Topology optimization of Shell Eco-Marathon vehicle door opening and locking system in PLM environment

In order to design the hinges and opening system of the Shell Eco-Marathon vehicle, an analytic analysis of door opening performance has to be done, in order to firstly decide what type of opening is the most suitable, and later arrive an agreement between the parts and the opening system that will hold the door open. At this moment topology optimization software is a very promising tool that gives the opportunity to designers to achieve final designs very efficiently. However, it needs some post-processing so as to achieve a very easy and manufacturable, hence, cheap, design. While the project has been developed, some new ideas have come to it and some of them analysed in deepness, while others have not been integrally developed but they have neither been discarded, as a further study is required in order to assure they are not a better solution than the one proposed.Outgoin

Plan de ordenamiento territorial preliminar : litoral de Río Negro, Argentina

Para la generación de un Plan de Ordenamiento territorial preliminar del Litoral de Río Negro se requiere seguir una metodología de trabajo de acuerdo a las siguientes actividades: capacitación de técnicos y profesionales de la administración pública (especialmente dirigido a la formulación de programas y proyectos ambientales), viabilidad y utilidad de estudios de impacto ambiental e integración y coordinación ínter administrativa. En segunda instancia se determina el área de estudio, la que se describe en cuanto a sus aspectos físicos naturales y en cuanto al medio antrópico (población, asentamientos, infraestructura regional y turismo). La metodología utilizada para el Plan de OT preliminar se basa en el método sintético de identificación de unidades integrales de paisaje. Para su definición se relevan en campo datos del medio físico, biológico y antrópico. Se segmenta el área de estudio para determinar unidades ambientales y unidades del paisaje presentes, se clasifican las unidades geoambientales dando lugar a una cartografía sintética y luego a una analógica. Las unidades obtenidas permiten identificar los principales conflictos y problemáticas ambientales, que son la guía utilizada para definir los criterios de ordenamiento del territorio. Toda esta información fue finalmente introducida a un SIG, dando lugar a las bases cuali y cuantitativas para plantear el Plan de ordenamiento territorial y propuestas de normativas a seguir.For the description of a Territorial Management Plan of the Coastal Region of Río Negro technicians and professional training, environmental impact studies feasibility and usefulness and administrative integration and coordination is required. The methodology required is based in the synthetic method of landscape integral unities identification. For its definition, physical, biological and anthropic media data are surveyed in field. The area of study is divided into segments to determine environmental and landscape units present, the geo-environmental units are classified giving rise to a synthetic cartography and then to an analogical one. The units obtained let identify the main conflicts and environmental problems which are the guide used to define the Territorial Management criteria. Broadening the possibilities of reformulating a project in oldage: a proposal of approach

This work consists of the preparation of a guiding proposal framed in the work in mental health with older adults, destined to promote and accompany the reformulation of the identification project (Aulagnier, 1991) within a group device. We start with a critical review of the concepts and conceptions that have consolidated certain ways of understanding both old age and the processes that surround it, and then position ourselves in a complex perspective that encourages innovative and stimulating proposals for working with older adults. This work refers specifically to the orientative work framed in groupality and joint participation, mediated by the transversality of the developments in psychology and psychoanalysis, which allow to generate new tools in the strengthening of Mental Health in the elderly. This conceptual and reflective exercise decided in a proposal presented to the management of a Day Center for Older Adults of the city of La Plata in 2017, which sought to promote a new way of approaching workshops of stimulation and activities that produce subjective changes through participation, historicization and creativity. This same elaborated proposal will be retaken here as an exponent of the convergence between an ethical positioning in front of old age and the proposal of an innovative approach for the development of stimulating activities in an institution.Facultad de Psicologí

Impacts of Crop Residue on Damage by Sugarcane Pests during the Tillering Phase in Argentina

One of the most important recent changes in sugarcane cultural practices in Tucumán, Argentina, is the adoption of the practice of green-cane harvesting, which involves harvesting the sugarcane crop in the absence of burning. The objective of this study was to assess the impact of the post-harvest crop residue (also sometimes known as "trash blanket") on Elasmopalpus lignosellus (Zeller) (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) and Pseudaletia unipuncta Haworth (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) population dynamics in sugarcane. The study was conducted in ratoon crops for 3 growing seasons (2011, 2012, and 2013) and at 3 locations in the state of Tucumán, Argentina. The treatments consisted of rows with the crop residue burned and the crop residue retained. Removal of the crop residue by burning, compared with retention, resulted in significantly greater crop damage by E. lignosellus in all locations and years. In contrast, damage by P. unipuncta was observed exclusively on plots where crop residue was retained. Comparing the pest status of 2 insects, E. lignosellus seems to be more consistently deleterious to sugarcane yield than P. unipuncta, and chemical control of this species is not very effective. Therefore, leaving the crop residue in place seems to be the most appropriate crop management approach, although it is important also to monitor P. unipuncta populations in order to implement control should it be necessary.Fil: Isas, Marcos Gerardo.
