Sillan kevennysputkien asennussuunnitelma ja kustannusseuranta

Tämä opinnäytetyö tehtiin Kreate Oy:lle, joka urakoi Helsingissä Kivikon eritasoliittymä vaihe 2 -urakkaa. Yhtenä osana urakkaa rakennetaan Viikin puistosilta, joka on 117 metriä pitkä jatkuva teräsbetoninen laattasilta. Kyseiseen kevyen liikenteen siltaan asennettiin 34 kappaletta kevennysputkia. Työn tavoitteena oli tehdä asennussuunnitelma kevennysputkien asentamisesta. Tällä pyritään helpottamaan asennustyötä tässä kyseisessä projektissa sekä mahdollisissa tulevissa hankkeissa. Samalla työvaiheista pidettiin kustannusseurantaa, jolloin saatiin tietää, mitä kevennysputkien asentaminen maksaa. Tätä tietoa voidaan hyödyntää jatkossa urakkalaskentavaiheessa. Insinööritoimisto TAK-Plan Ky laati kevennysputkien tuenta- ja ankkurointisuunnitelman. Asennussuunnitelmaan saatiin ohjeita työnjohtajilta ja työntekijöiltä, jotka ovat asentaneet kevennysputkia aikaisemmin. Työn tuloksena syntyi tekninen asennussuunnitelma. Sillan rakenne tai kevennysputket voivat olla erilaisia, jolloin tässä kohteessa käytetyt menetelmät eivät välttämättä toimi. Asennussuunnitelmaa on kuitenkin helppo muokata eri kohteisiin sopivaksi, mutta asennussuun-nitelma on kuitenkin hyväksytettävä tilaajalla. Tuloksena saatiin myös kevennysputkien asennuksen ja tarvikkeiden hinta. Saatuja hintoja ei voi välttämättä käyttää suoraan laskennassa vaan työ- ja tarvikehinnat on muutettava sen hetkisten hintojen mukaisiksi. Tuntiseurantaa voidaan hyödyntää myös aikataulusuunnittelussa.This Bachelor’s thesis was made for Kreate Oy which is contracted to build an interchange phase 2 works in Helsinki Kivikko. One part of the contract is to build a park bridge in Viikki, which is a 117-meter long reinforced concrete slab bridge. Furthermore, 34 pieces of relief pipes were installed in the pedestrian pathways bridge. The objective of this thesis was to make an installation plan for relief pipes. The aim is to ease the installation work in this project and also in future projects. The work stages of the project were cost-monitored. The purpose of cost monitoring was to estimate the budget of the installation works. In future this information can be used in calculating the project costs. Insinööritoimisto TAK-Plan Ky prepared a plan for installation work. Foremen and workers who have previously installed the relief pipes gave advice on making the installation plan. As a result of this thesis, a technical installation plan was created. The bridge structure or relief pipes can be different in every worksite and therefore, this system may not work in future worksites. However, the installation plan is easy to customize but the installation plan must be approved by the client. As a result, prices for the installation work of relief pipes and supplies were calculated. The calculated prices cannot, however, be used in the future without changing them into current market values. The monitoring of work hours can also be used in scheduling

Salivary diagnostics in periodontology : Salivary biomarkers in relation to periodontal status

