    STUDENTS’ SELF-ASSESSMENT ON THEIR SPOKEN INTERACTION USING CEFR

    Assessment is one of the important parts in the teaching and learning process. For many students, assessment is something done to them by their teachers. But, students have to be involved in every assessment. Sometimes spoken interaction is scored by teachers but because of the limited time, teachers can ask students to assess their own spoken interaction. However, assessment conducted by the students still has many weaknesses even it is not trusted. This research studied about the students’ self assessment on their spoken interaction using CEFR. The researcher employed three instruments; self-assessment, a questionnaire, and open-ended questions. The participants of this study were 30 student teachers. The researcher gave the self-assessment form, a questionnaire and open-ended questions to them. The self-assessment form was used to find out their spoken interaction data while the questionnaire was used to find out their attitude toward self-assessment and open-ended questions were given to support their attitude toward self-assessment. It can be concluded that students’ self-assessment results were not too bad for new students and also they had good attitude toward self-assessment. Keywords: assessment, spoken interaction, speaking, attitude, self-confiden

    AUTHENTIC ASSESMENT IN MATHEMATICS INSTRUCTION MODEL BASED ON CONCEPTUAL CONFLICT

    Piaget (1985) states that in order to know whether children understood a concept we need to bring them into the situation where they can find a conflict of understanding, involving problem solving process. Asdar (2012) has developed a conceptual conflicts learning model in problem solving, Koncama. Koncama is a learning model based on conceptual conflict from the theory of cognitive conflict. As a model that has been developed in mathematics, implementing Koncama needs a support by authentic assessment to assess students’ performance in the class. Assessment in the learning model based cognitive conflict asses (1) understanding of concepts, (2) mathematics skill, (3) problem solving ability in mathematics, and (4) attitudes and beliefs. Therefore, three main components in the performance assessment developed, namely the performance task, the rubric of performance, and the method of assessment (scoring guidance). The developing task performance are collected in the portfolio of students’ performance that includes mathematics project tasks, investigation report (inquiry and problem solving), and a quiz.     THE EFFECT OF GOVERNMENT EXPENDITURE AND NUMBER OF POPULATION ON MAKASSAR CITY REGIONAL ORIGINAL INCOME

    This study aims to determine the effect of government spending and population on local revenue in Makassar City. The analysis method used in this research is multiple linear regression. Based on the results of the calculation of SPSS version 2.3, it shows that government spending has a positive and significant effect on Regional Original Income (PAD) in Makassar City, where the regression coefficient is 1.108 with a significant level of 0.011 (0.011 0.05). Meanwhile, the population has a negative and significant effect on Regional Original Income (PAD) in Makassar City, where the regression coefficient is -5.861 with a significant level of 0.003 (0.003 0.05)

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap peran pemerintah Kabupten Pangkajene dan Kepulauan dalam menangani sengketa pembebasan lahan rel Kerata Api Trans Sulawesi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan (feed kualitatif reserch), dengan pendekatan yuridis-normatif dan sosiologis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pustaka, observasi, dan wawancara dengan narasumber yang terkait, untuk selanjutnya dianalisis dan ditarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: peran Pemerintah Kabupaten Pangkajene dan Kepulauan, baik sebagai tim bentukan gubernur maupun dalam kapasitasnya sebagai kepala daerah, wajib mengupayakan penyelesaian sengketa pembebasan lahan rel Ketera Api Trans Sulawesi tanpa merugikan masyarakat pemilik lahan. Penggunaan beberapa metode penyelesaian permasalahan seperti konsiliasi, musyawarah, mediasi, dan konsinyasi harus diefektifkan, sehingga penyelasaian pembebasan lahan tidak berlarut-larut dan pontensi konflik ditengah-tengah masyarakat dapat diminimalisir.Kata Kunci: Lahan: Rel Kerera Api; Sengket

    Improving Children’s Cognitive Skills Through the Stone in Early Childhood

    This study aims to determine whether cognitive abilities be increased through stone media in early childhood. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether cognitive ability can be increased through stone media in Fathina Kindergarten. The subjects or informants of the study were children from the Fathina Kindergarten, Majene Regency, as many as 20 people. This research was carried out in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year, which took place from August to October and was carried out at Fathina Kindergarten, Majene Regency.  The Concept of addition and subtraction through stone media at Fathina Kindergarten, Majene Regency, is experimental classroom action research (CAR). Experimental classroom action research is classroom action research conducted by trying to apply various techniques/strategies effectively and efficiently in a teaching and learning process activity, in this case, through the assignment method. Based on the results of research that has been carried out in Group B of Fathina Kindergarten with 20 students, increasing the ability through stone media has increased with the percentage value of 80%. From the results of the Classroom Action Research conducted by the researcher, namely increasing the ability through stone media, it can increase in Group B in Fathina Kindergarten

    EFL Teachers’ Voice about the Pedagogical Competencies in Teaching English Grammar Context

    This research was focused on understanding pedagogical competence voiced by EFL teachers in teaching grammar context. The research was conducted in Makassar. This study was descriptive qualitative research that involved six teachers in Makassar as participants which chose randomly. The instrument of this research was an interview which was analyzed with a qualitative method. The result of the current study showed that four indicators including pedagogical competence owned by the teachers namely the competence in understanding the students’ need in learning grammar, competence in preparing teaching grammar, competence in choosing method and technique in teaching grammar, and competence in choosing assignment and evaluating the students’ outcome after learning grammar. This research would have a great theoretical and practical contribution to undergraduate students and future researchers in the English language department, especially students from the education department or candidates of teachers in terms of understanding pedagogical competence
