Ainsi, la mission principale de mon stage a été l'assistance au développement d'offres de services de conseil autour d'un nouvel domaine technologique : le « Machine to Machine » (M2M). Très brièvement – car la présentation détaillée de ces technologies sera objet du chapitre 3.2 – le M2M est l’association d’objets communicants qui interagissent avec un serveur centrale sans intervention humaine

Ensemble inequivalence in long-range interacting systems

However, a key assumption behind this result is that interactions in the system are short-range. When interactions are long-range, ensemble equivalence cannot be taken for granted. In this TFG, a simplified self-gravitating system is studied as an example of long-range interacting systems. Novel insights into NK cell/leukemia molecular interactions and possible tools to potentiate the anti-leukemia NK cell activity

Natural killer (NK) cells are extremely promising for cellular antitumor therapy in terms of efficacy and safety, particularly in the control of hematological malignancies. The aim of this thesis was to provide deeper insights on receptor/ligand leukemia interactions and investigate possible tools to enhance the NK cell anti-leukemia activity. Two clinical contexts of haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (haplo-HSCT) were under evaluation 1) \u3b1\u3b2T-cell and B-cell depleted haplo-HSCT in pediatric leukemia patients, and 2) haplo-HSCT with post-transplant cyclophosphamide (PT-Cy) in adult AML patients. Regarding the first platform, we tested the in vitro effect of different NK cell engagers (NKCEs), which can trigger either NKp46 or NKp30 together with CD16A, and target either CD19 or CD20 to induce killing of pediatric B cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (BCP-ALL). We used as target cells different BCP-ALL cell lines and primary leukemias, and as effector cells resting NK cells derived from healthy donors and pediatric leukemia patients after \u3b1\u3b2T/B-depleted haplo-HSCT. The NKCEs potentiated the killing of NK-cell resistant BCP-ALL cells and enhanced the degranulation and cytokine production of NK cells. These data strongly support the therapeutic use of NKp46/CD16A/CD19-NKCE to fight relapsed/refractory leukemia in pre- or post-transplantation setting. Regarding the other platform, we investigated the phenotype of NK cells after transplantation, and we evaluated the effect of immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI), targeting NKG2A, to unleash NK-cell activity against leukemia. The data pave the way for the use of an anti-NKG2A antibody (as Monalizumab) at early-time points after transplantation to enhance the anti-leukemia activity of NK cells

L’ús del verí en el medi natural de les Illes Balears

Un anacronisme latent i letal segueix minvant i posa en perill en alguns casos l’existència de les aus carronyaires i altres espècies de la fauna salvatge, tant a nivell mundial, com a nivell d’Illes. Es tracta de l’ús del verí per a l’eliminació de fauna competidora de l’activitat cinegètica o ramadera dels humans. Les xifres són alarmants i el que es coneix és només la punta de l’iceberg. Fan falta mesures contundents i actuacions dirigides a la detecció d’aquestes pràctiques i a la instrucció judicial dels casos. Poc a poc es va creant jurisprudència, en molts casos basada en les proves indiciàries que responsabilitzen penalment la persona o persones responsables de la gestió cinegètica. Tot i que les inspeccions pretenen localitzar esquers emmetzinats, hi ha un efecte preventiu molt important en aquesta tasca. També les sentències publicades tenen un efecte dissuasori molt important. A Balears, el problema, lluny d’estar eradicat, segueix latent i només amb la tasca inspectora i de divulgació de la problemàtica per part de l’Administració es podrà posar fi a aquesta pràctica pròpia d’altres temps
