Next-Generation SDN and Fog Computing: A New Paradigm for SDN-Based Edge Computing
In the last few years, we have been able to see how terms like Mobile Edge Computing, Cloudlets, and Fog computing have arisen as concepts that reach a level of popularity to express computing towards network Edge. Shifting some processing tasks from the Cloud to the Edge brings challenges to the table that might have been non-considered before in next-generation Software-Defined Networking (SDN). Efficient routing mechanisms, Edge Computing, and SDN applications are challenging to deploy as controllers are expected to have different distributions. In particular, with the advances of SDN and the P4 language, there are new opportunities and challenges that next-generation SDN has for Fog computing. The development of new pipelines along with the progress regarding control-to-data plane programming protocols can also promote data and control plane function offloading. We propose a new mechanism of deploying SDN control planes both locally and remotely to attend different challenges. We encourage researchers to develop new ways to functionally deploying Fog and Cloud control planes that let cross-layer planes interact by deploying specific control and data plane applications. With our proposal, the control and data plane distribution can provide a lower response time for locally deployed applications (local control plane). Besides, it can still be beneficial for a centralized and remotely placed control plane, for applications such as path computation within the same network and between separated networks (remote control plane)
The purpose of this study is to develop the contractual configuration timeshare property for tourist use in
its international projection. Both citizens and operators around the world are acquirers or transferors of
using timeshare property. It should be noted the great transformation, conducted by ICTs in the tourism
sector; they have removed geographical barriers and have increased the potential customer base that
until now could not hire certain services of specialized companies due to the distance factor therefore
tourist procurements via Internet has grown exponentially.
Another development is that despite the obvious regulatory fragmentation in this field, it must seek the
protection of tourists as consumers. Strengthen legal certainty along with the approximation of laws in
the different Member States, will allow ensure that tourists find the desired-earners and in no case
under existing handicaps reach foreign tourists
Perturbation theory for O(3) topological charge correlators
To check the consistency of positivity requirements for the two-point
correlation function of the topological charge density, which were identified
in a previous paper, we are computing perturbatively this two-point correlation
function in the two-dimensional O(3) model. We find that at the one-loop level
these requirements are fulfilled.Comment: v1: 27 pages, 7 figures; v2: 28 pages, 8 figures, matches published

Exploring opportunities from big data and the practice of human resources analytics
Big Dataren eta horri lotutako teknologien eklosioak
izugarri aldatu du erakundeen jarduteko modua. Aldaketa horrek,
batez ere, erakunde horiek —beren egitekoa eraginkortasunez garatzerakoan—
erabakiak hartzeko moduari eragiten dio. Zerbitzuen
ekoizpen- eta hornidura-sistemekin zerikusia duten erabakiak bideratzen
dira, beren onurak maximizatzeko, erabaki horiek hartzen baitira
datu-bolumen handi baten analisi konplexu batek ematen duen
ebidentziaren ondorioz. Data Driven Organizations moduan ezagutzen
dugun hori da. Giza Baliabideen Kudeaketaren eremua ez da
hortik kanpo gelditu, eta, pixkanaka, Human Resources Analytics
izenarekin, hainbat praktika garatzen hasi dira, datu-analisitik abiatuta
pertsonen gaineko erabakiak hartzean oinarritzen direnak. Administrazio
publikoek langileen kudeaketako prozesuen optimizazioan
sartu behar dute, analisiarekin sortzen diren ebidentzien bidez.
Lehenik, bere profesionalei helarazi behar diete zein den gaiaren
egoera, hurbilketa berri horiei dagokienez, eta, baita ere, gogoeta
egin behar dute hurbilketa analitiko horien ezarpenak administrazio

analíticas conllevan para las Administraciones PúblicasThe emergence of Big Data has led to an extraordinary
change in the way organizations work. This change fundamentally
affects the way in which they make decisions to effectively fulfil their
mission. The decisions now are driven by the evidence provided by
the complex analysis of a large volume of data. It is what is known
as the Data Driven Organizations. The field of Human Resources
Management has not been oblivious to this and, gradually, under
the name of Human Resources Analytics, a set of practices based
on making decisions about people based on data analysis begins to
be developed. Public administrations must also be incorporated into
the optimization of their employee management processes through
the evidence generated through analytics. A first step is to put its
professionals closer to the state of the art of these new approaches
and, also, to reflect on the opportunities and difficulties that the implementation
of these analytical approaches entail for public administration
Ray trace modeling in a solar secondary concentrator with various inlet shapes"
Current self-oscillations, spikes and crossover between charge monopole and dipole waves in semiconductor superlattices
Self-sustained current oscillations in weakly-coupled superlattices are
studied by means of a self-consistent microscopic model of sequential tunneling
including boundary conditions naturally. Well-to-well hopping and recycling of
charge monopole domain walls produce current spikes (high frequency modulation)
superimposed on the oscillation. For highly doped injecting contacts, the
self-oscillations are due to dynamics of monopoles. As the contact doping
decreases, a lower-frequency oscillatory mode due to recycling and motion of
charge dipoles is predicted. For low contact doping, this mode dominates and
monopole oscillations disappear. At intermediate doping, both oscillation modes
coexist as stable solutions and hysteresis between them is possible.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figure
Blended Learning for Competency Development: A Descriptive Analysis
paradigma blended learning. The development of the generic abilities that enable the professional to performance their

Teachers’ satisfaction as indicator of education system performance
We investigate the potential trade-off between some teacher characteristics, particularly teachers’ satisfaction, and different measures of pupils’ performance, in order to optimize the outputs of the Spanish education system. Our contribution to the existing literature is twofold: on the one hand, we provide estimates on the balance between teachers’ effectiveness and 4th grade students’ performance in Spain, by using recent survey data (TIMSS, 2011); on the other hand we implement a novel methodology which allows optimizing simultaneously a set of indicators on the outputs of the educational system. These analyses provide empirical evidence of the importance of investing in teacher satisfaction as a motivation mechanism for improving national educational achievement.Universidad de Málaga.
