This is a work about the collision of 3 celestial bodies which are aligned in a straight line, by following Newton's Gravitational Law. There is an introduction which shows the most important items of the general N-Body Problem in order to introduce the main concepts to work on with the main problem, which is the collinear 3-Body Problem. After this, at the conclusions we will see how the dynamics work for more than 3 bodies

El tema de los medios y su massmediación se convirtió en el lugar donde todo el poder ejecutivo, la oposición y la sociedad toda, esperábamos se resolvieran los conflictos. ¡Qué equivocados estábamos! Una cosa es que éste sea el tiempo del posicionamiento de los media, que los medios sirvan de reconocimiento y de identificación social y otra muy distinta es que desde ellos podamos encontrar salidas al conflicto. Lo único evidente que tenemos en nuestras manos y en nuestro sentir es que "estamos viviendo una experiencia-límite" no sólo de orden político, sino también de profundas raíces culturales

Sociedad civil, comunicación y política en el contexto venezolano

La sociedad civil venezolana ha ido creciendo cada vez más. Ya no son los medios con sus voces de difusión y/o excitación, ahora es la propia sociedad civil que se difunde como mensaje y medio a la vez. La acción política ya no se presentó como antaño con desprecio y asco. Si antes los medios jugaron a ese desprestigio, ahora la sociedad civil está apostando a la valorización de la política a través de sus actuaciones y llamado. Ella copa los hechos noticiosos, ella es noticiable como actor junto a la calle que es el espacio que ella a escogido en esta coyuntura que vivimos

El observador observado, o la realidad mediada por los medios y los periodistas

El ensayo se propone como objetivo fundamental “observar” al profesional de la comunicación, convertido en periodista, para entender como él asume y toma la realidad, como hecho o acontecer noticiable, y la estructura bajo la forma de relato comunicativo o periodístico. En ese sentido, la teoría de la mediación social de Manuel Martín Serrano nos sirve de excusa para explicar ese proceso. Desde esa perspectiva lo que hacemos es asumir la tesis de la mediación social y redefirnirla desde la óptica del periodista (el “observador”) y así entender la configuración narrativa que del proceso de mediación se des-prende. Finaliza el texto tocando el tema de la ética del “observador”. Asunto éste que debe estar presente en todo acto de mediación social, y en este caso de mediación comunicativa.The fundamental aim of this essay is to “observe” the communications professional in order to understand how the journalist approaches reality as a news-worthy event. It also tries to analyze the structure of the communicative or journalistic account. Manuel Martín Serrano’s theory of social mediation helps to explain this process. From this perspective, we assume the thesis of social mediation and redefine it from the journalist’s (the “observer”) view, allowing us to understand the narrative configuration which results from the mediation process. The text ends with the topic of the “observer’s” ethic, which should be present in any act of social mediation, being this case an act of communicative mediation

Mercury: using the QuPreSS reference model to evaluate predictive services

Nowadays, lots of service providers offer predictive services that show in advance a condition or occurrence about the future. As a consequence, it becomes necessary for service customers to select the predictive service that best satisfies their needs. The QuPreSS reference model provides a standard solution for the selection of predictive services based on the quality of their predictions. QuPreSS has been designed to be applicable in any predictive domain (e.g., weather forecasting, economics, and medicine). This paper presents Mercury, a tool based on the QuPreSS reference model and customized to the weather forecast domain. Mercury measures weather predictive services' quality, and automates the context-dependent selection of the most accurate predictive service to satisfy a customer query. To do so, candidate predictive services are monitored so that their predictions can be eventually compared to real observations obtained from a trusted source. Mercury is a proof-of-concept of QuPreSS that aims to show that the selection of predictive services can be driven by the quality of their predictions. Cuento el inicio, el progreso y las repercusiones de mi conocimiento de Vico en mi praxis intelectual y docente. Destaco su intencionalidad política, su concepción humanista de la educación cuya reivindicación es necesaria ahora, y de la Ciencia nueva destaco tres centros de interés: la edad de los dioses con su sabiduría poética, la historia de los famoli y la edad de los hombres cuya frágil estabilidad la pone en el peligro del recurso.I narrate the beginning, the progress and the repercussions of my knowledge of Vico in my intellectual and educational praxis. I emphasize its political intentionality, its humanistic conception of education, whose vindication is necessary now, and of the New science I emphasize three centers of interest: the age of the gods with their poetic wisdom, the history of the famoli and the age of the men, whose fragile estability puts it in danger of recource.Racconto l'inizio, il progresso e le ripercussioni della mia conoscenza del pensiero di Vico nella personale prassi intellettuale e d'insegnamento. Problems of fisheries management on the Patagonian shelf: A Decade After the 1982 Falklands (Malvinas) Conflict

The armed conflict between Argentina and Britain over the Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas) early in 1982, resulted in a confusing partition of the maritime area around these islands. The military strategies and policies developed by both countries during and after the war created an unclear situation regarding limits and jurisdictions, thus delaying managerial actions and regulation enforcement over the fishing resources of the area. Several foreign fishing fleets operating in the region at the time, took advantage of the lack of protective legislation and recognized authority, resulting in overfishing of species such as squid and hake. No significant control was implemented until 1986, when Argentina signed fishing treaties with the former USSR and Bulgaria in an effort to regulate fishing activities in Argentina\u27s claimed jurisdictional waters. This move was immediately followed by the British announcement that fishing licenses would be issued to interested foreign fishing vessels. The emerging management efforts, their political and economic significance, and their consequences for the fisheries on the Patagonian shelf are examined in this study
