Erotismo en Homero (I)
As a stated in a passage of Dissertation XVIII, 8 by Maximus of Tyre (2nd c AD), summarizing what he describes as Homer’s eroticism, the article focuses on love as depicted in Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey, distinguishing godly love from love between gods and heroes, and love between heroes.
In this article we study the gardens, landscapes and pleasant places of the ancient greek literature, from Homer up to the byzantine authors, and we make a general typology of the greek gardens
In the following article the necessity of a thorough study of enantÃosis (mating of opposites) is put forward by the CH, following the modern semantic classifications of antonyms.
Communicating nationalism in a changing Europe: The media coverage of Catalan’s attempt at independence
Since 2008, Europe is immersed in a situation of political and social upheaval marked by, among other processes – such as the Brexit, the Scottish referendum on independence or the growth of new populist parties – , the strengthening of nationalism in Catalonia. In this context, the role of the media is crucial, since they are the main transmitters of what occurs abroad and, depending on how they present the information, a spread of pro-independence trends in regions with a historically strong nationalist sentiment throughout the continent can be more or less likely. In order to know the differences regarding the coverage of nationalism, this study applies a Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to the text present in the main article on the Catalan referendum of October 1st, 2017 published online by the most-read newspapers in Portugal, Switzerland, UK, Italy, Scotland and Northeast Italy. The analysis concludes that the media not only report differently depending on the characteristics of the territory where they operate, but also that some of them use the information as a tool to indoctrinate society
Impact of Tools on the Acquisition of RAM Memory
oai:conceptechint.conceptechint.net:article/12When responding to a security incident in a system, several basic principles must be followed regarding the collection of pieces of evidence from the system. The capture of these pieces of evidence has to be done according to its order of volatility. In this sense, RAM memory constitute the most important element to capture, given its extreme volatility. RAM memory must be acquired and analyzed because the data it holds, which may belong to the system itself or to any other device connected to it, can survive a certain amount of time in it. Since RAM is a constantly changing element, it must be stood out that any action carried on the system under analysis will modify the contents of the RAM. In this article a comparative and an objective analysis has been carried out, showing the impact that the execution of some tools for the capture of RAM has on the system. This comparative study details both the private shared workspaces, for each of the processes executed by each of the tools used
On the void explanation of the Cold Spot
The integrated Sachs-Wolfe (ISW) contribution induced on the cosmic microwave
background by the presence of a supervoid as the one detected by Szapudi et al.
(2015) is reviewed in this letter in order to check whether it could explain
the Cold Spot (CS) anomaly. Two different models, previously used for the same
purpose, are considered to describe the matter density profile of the void: a
top hat function and a compensated profile produced by a Gaussian potential.
The analysis shows that, even enabling ellipticity changes or different values
for the dark-energy equation of state parameter , the ISW contribution
due to the presence of the void does not reproduce the properties of the CS.
Finally, the probability of alignment between the void and the CS is also
questioned as an argument in favor of a physical connection between these two
phenomena