Periodontitis is an infection-driven inflammatory disease affecting tooth-supporting tissues, i.e., the periodontium. Whole saliva, an easily obtained specimen, is attractive to be used in diagnosis of periodontitis with/without clinical examination. The aim of this PhD work was to investigate the presence and levels of various salivary biomarkers of infection, inflammation, and tissue degradation. This PhD study consisted of salivary specimens from two different study populations: a subsample of the national Health 2000 survey (n = 220) and the Parogene cohort study (n = 445/455). Phospholipid transfer protein (PLTP) activity and salivary concentrations of a chemokine (interleukin (IL)-8), cytokines (IL-1β, ¬17A, -23, lymphotoxin-˜ (LTA)), myeloperoxidase (MPO), and bone remodeling¬related biomarkers (RANK-ligand, osteoprotegerin, osteocalcin, and osteopontin) were examined. The pre-existing data included clinical and radiographic oral examinations, Cumulative Risk Score (CRS), subgingival bacterial detection, saliva and serum lipopolysaccharide (LPS) activity, saliva and serum antibodies against selected bacteria, glycemic status, risk haplotype of human major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class III, and LTA gene polymorphisms. Salivary PLTP activity was lowest in individuals with advanced tooth loss. LPS activity in saliva was associated with high CRS, while IL-1°, IL-17A, and IL-23 concentrations varied depending on clinical periodontal status. There were associations between salivary IL-8 concentrations and bleeding on probing, probing pocket depth, and the number of teeth, and between MPO concentrations and alveolar bone loss. Bone remodeling-related biomarkers in saliva were either affected by glycemic status or detected at very low levels. CRS associated strongly with subgingival microbial profile and high levels of antibodies against five periodontal pathogens, and additionally, with elevated values of bleeding on probing, probing pocket depth, alveolar bone loss, and number of teeth. MPO was the only biomarker associating with the MHC class III risk haplotype of periodontitis. LTA concentration in saliva associated with LTA gene variants. The results of this PhD study suggest that IL-1°, IL-17A, MPO, and CRS are potential salivary biomarkers to be used in large-scale studies where the aim is to indicate the presence or progression/remission of periodontitis.Parodontiitin sylkidiagnostiikka: Syljen biologisten markkereiden yhteys parodontaalistatukseen Parodontiitti on hampaan kiinnityskudoksiin vaikuttava infektiolähtöinen tulehduksellinen sairaus. Helposti kerättävä kokosylki on yksi mielenkiintoisimmista näytteistä käytettäväksi parodontiitin diagnostiikan tukena. Tämän työn tavoitteena oli tutkia useiden infektiota, inflammaatiota ja kudostuhoa kuvaavien merkkiaineiden esiintymistä ja pitoisuutta syljessä. Väitöskirjatyön sylkinäytteet ovat peräisin kahdesta eri tutkimusväestöstä: otos (n = 220) Terveys 2000 -tutkimuksesta ja Parogene-kohorttitutkimuksen aineisto (n = 445/455). Syljestä tutkittiin fosfolipidiä siirtävän proteiinin (PLTP) aktiivisuutta sekä kemokiinin (interleukiini (IL)-8), neljän sytokiinin (IL-1β, -17A, -23, lymfotoksiini-˜ (LTA)), myeloperoksidaasin (MPO) ja neljän luumetaboliaan liittyvän merkkiaineen (RANK-ligandi, osteoprotegeriini, osteokalsiini, osteo¬pontiini) pitoisuutta. Käytettävissä oli suun kliininen ja röntgenologinen tutkimusdata sekä tiedot yhdistelmämerkkiaineeseen (CRS) perustuvasta parodontaalistatuksesta, subgingivaalisista bakteereista, syljen ja seerumin lipopolysakkaridin (LPS) aktiivisuudesta, syljen ja seerumin tietyistä bakteerivasta-aineista, sokeritasapainosta, ihmisen MHC-kompleksin luokan III riskihaplotyypistä sekä LTA-geenin polymorfismeista. Syljen PLTP-aktiivisuus oli matalin tutkituilla, joilla oli eniten menetettyjä hampaita. LPS-aktiivisuus ja korkea CRS olivat yhteydessä toisiinsa, kun taas kliininen parodontaalistatus liittyi syljen IL-1β-, IL-17A-ja IL-23-pitoisuuksiin. Ienverenvuodolla, taskusyvyyksillä ja hampaiden lukumäärällä oli yhteys syljen IL-8-pitoisuuteen ja MPO-pitoisuudella lisäksi horisontaaliseen alveoliluukatoon. Verensokeritasapaino vaikutti osaan luumetaboliaan liittyvistä merkkiaineista, kun taas osa löytyi hyvin matalina pitoisuuksina. CRS yhdistyi merkittävästi subgingivaaliseen bakteeriprofiiliin ja kohonneisiin parodontopatogeenien vasta-ainepitoisuuksiin, sekä lisääntyneeseen ienverenvuotoon, syviin ientaskuihin, alveoliluukatoon ja hampaiden menetyksiin. Syljen MPO-pitoisuus yhdistyi MHC¬kompleksin luokan III riskihaplotyyppiin ja LTA LTA geenivariantteihin. Tämän väitöskirjatutkimuksen tulosten perusteella voidaan esittää, että IL-1β, IL-17A, MPO ja CRS ovat potentiaalisia syljen biologisia merkkiaineita käytettäväksi laajoissa väestötutkimuksissa parodontiitin toteamiseksi

Analyysi Euroopan Keskuspankin pääjohtajista : kuinka EKP:n rahapolitiikka on muuttunut ja mikä rooli pääjohtajilla on Euroalueen tulevaisuuden muokkaamisessa?

