IoT Security Approaches in Oil & Gas Solution Industry 4.0
Oil and Gas Industry is a very complex one where very specialized equipment, tools and assets are used. The last years, the trend within that industry is to integrate digital technologies in the oil and gas extraction processes as ICT performance has increased and the price has declined. As effect, the productivity of the industry has increased by using digital technologies as IoT, cloud computing, industrial internet, artificial intelligence, block-chain etc. This paper highlights IoT approaches and solutions that could be applied in the oil and gas industry in creating new value in information generated by IoT infrastructures by integration the sensor data, communication channels and data analytics. Large variety of IoT deployments and protocols raises the IoT security assurance way. In this sense, the paper provides security solutions and examples

Exploring Perceptions and Practices in Organizing University Scientific Research
he development of transdisciplinary projects, crucial in the context of the complex challenges facing
society. The organization of scientific research must prioritize the human factor and involve
establishing the departments involved in university scientific research and the connections between
them. This paper presents the perceptions of academic staff at a medical university regarding the
organization and implementation of research within the university and the sources of research
funding.
The results highlight a clear orientation towards interdisciplinary research, albeit conducted
within the organization itself, and a weak prioritization of fundamental research. Additionally,
funding through international grants is seen as less accessible than national funding, despite the
medical field being considered a priority in the funding programs. The research findings are relevant
for decision-makers in the field of research funding at both the national and organizational levels
Comparative study on the lateral run-out of friction surfaces measurement of brake discs using a brake roller tester and a dial gauge
Brake system diagnosis is one of the most common and necessary technical operations applied to the car, regardless of its type and operating phases. Measuring the diagnostic parameters on a roller brake tester is a fast operation with no disassembly necessary. Measuring the run-out of friction surfaces of brake discs with a dial gauge is an action that requires more extensive preparatory operations but it offers a high accuracy of the results. The paper aims to analyze the correlation between the dial gauge measured values and the diagnostic obtained using the brake roller tester
The method of statistical design of experiments has been implemented in order to analyse the effects of the technological welding parameters and the chemical nature of the base and filler metal. The chemical, thermo-mechanical and energetic effect were studied with the aim to control and decrease the thickness of the intermetallic layer formed between the melted zone and the base metal and considered to be critical to cracking. The microstructure was studied by optical and SEM microscopy, EDS, X-ray, hardness and nanoindentation. The fracture produced in the interface layer has been related to the intermetallic compounds (Al3Mg2 and Al12Mg17), with a hardness up to 350 HV0.025, as well of the thickness of the interface layer and to the alloying composition. The RZ5 as base metal was successfully joined with the Al4043 welding wire, in both CMT and laser process.According to the systematically analyse, who shows a better welding ability of the couples Al4043/RZ5, which contains zirconium, by the adding of this element in the molten metal the welding ability improvement was showed. For the laser joining, a modification of the cooling condition by a accelerate thermal cycle, by using a copper support for the base metal was induce a modification of the interface layer, showing the interest of mastering the technical condition. Reducing the environmental impact of surgery on a global scale: systematic review and co-prioritization with healthcare workers in 132 countries
Abstract
Background
Healthcare cannot achieve net-zero carbon without addressing operating theatres. The aim of this study was to prioritize feasible interventions to reduce the environmental impact of operating theatres.
Methods
This study adopted a four-phase Delphi consensus co-prioritization methodology. In phase 1, a systematic review of published interventions and global consultation of perioperative healthcare professionals were used to longlist interventions. In phase 2, iterative thematic analysis consolidated comparable interventions into a shortlist. In phase 3, the shortlist was co-prioritized based on patient and clinician views on acceptability, feasibility, and safety. In phase 4, ranked lists of interventions were presented by their relevance to high-income countries and lowâmiddle-income countries.
Results
In phase 1, 43 interventions were identified, which had low uptake in practice according to 3042 professionals globally. In phase 2, a shortlist of 15 intervention domains was generated. In phase 3, interventions were deemed acceptable for more than 90 per cent of patients except for reducing general anaesthesia (84 per cent) and re-sterilization of âsingle-useâ consumables (86 per cent). In phase 4, the top three shortlisted interventions for high-income countries were: introducing recycling; reducing use of anaesthetic gases; and appropriate clinical waste processing. In phase 4, the top three shortlisted interventions for lowâmiddle-income countries were: introducing reusable surgical devices; reducing use of consumables; and reducing the use of general anaesthesia.
Conclusion
This is a step toward environmentally sustainable operating environments with actionable interventions applicable to both highâ and lowâmiddleâincome countries

The importance of knowledge on the evaluation criteria in university scientific research projects
Scientific research is part of any university mission, at least of big universities, as it represents the complementary element required by the learning process. A learning process based on engendering knowledge is much more valuable and competitive than a learning process which is reduced to a mere transfer of knowledge from the teacher to the students. The important universities consider that âthe development of scientific research as a fundamental competence is essential for survival in a more and more competitive environment on global level and that is why, research should be part of the university missionâ1. This study aims to highlight how important it is for the university members to be aware of the evaluation criteria for the research projects they undertake. For this purpose, I have interviewed a number of 55 persons, project managers and team members in the projects from the âResearch for Excellencyâ program and the National Plan of Research, Development and Innovation PN II 2007 â 2013. Out of the evaluation criteria for research, the most important ones were considered to be the scientific quality of the project and the quality of the human resources involved in the project.evaluation, evaluation criteria, scientific research, research project
