Nonlinear response of superparamagnets with finite damping: an analytical approach

The strongly damping-dependent nonlinear dynamical response of classical superparamagnets is investigated by means of an analytical approach. Using rigorous balance equations for the spin occupation numbers a simple approximate expression is derived for the nonlinear susceptibility. The results are in good agreement with those obtained from the exact (continued-fraction) solution of the Fokker-Planck equation. The formula obtained could be of assistance in the modelling of the experimental data and the determination of the damping coefficient in superparamagnets.Comment: 7 PR pages, 2 figure

The aim of the study is to form consumption properties of a green sweet pepper sauce with a balanced content of macro- and microelements. Due to the use of Xanthium strumarium and chitosan a new product has high organoleptic properties that attract a consumer and increase its competitiveness at the market.Sweet green pepper that relates to most valuable vegetable cultures as to food value and taste was chosen as a main component of a sauce. For giving it a necessary consistence and for decreasing a time of thermal processing, there was used chitosan. According to results of the conducted studies, it was established, that among studied types of chitosan, advantages as to forming a consistence belongs to food acid-soluble chitosan with particle sizes up to 0,5 mm in amount 0,5 %.For preserving the natural green color, pepper fruits were preliminarily processed in 1 % decoction of Xanthium strumarium at temperature 75ºС during 15 min. For increasing its food value, the recipe was added with spicy-aromatic vegetable raw materials: garlic, dill, parsley, celery. The sauce quality was formed by mathematical modeling using general criteria of optimization of organoleptic parameters. There were also determined specific criteria of optimization of the recipe composition taking into account their daily need. As a result of the conducted studies the composition of recipe components for the sauce was optimized: sweet pepper 80 %, garlic leaves – 5 %, parsley leaves, dill – 5 %, celery leaves – 5 %, salt – 1,5 %, sugar – 0,5 %, chitosan – 0,5 %.There were studied organoleptic parameters of the developed sauce, characterized by a pleasant bright-green color, homogenous paste-like consistence, pleasant taste and smell. The used stabilizing factors allowed to get the sauce with the increased content of essential factors of nutrition. They participate in the increase of protective forces of the organism, so allow to recommend them in prophylactic, child and dietary nutrition

Results of in vitro study of thymol, a natural chemosensitizer, as a potential agent for overcoming of difenoconazole resistance of Parastagonospora nodorum causing glume and leaf blotch of wheat are first reported. The level of difenoconazole resistance of a natural mutant PNm1 strain with low sensitivity to the Dividend fungicide (a.i. difenoconazole) was determined by the cultivation of this isolate on potato dextrose agar in the presence of the fungicide at sub-lethal and lethal (in relation to the initial fungicide-sensitive strain) concentrations. A principal possibility of the thymol use to overcome resistance of P. nodorum to DMI (demethylation inhibitors) fungicides is shown. Co-application of this compound with Dividend SC, 3 % resulted in a significant reduction of resistance of the mutant strain and enhancement of its sensitivity to difenoconazole up to the level corresponding to the initial non-resistant isolate

    Get PDF
The primary strategic tasks for development of the Russian Federation and its regions are the increase of the level and quality of life and increase of the share of the middle class on the basis of modernization and restructuring the economy, the growth of entrepreneurial and innovative activities and competitiveness. For the solution of these problems the development of the consumer market should play an important role, performing important economic and social functions. In the article the results of the study of scientific views of foreign and national scientists on the category "consumer market" are shown from the perspective of the principle of historical and logical unity, theoretical and conceptual approaches to its formation and development are systematized, positive trends in its development are revealed; negative social consequences associated with excessive consumption growth and the formation of a consumer society are proved (violation of the ecological balance, people health aggravation, change of people’s attitudes). The necessity of government regulation of the consumer market on all the levels is proved (federal, regional and municipal) based on the prospective vision and its development strategy in the context of globalization, Russia's accession to WTO and the implementation of the sanctions against Russia by the United States, several European and Asian countries. As a methodological approach to solve identified problems on the regional level it is proposed to use the program-targeted regulation of the consumer market, which allows connecting the objectives with the resources and deadlines for their implementation by particular executives. Its use also allows authorities to develop alternative solutions for the tasks on the basis of the justification of priorities in the development of the consumer market and assessment of the risks associated with the implementation of program activities.peer-reviewe

Effect of Pr3+/Pr4+ ratio on the oxygen ion transport and thermomechanical properties of the pyrochlore and fluorite phases in the ZrO2-Pr2O3 system

    Get PDF
This paper examines the effect of the Pr3+/Pr4+ ratio on the mechanism of ionic and electronic transport in the (Pr2?xZrx)Zr2O7+x/2 (x = 0.15), Pr2Zr2O7, and Pr2(Zr2?xPrx)O7?x/2 (x = 0.1) pyrochlore phases and Pr3ZrOx with the fluorite structure and on the behavior of their thermal expansion coefficient (TEC). The solid solutions were prepared through coprecipitation followed by firing of the green compacts in air at a high temperature of 1550 ?C for 4 h. The Pr3+/Pr4+ ratio was shown to decrease in going from the (Pr2?xZrx)Zr2O7+x/2 (x = 0.15), Pr2Zr2O7, and Pr2(Zr2?xPrx)O7?x/2 (x = 0.1) pyrochlores to the Pr3ZrOx fluorite, leading to changes in the conductivity type from mixed (ionic?electronic) to electronic and in the color of the materials from beige to black and to an anomalous deviation of the TEC from linearity in fluorite Pr3ZrOx, i.e. at the highest Pr4+ content. According to impedance spectroscopy results, (Pr2?xZrx)Zr2O7+x/2 with x = 0.15 has purely oxide-ion conductivity (3 ? 10?3 S/cm at 1000 ?C) in a wide range of oxygen partial pressures: from 10?10 to 102 Pa. With increasing Pr content, p-type electronic conductivity becomes significant, reaching a maximum in fluorite Pr3ZrOx: ?0.5 S/cm at 1000 ?C. According to XPS data, all pyrochlore samples (Pr2?xZrx)Zr2O7+x/2 (x = 0.15), Pr2Zr2O7 and Pr2(Zr2?xPrx)O7?x/2 (x = 0.1) contain only Pr3+ at room temperature, whereas Pr3ZrOx contains both Pr3+ and Pr4+. The considerable deviation of the TEC of Pr3ZrOx from linearity above 500 ?C is due to partial reduction of Pr4+. The reduction process Pr4+ + e? ? Pr3+ followed by oxygen release in the range 500?1100 ?C has been identified in Pr3ZrOx by thermal analysis and mass spectrometry in a He atmosphere.371C-9F16-EBDE | Eduarda GomesN/

Postoperative complications have been a cardinal problem of reparative operations on the esophagus for many years. Attempts to make an artificial esophagus have frequently ended with anastomotic failure or pyoseptic complications, which is largely associated with significant metabolic disturbances in patients. The adequate preoperative and postoperative parenteral and enteral feeding programs developed at the Russian Surgery Research Center, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, show their considerable impact on the results of surgical activities. The paper gives a clinical example of the specific features of management of a female patient with an excess neck enteric graft loop after retrosternal enteric esophagoplasty.