This thesis aims at researching the recent history of the EMU and the monetary policy shift of the ECB in addition to its presidents roles in shaping the economy. This thesis will provide background information on the economic constitution of the EMU and how it has transformed over the course of Euro crisis and the years after. Additionally, the monetary policy actions of the ECB amongst Euro crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic will be studied. I argue that by transitioning to an expansionary monetary policy earlier than originally happened, some of the more severe economic impacts of the Euro crisis could have been prevented and it would not have led to a lost decade for the growth of the Eurozone. Additionally, I argue that the central bankers' implications for molding our future is enormous as it is clear that market actors react to their statements. My research questions are as follows: What problems or flaws have been identified within the EMU and how could they be improved? What are the presidents’ implications and effects on influencing the economy? Furthermore, how has the shift of the ECB monetary policy from hawks to doves happened over the years? This thesis utilizes critical discourse analysis in researching the materials, which comprise of the presidents annual hearings before the Plenary of the European Parliament, with the exclusion of the last nominated president as she has only been through one. In her case, quarterly Economic and Monetary Committee hearings will be utilized. The key findings suggest that the ECB presidents have viewed the EMU flawed and have emphasized the completion of the union as too much responsibility has been left for the ECB. The call for more fiscal capacity is repetitive for all three presidents. Furthermore, this research also suggests that the shift from hawks to doves happened because no other way was seen. Additionally, the roles of central bankers have been heightened during the recent history and it shows that they have a great influence on the economy based on the reactions by the market actors and the public

Sexuality education in Finland:current perspectives and challenges

Abstract. This Bachelor’s thesis is about sexuality education in Finland and current topics relating to sexuality education and the challenges these topics present. Sexuality education, encompassed in health education, is an important subject, since the objective of it is to provide pupils with tools to take care of not only their own health but to function in society respecting each other. Sexuality education is a part of the Finnish curriculum, meaning that it will reach everyone still in compulsory education. Sexuality education is taught during all grades, integrated to different subjects depending on the age of the pupils. This Bachelor’s thesis presents the different stages of the development of sexuality education in Finland, and how sexuality education is executed. This literature review also discusses current topics in relation to sexuality (questions relating to gender, the diversity of sexualities, increasing cultural diversity, sexual misconduct and harassment, and the sexualization of society), and explores how they and the possible challenges they create are considered in sexuality education in Finland. Also, the importance of acknowledging these topics is discussed.Tiivistelmä. Tämä kandidaatintutkielma käsittelee seksuaalikasvatusta Suomessa, ajankohtaisia seksuaalikasvatuksen osa-alueita sekä niiden tuomia haasteita. Terveystieto sekä sen osa-alueena seksuaalikasvatus ovat tärkeitä oppiaineita, sillä niiden tavoitteena on tarjota oppilaille tiedot ja taidot huolehtia paitsi omasta terveydestään, myös toimia yhteiskunnassa muita kunnioittaen. Seksuaalikasvatus on osa Suomen perusopetuksen opetussuunnitelmaa, tavoittaen koko oppivelvollisen väestön. Seksuaalikasvatusta opetetaan eri luokilla eri aineisiin integroituna, luokka-asteesta riippuen. Tässä kandidaatintutkielmassa esitellään Suomen seksuaalikasvatuksen kehittymisen vaiheita, sekä sitä, kuinka seksuaalikasvatusta toteutetaan Suomessa. Tässä kirjallisuuskatsauksessa käsitellään myös ajankohtaisia seksuaalisuuteen liittyviä aiheita (sukupuoleen liittyvät kysymykset, seksuaalisuuden monimuotoisuus, lisääntyvä kulttuurien moninaisuus, seksuaalinen häirintä, sekä yhteiskunnan seksualisoituminen), ja tarkastellaan niiden myötä mahdollisesti aiheutuvia haasteita, sekä sitä, miten kyseiset aiheet otetaan seksuaalikasvatuksessa huomioon. Now you see it:using short films as a sexuality education medium to address gendered and sexualized violence

