Los principios de la fotografía para primer grado de educación secundaria en Colombia

El objetivo fundamental de este estudio es profundizar en la importancia de la imagen dentro de los currícula de artes de secundaría en Colombia, y plantear así la necesidad de una formación que capacite para la construcción apropiada de un lenguaje y expresión visual. Para ello se reflexiona desde la fotografía como medio en el que se pretende, tras una breve descripción de las variables y teorías que operan sobre el objeto de estudio, rescatar sus cualidades como recurso didáctico y plantear una propuesta educativa que asuma aprendizajes concretos.The fundamental aim of this study is to explore in depth the importance of images within the arts curriculum of secondary education in Colombia, and thus address the need for education which enables appropriate construction of a visual language and expression. To this end, following a brief description of the variables and theories related to the subject matter, the study reflects on photography with a view to rescuing its qualities as a didactic resource and it sets forth an educational proposal which aims for specific learning outcomes

De Analogia a Digitalia

La transformación hacia la tecnología numérica ha provocado en el último decenio cambios importantes en los entornos de creación, operación, transformación y distribución de productos audiovisuales. Los restos de la era analógica están dando sus últimos estertores de la mano de unos entornos digitales, desarrollados velozmente. Estos nuevos equipos son en la mayoría de los casos prototipos. La velocidad del mercado, la competencia, las joint-ventures..., no permiten ningún tipo de relajo a las empresas tecnológicas que participan en esta carrera desenfrenada de competitividad. Las maquinarias dedicadas a procesos puntuales, cada vez más, son historias para el recuerdo. Hoy todo es efímero y la tecnología de antaño basada en equipos mecánicos (magnetoscopios...), plataformas y soportes lineales (cintas...) están abocados a la desaparición. Por otra parte, conceptos de solvencia empresarial tales como “los grandes y los pequeños”, utilizados en otros ámbitos de la industria, son en el sector audiovisual cada vez más delicados. En los diarios económicos podemos leer como, con cierta asiduidad, empresas muy posicionadas en el sector se ven abocadas a establecer fusiones, compras y participaciones, con pequeñas células de creación y desarrollo que surgen de la creatividad de jóvenes emprendedores, hasta ayer desconocidos. La era digital está corriendo un enorme telón y deja atrás, por suerte, una etapa analógica en la que la posesión de los medios de producción, debido a sus costes, era motivo suficiente para negar la participación y el acceso, a equipos tecnológicos audiovisuales de carácter profesional, a los creadores. Hoy, lo digital proporciona nuevos sistemas con entornos productivos más amables a la vez que reduce considerablemente coste de los equipamientos. En este momento, despojados ya de los inconvenientes analógicos, el talento es el verdadero motor de la industria audiovisual, en un sector que aglutina tecnología, creatividad y contenidos.The transition towards binary-based technology has unleashed dramatic changes that in the last decade have affected the different stages involved in an audiovisual production: from scripting and creating a project, through the various technological procedures of the actual production process to its final distribution. The remains of the analogical era are finally sinking under a seemingly unstoppable wave of constantly evolving new digital environments. The new hardware devices used in this field are mainly prototypes. An ever evolving market, the constant arising of new competitors, newborn joint-ventures and a myriad of related facts force technology providers to keep a pace of constant updating in a mad race of fierce competition. The old system which implied one machine for each process is increasingly becoming a memory of the past. Today new devices are being launched at such a speed that the oldtechnological approach which dealt with mechanical appliances like magnetoscopes, closed platforms and linear recording are already bound for extinction. It’s only natural then that the sacred cows of the industry fear for their position. Big and small are elusive concepts in this new audiovisual frenzy. Its almost daily routine to read about big audiovisual corporations announcing mergers, buy-outs or the acquisition of a stake in new and small creativity and development firms built from scratch by young entrepreneurs out of the blue. The digital era is drawing a heavy curtain that luckily leaves behind an analogical era in which the ownership of the costly means of production was the most important card in the game. The artist could only exercise its art if access to the professional team and technical equipment required for an audiovisual work was granted by its proprietors. Today, digital means new systems with far more productive environments which besides are user-friendly and cost only a small fraction of the old hardware. Right now, with analogical objections increasingly a thing of the past, talent emerges as the new czar running the audiovisual industry, a professional field that combines like few others technology, creativity and contents

