The focus of this research is to investigate the relationship between learning flexibility, support services, and students' attitudes toward remote learning programs in Nigeria. A correlational research methodology is used, and 385 individuals drawn from a multi-stage sampling technique form the study's sample. The data collecting tool is a three-section questionnaire devised by the researchers. Experts validated the questionnaire, which was then administered once on a randomly selected sample to assess the internal consistency. The Cronbach Alpha formula produced values of .74, .77, and .78 for the three separate questionnaire constructs. At the .05 level of significance, two research questions were posed, and two related null hypotheses were investigated. The collected data is analysed using the Mean, Standard Deviation, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation formulas. The findings show that there is a positive relationship between digital learning flexibility and students' attitudes toward distant learning programs (r =.439, Freq=476, p.05). There is also a favourable link between technology supports and students' attitudes toward distant learning programs (r =.339, Freq=476, p.05). It is thus recommended, among other things, that providers of distance learning programs guarantee high flexibility and quality learner support services to cater to the academic needs of learners with different characteristics, as this would improve students' positive attitudes and increase the enrolment of candidates in distance learning programs.

Diarrhea and other diarrheal diseases such as cholera, pose great health problems and continue to be a major cause of child morbidity and mortality among children under 5 in Nigeria. This study aims to assess the knowledge and practice of women receiving non- formal education on prevention and management of childhood diarrhea in their homes. Using a structured questionnaire, a survey was carried out among 109 women studying in adult and non-formal education schools in Kano state. Respondent’s demographic information was collected alongside health knowledge and home practices subsequently tabulated using percentages and mean scores. The correlation between health knowledge and home practices was also calculated to determine association. The study reveals that the majority of the 109 women interviewed had high knowledge of both Diarrhea and ORS (Mean: General Knowledge – 1.08, In-depth Knowledge – 1.47). The bivariate analysis indicates a significant moderate positive association between knowledge of Diarrhea/ORS and home preventive practices (r = .590, (p = 0.00) further supported by the results of the linear regression indicates that knowledge accounts for a significant predictor of women’s Diarrhea/ORS home practices R2 =.342 F=57.106, (p < .05). In accordance with the result, important aspects of both diarrhea and ORS need to be addressed explicitly and with rigour in the health education curriculum since the majority of the students are married with children.peer-reviewe

Student politics is one of the ignored areas in the international scholarly debate. In the late 1960's to early 1970's, some authors made some contributions in the context of South America and Africa. In 1968, Altbach also made very little contribution on the Indian student politics and its impact on development. The institutions of HE (higher education) in southern Asia is experiencing a high volume of student politics and teacher politics. In the discourse of institutional management and national development, people often make links between teacher politics and students while they talk informally. As the academics of HE in Southern Asia whom mainly conduct research are also rigorously involved with the politics, therefore, they often ignore this area. Factually, student politics has a serious impact on the institutional management and education system itself. This also provides a high volume of impact on the national development, education and state business in overall. This paper explores the impact of students' involvement in 'party politics' on national development and state business of education in Bangladesh, while answering some specific research questions through the data gained from an empirical research work

This study seeks to find out the effectiveness of service delivery between the public and the private HEIs as perceived by the students; investigating the differences in four areas and the relationship between the management and the administration indicators and other three indicators in the admission, facilities and teaching. Descriptive and linear regression analyses were used to analyse the data. Total 400 students from four different universities were the respondents of the study. The findings reveal that private higher education institutions have fared significantly better in all areas except in the academic teaching aspect in comparison to their public counterparts. With regards to admission, the private HEIs have fared better where students highly rate the website effectiveness and the use of social media as offered by these private education institutions, as to be highly informative to them. The public education institutions view facilities as a mere addition, whereas the private education institutions see them as an initial sizeable investment outlay. In the teaching sector of excellence, however, the findings skewed more positively towards public education institutions. This study recommends public universities to be lenient in the areas of admission procedures and infrastructure facilities and private universities to be attentive to ensure quality teaching

In this study, the authors searched, read, collated and reflected on the past research on the factors affecting university teachers\u27 job satisfaction for the period of 2010-2021. In this systematic literature review, we can understand that the factors that influence the job satisfaction of university teachers are broadly divided into three areas, including the university, the teachers themselves, and the students. The authors have therefore systematically summarized and analyzed a total of ten areas of influence on schools, six variables under teachers\u27 own factors, and two factors under students. Through this literature review, we found that there is still a lack of research on various aspects, and because of this, we hope that through this systematic analysis, we can extend and break through the factors of teachers\u27 job satisfaction in the future, and provide constructive guidelines for the subsequent development of school policies, teacher support work and student evaluation, in order to better and comprehensively improve teachers\u27 job satisfaction, so as to better achieve teaching goals and improve teaching quality

Background Building healthy eating habit is essential for all people. School and family are the prime institutions to instill this habit during early age. This study is aimed at understanding the impact of family such as parents’ educations and incomes on building students’ healthy eating habits. Methods A survey on building students’ eating habits was conducted among primary school students of grade 4 (11 years) and 5 (12 years) from Kulim district, Malaysia. Data from 318 respondents were analysed. Descriptive statistics were used to find the present scenario of their knowledge, attitude and practices towards their eating habits while one-way ANOVA and independent sample t-test were used to find the differences between their practices based on students’ gender, parents’ educations and incomes. Results The study finds that the students have a good knowledge of types of healthy food but yet their preferences are towards the unhealthy food. Though the students’ gender and parents’ educations are not found significantly related to students’ knowledge, attitude and practices towards healthy eating habits, parents’ incomes have significant influence on promoting the healthy eating habit. Discussion Findings of this study can be useful to guide parents in healthy food choices and suggest them to be models to their children in building healthy eating habits