Abstract. A healthy sexuality is an integral part of one’s overall well-being. Sexuality education, while very important, often is ignored, even though pupils, parents, and teachers all regard school as an important source for sexuality education. As the understanding of the importance of sexuality on identity and the intersection with other aspects of identity increases, examining the contents of sexuality education is necessary. In the recent years sexualized and gendered violence towards women has been the topic for international discussions through campaigns like #metoo and #textmewhenyougethome. Sexuality education about recognizing and combatting sexualised and gendered violence is necessary to ensure every young person has the tools and knowledge to maintain their sexual health to the best of their ability. Understanding the phenomenon also requires understanding about societal power structures and tools to deconstruct them. In the aftermath of these widespread conversations, agents have produced material with the objective to increase understanding about sexualised and gendered violence. One of these is the Now You See It-film collective consisting of 11 freely accessible short films about sexualised and gendered violence and discussion material to help reflecting on the themes presented in the films. The collective has been produced by a Finnish production company, Tuffi Films, and includes many contributors such as the Finnish National Agency for Education. In this master’s thesis I will be analysing the depiction of the various traits of sexualised and gendered violence in the short film Girl Thing, a part of the Now You See It-film collective. I will also be analysing the suitability of the film and the accompanying discussion material in the context of sexuality education: is the material aligned with the educational objectives and hopes of sexuality education, and does it have the potential to help achieve them? This research is a film analysis that combines aspects of qualitative content analysis as well as discourse analysis. The theoretical framework consists of queer theory and feminist pedagogy as they are aligned with the deconstructive and emancipatory objectives of the film collective and can offer a beneficial framework for sufficient and equitable sexuality education. The research also examines some educational guidelines and curricular content to guide the analysis of the suitability of the material for sexuality education.Yksittäistapaus : lyhytelokuvien käyttö seksuaalikasvatuksen materiaalina seksualisoituneen ja sukupuolistuneen väkivallan käsittelyssä. Tiivistelmä. Terve seksuaalisuus on tärkeä osa ihmisen kokonaisvaltaista hyvinvointia. Tärkeydestään huolimatta seksuaalikasvatus jää usein sivuun, vaikka sekä oppilaat, opettajat, että vanhemmat pitävät seksuaalikasvatusta tärkeänä ja koulua tärkeänä seksuaalikasvatuksen tarjoajana. Kun ymmärrys seksuaalisuuden merkityksestä identiteettiin ja sen osa-alueisiin kuten sukupuoleen, kasvaa uuden tutkimuksen sekä tiedon paremman levittäytymisen kautta, on seksuaalikasvatuksen sisältöjen tarkastelu tarpeen. Viime vuosina naisiin kohdistunut sukupuolistunut ja seksualisoitunut väkivalta on noussut esiin kansainvälisiin keskusteluihin esimerkiksi ”metoo- ja #textmewhenyougethome- kampanjoiden myötä. Seksuaalikasvatusta seksualisoituneen ja sukupuolistuneen väkivallan tunnistamiseen ja siihen puuttumiseen tarvitaan, jotta jokainen nuori pystyisi huoltamaan omaa seksuaaliterveyttään parhaansa mukaan. Ilmiön ymmärtäminen ja siihen puuttuminen vaatii myös ymmärrystä yhteiskunnallisten valtarakenteiden muodostumisesta sekä työkaluja niiden purkamiseen. Kansainvälisen keskustelun luoman keskustelun myötä erilaiset toimijat ovatkin tuottaneet uutta materiaalia, jonka tavoitteena on lisätä ymmärrystä seksualisoituneesta ja sukupuolistuneesta väkivallasta. Eräs tällainen toimija on Yksittäistapaus-filmikollektiivi, joka koostuu 11 lyhytelokuvasta, jotka käsittelevät seksualisoitunutta ja sukupuolistunutta väkivaltaa sekä keskustelumateriaalista, jonka avulla elokuvien teemoja puretaan ja reflektoidaan. Tässä pro gradu -tutkielmassa analysoin Yksittäistapaus-elokuvasarjan yhden lyhytelokuvan, Tyttöbileet, kuvausta seksualisoituneesta ja sukupuolistuneesta väkivallasta sekä sen esiin tuomista seksualisoituneen ja sukupuolistuneen väkivallan piirteistä. Analysoin myös elokuvan ja keskustelumateriaalin soveltuvuutta seksuaalikasvatuksen kontekstissa; onko materiaali linjassa seksuaalikasvatuksen kasvatuksellisten tavoitteiden ja toiveiden kanssa, ja auttaako se toteuttamaan niitä? Tutkimus on laadullisen sisältöanalyysin ja diskurssianalyysin piirteitä yhdistelevä filmianalyysi. Teoreettisena viitekehyksenä toimii queer-teoria sekä feministinen pedagogiikka, sillä ne ovat vahvasti linjassa Yksittäistapaus-kollektiivin dekonstruktiivisten ja emansipatoristen tavoitteiden kanssa, ja voivat tarjota hyödyllisen viitekehyksen laadukkaan ja tasa-arvoisen seksuaalikasvatuksen toteuttamiseen. Tutkimuksessa on hyödynnetty myös opetussuunnitelmaa sekä muita kasvatuksellisia oppaita liittyen seksuaalikasvatukseen, jotta tavoitteiden ja seksuaalikasvatuksen toteutuksen analysointi mahdollistuu
