    Formation of adsorbate structures induced by external electric field in plasma-condensate systems

    We present a new model of plasma-condensate system, by taking into account an anisotropy of transference reactions of adatoms between neighbor layers of multi-layer system, caused by the strength of the electric field near substrate. We discuss an influence of the strength of the electric field onto first-order phase transitions and conditions for adsorbate patterning in plasma-condensate systems. It is shown that separated pyramidal-like multi-layer adsorbate islands can be formed in the plasma-condensate system if the strength of the electric field near substrate becomes larger tan the critical value, which depends on the interaction energy of adsorbate and adsorption coefficient.Comment: 8 pages, 8 figure

     The question of female agency has been one of the key issues in modern gender-related discourse, in all its spheres, directions and trends. In “Well-being, agency and freedom” Amartya Sen generally defines agency as referring to “what a person is free to do and achieve in pursuit of whatever goals or values he or she regards as important (203).” Emma Samman and Maria Emma Santos in their article “Agency and empowerment: A review of concepts, indicators and empirical evidence” define agency as “an actor’s or group’s ability to make purposeful choices.” (3) They explain further that agency is “strongly determined by people’s individual assets (such as land, housing, livestock, savings) and capabilities of all types: human (such as good health and education), social (such as social belonging, a sense of identity, leadership relations) and psychological (self-esteem, self-confidence, the ability to imagine and aspire to a better future), and by people’s collective assets and capabilities, such as voice, organization, representation and identity”. Key words: Female, agency, gender, identity, literature, Keny

    Anatomy of the leaf blades of Waldsteinia ternata (Stephan) Fritsch (Rosaceae) grown under different light conditions

    The paper reports the results of a comparative study of the anatomical structures of the leaf blades of Waldsteinia ternata grown under different light conditions in the Siberian Botanical Garden of Tomsk State University. Waldsteinia ternata is a tertiary nemoral relict from the mountains of southern Siberia, which is found in a limited number of taiga communities due to narrow environmental tolerance to various factors. The species remains poorly studied; comprehensive studies of the anatomical features of its leaves have not been performed on the territory of Russia. Leaves of W. ternata are dorsoventral and amphistomatous with anomocytic type stomata. The plants are classified as mesophytes. The relationship between the development of the anatomical structure of leaves and light conditions was revealed. The W. ternata plants grown in the sun showed an increased number of stomata and epidermal cells, an increased thickness of the leaf and mesophyll, and an increased number of cells of the upper and lower epidermis, that is, the plants exhibited heliophytic features of plant adaptation to good light conditions. At the same time, the vascular tissues of the plants grown in the sun were less developed, which reflected their adaptation to unfavorable water conditions. A number of relative indicators, such as the stomatal index of the lower epidermis, the ratio of the palisade to spongy mesophyll, and the ratio of xylem to phloem, did not change under different growth conditions. Thus, under different light and water conditions, W. ternata acquires helioxeromorphic or sciomesomorphic features

    36 Months Survivability And Its Predictors In Patients With Chronic Heart Failure And Decreased Fraction Of Left Ventricular Ejection Depending On Sex

    Aim of the work: to compare survivability parameters during 36 months and their predictors among men and women with chronic heart failure and decreased fraction of left ventricular ejection.Materials and methods: the research included 356 patients with CHF (NYHA ІІ –ІV) with decreased LVEF<40 %, 18–75 years old. Using Kaplan-Meier method, there was analyzed the survivability in men and women during 36 months, then there were analyzed independent factors that influenced survivability terms depending on sex using the multiple logistic regression.Results. Our analysis of the survivability of patients with CHF with decreased LVEF demonstrated that the cumulative survival after 3 years of observation was 49 and 51 % for men and women, respectively. The curves of 36 months survivability didn\u27t reliably differ. At the analysis of factors, associated with the bad prognosis, there were observed differences between groups of men and women with CHF. Thus, in men the predictors of 36 month survival were: the thickness of the right ventricle wall, size of the right atrium, end-diastolic volume and end-systolic volume of LV, indices of EDV and ESV of LV, urinary acid level, value of LVEF. In women the predictors of survivability during 3 years were the following parameters: BMI, DM type 2 in an anamnesis, end-diastolic size of LV, end-systolic size of LV, blood glucose level, LVEF.Conclusion. The survivability of men and women with CHF with decreased LVEF during 36 months didn\u27t reliably differ and was 49 and 51 % respectively. But predictors of the lethal outcome in men and women essentially differed during 36 months, and their number is essentially higher in men

    Application of Norwegian and Russian legislative basis during collaborative development of transboundary hydrocarbon fields

    The article deals with the investigation of legal and regulatory aspects for the development of transboundary oil and gas fields by Russia and Norway. A detailed analysis has been conducted on the Treaty between the Russian Federation and the Kingdom of Norway concerning maritime delimitation and cooperation in the Barents Sea and the Arctic Ocean in terms of its contents, legal obligations of the parties, and terms in use. The conceptual framework has been studied; Russian and Norwegian experience of development of different kinds of transboundary production fields has been described. A review on Russian and Norwegian legislation regarding the development of such fields has been presented. As a result, conclusions have been made and recommendations have been given on improvement of the legislation of the Russian Federation when developing transboundary hydrocarbon fields taking into account Russian and Norwegian experience.peer-reviewe
