional ionization equilibrium and a
non-thermal component. The thermal emission is well fitted with VMEKAL model
with an electron temperature of keV, a high absorbing
column density of and near/lower
solar abundances which indicate that the X-ray emitting plasma of G304.6 + 0.1
is dominated by swept-up ambient medium. The non-thermal component is well
fitted with a power-law model with photon index of . We found
a relatively high electron density cm, age
yr, and X-ray emitting mass {M\sun} at an adopted distance of d=10 kpc. Using the morphological
and spectral X-ray data, we confirm that the remnant is a new member of