Comparing community detection algorithms in graphs

[Abstract] The detection of communities in graphs has been a very discussed topic in recent years due to the raise of social networks. This topic is not a simple one, and as such, many different solutions have been proposed over the years to try and find communities in these networks. In this project we compare the results of different community detection algorithms when applied to a real live graph. This comparison is made using a set of quality metrics that will give us information of the algorithm’s performance. With this information at hand we have seen that these algorithms perform very differently from each other and that the graph to which they are applied is a very important part in the results they return.[Resumo] A detección de comunidades en grafos foi un tema moi discutido nos últimos anos debido ao auxe das redes sociais. Este tema de estudo non é sinxelo, e por iso propuxéronse moitas solucións diferentes ao longo dos anos para tratar de atopar comunidades nestas redes. Neste proxecto comparamos os resultados de diferentes algoritmos de detección de cando se aplican a un grafo real. Esta comparación realízase empregando un conxunto de métricas de calidade que nos darán información do rendemento dos algoritmos. Coa informacion obtida, vimos que estes algoritmos teñen un comportamento moi distinto entre si e que o grafo ao que se aplican é unha parte moi importante nos resultados que devolven.Traballo fin de grao. National strategic impact on the implementation of scientific expeditions to Antarctica

Habilidades del Siglo XXI y el Aula de Inglés como Lengua Extranjera: Un Llamado para Generar Mayor Conciencia en Colombia

The 21st century demands the explicit integration of learning strategies, digital competences and career abilities. Schools in general and EFL classrooms in particular should provide students with practices and processes focused on acquiring and developing, among other things, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, self-direction, and cross-cultural skills. In this regard, the Partnership for 21st Century Skills (2007) argues for the explicit integration of learning and innovation skills, information, media and digital literacy skills, and life and career skills. Despite its relevance, a basic review of Colombian scholarly publications suggests that little has been done in order to infuse the EFL class with some of these ideas. Consequently, this paper seeks to inform and motivate Colombian EFL teachers to incorporate meaningful and intellectually stimulating alternatives that allow students not just to learn English, but more importantly to understand complex perspectives, use multiple media and technologies, and work creatively with others.El siglo XXI exige la integración explícita de estrategias de aprendizaje, competencias digitales y habilidades profesionales. Las escuelas en general y las aulas de inglés como lengua extranjera en particular deben proporcionar a los estudiantes prácticas y procesos centrados en la adquisición y el desarrollo de creatividad,  pensamiento crítico, colaboración, auto-dirección, habilidades interculturales, entre otras cosas. En este sentido, la Asociación para las habilidades del siglo XXI (2007) abogó por la integración explícita de habilidades de aprendizaje e innovación, habilidades de información, medios y tecnología y habilidades para la vida y la profesión. A pesar de su relevancia, una revisión básica de revistas académicas colombianas sugirió que poco se ha hecho para infundir algunas de estas ideas en la clase de inglés como lengua extranjera. En consecuencia, este artículo busca informar y motivar a los profesores de inglés colombianos para que incorporen alternativas significativas e intelectualmente estimulantes que les permitan a los estudiantes no solo aprender inglés sino particularmente comprender perspectivas complejas, hacer uso de múltiples medios y tecnologías y trabajar de forma creativa con los demás

Efficient multitemporal change detection techniques for hyperspectral images on GPU

Hyperspectral images contain hundreds of reflectance values for each pixel. Detecting regions of change in multiple hyperspectral images of the same scene taken at different times is of widespread interest for a large number of applications. For remote sensing, in particular, a very common application is land-cover analysis. The high dimensionality of the hyperspectral images makes the development of computationally efficient processing schemes critical. This thesis focuses on the development of change detection approaches at object level, based on supervised direct multidate classification, for hyperspectral datasets. The proposed approaches improve the accuracy of current state of the art algorithms and their projection onto Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) allows their execution in real-time scenarios

El transmisor cotidiano. Miedos, esperanzas, frustraciones y confusión en los rumores de una pequeña ciudad de provincias durante el primer franquismo

El artículo muestra como la propaganda constituyó uno de los pilares constitutivos del nuevo Estado franquista surgido tras la guerra civil al igual que lo había sido en los regímenes fascistas surgidos en la Europa de entreguerras. Para ello se ha utilizado un elemento raramente utilizado en los estudios sobre propaganda como son los informes de rumores y se ha escogido un marco cronológico y espacial reducido a fin de mostrar como la Historia Local puede ser una excelente herramienta para el conocimiento en profundidad del régimen franquista y su contexto histórico.This article focuses on how propaganda constituted was one of the most relevant mainstays of the new francoist state arosed after the Spanish Civil War, just like it had been in fascists states evolved in Europe during the period between the wars. In order to achieve this objective we have used an element hardly ever exploited in the studies related to propaganda like for example reports on rumors and it has been chosen a restricted chronological and spatial framework with the aim of showing how Local History may be an excellent implement so as to improve the knowledge of the francoist state and his historical context

Introducción al concepto de cláusulas arbitrales abusivas
