    Student Work Attitude In Implementing Pastry Practices In The Family Welfare Education Study Program Padang State University

    The background of this research is the low work attitude of students of the Padang State University Family Welfare Education Study Program in the Implementation of Pastry Practices. This is assumed to be due to habits when learning online which makes students undisciplined in carrying out practices. The aim of the study was to describe the work attitudes of students in terms of discipline, responsibility, confidence, and concern for Family Welfare Education students. This type of research uses quantitative methods with a descriptive approach. The research population was 2020 Family Welfare Education students who had taken Pastry courses. The research sample is 74 people selected by Total Sampling. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire distributed via the Google form. Data analysis used descriptive analysis by categorizing assessments based on the average score and percentage of ratings. The results showed that the level of work attitude was in the low category, ranging from 65.6 to 90.2 (62.2%).Ā 

    Surveying Metacognitive Reading Strategies Awareness of Fifth-Semester English Department Students

    This article serves result on the survey for metacognitive awareness level of reading strategies use in academic reading by English department students of Syiah Kuala University (Unsyiah), Banda Aceh. The research measured their the respondentsā€™ use and preferences of strategies in academic reading by using the inventory designed by Mokhtari and Sheorey (2002) called SORS (Survey of Reading Strategies). A total of 46 fifth semester students of Unsyiah English Department became the respondents. Analysis from the data collection showed that the respondentā€™s possessed a medium level overall tendency of metacogntive reading strategy awareness. Meanwhile strategies such as ā€œgetting back concentrationā€ and ā€œre-readingā€ when text is difficult achieved high use frequencies.The result revealed that the problem-solving reading strategies was the most preferred subscales among the other two subscales, indicating the respondentsā€™ preference to use during-reading strategies

    As a management concept in the field of education management, School Based Management (SBM) was born in the midst of an era of freedom that has emerged since 2004. Through a central government policy that gives flexibility to each education unit in the region to manage their respective institutions. The aims of this article is to analyze: 1) Philosophical foundation of School Based Management (MBS) implementation at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Malang, 2) The role of school headmaster in improving the quality of Islamic Education at Muhammadiyah 4 SMP Malang. Therefore, this research uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study research. By using observations, interviews and documentation as data collection techniques, this study concludes namely: 1) The philosophical foundation of policy implementation in SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Malang refers to the vision and mission announced by the school, 2) The headmaster of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Malang has carried out a managerial process well. Melalui kebijakan pemerintah pusat yang memberi keleluasaan pada tiap satuan pendidikan di daerah untuk mengelola lembaganya masing-masing. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini ialah untuk menganalisis: 1) Landasan filosofis implementasi Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS) di SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Malang, 2) Peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Malang. Oleh karenanya, riset ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi sebagai teknik pengumpulan data, penelitian ini berkesimpulan antara lain: 1) Landasan filosofis implementasi kebijakan di SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Malang mengacu pada visi misi yang dicanangkan oleh sekolah, 2) Kepala SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Malang telah melakukan proses manajerial dengan baik. Namun, pada tahapan evaluation terdapat beberapa aktivitas yang belum dilakukan proses evaluasi dengan baik, sehingga tidak mampu menemukan letak kekurangan dalam proses kegiatan yang dilakukan.     Based on observations and documentation, it is found that in SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Singosari Malang in the last three years the number of students has decreased. From 2016 with a number of students totaling 180 people, decreased in 2017 to 160 people and in 2018 to 150 students. This phenomenon is the focus of the problem so this research aims to analyze the role of the headmaster of the Muhammadiyah 4 Junior High School in Singosari Malang in improving the quality of education through school-based management. This research uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study. Muhammadiyah 4 Junior High School Singosari was used as the object of research. The results of the study stated that: 1) The headmaster of Muhammadiyah 4 Junior High School had performed the managerial task well. The planning aspect is done by placing the human resources of educators according to their competencies. In the aspect of implementation and supervision the school principal is fully responsible. In the aspect of administration evaluation done well, but in the aspect of indicators, it has not been clearly determined in each semester / year. 2) There are two obstacles experienced by school principals, namely non-permanent human resources in schools and infrastructure facilities especially the PAI laboratory for the means of knowledge and development of PAI in schools

    This study aims to determine the effect of service quality, interest rates, income, education, and the effect of the type of work on the decision to take credit at BPR Syariah Dana Amanah Surakarta. This research was conducted because there were inconsistencies in the results of the decision to take credit in previous studies. The population in this study are BPR Syariah Dana Amanah Surakarta customers in 2019 with a total of 2,539 people. The types of data in this study are primary data and secondary data by distributing questionnaires to respondents which contain a list of questions. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis techniques. This analysis is used to determine the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The results of the study show that service quality, interest rates, income, education, type of work have a partially significant effect on the decision to take credit

    International Teaching Internship: Development of Pre-Service Teachersā€™ Competences

    Teachersā€™ competences should be shaped from a very early stage of their training (MĆ¢Å£Äƒ, Cmeciu, & Ghiaţău, 2013). For that reason, pre-service teachers are required to get involved in teaching internships and gain professional experience from training programs and workshops. These experiences are assets for these pre-service teachers when they resume teaching positions upon graduation. The present narrative study, therefore, aims to investigate the benefits of international teaching internship, known as South-East Asian Teacher (henceforth SEA-Teacher Program) on Indonesian pre-service English teachersā€™ identity and competence development. There were four male and four female participants of SEA-Teacher program participated in the study. The data for this study was generated through in-depth semi-structured phone and email interviews. The study reveals that this program has developed personal competences of the pre-service teachers, in which they improve self-confidence, coping mechanisms, and time management skill. The ā€œSEA-Teacherā€ also improved pre-service teachersā€™ professional competences, such as development of communicative competence, pedagogical skills, new worldviews on education, career goals and new opportunities. The program also benefited these pre-service teachersā€™ understanding of different cultures, strengthening global-networking and promoting respect. The findings also indicated that SEA Teachersā€™ competences need to be further developed. Given the significant relationship between teaching competences and teaching internship at international level, it is necessary to promote the SEA-Teacher personal and professional competence. These competences are advised to be reinforced, with more emphasis on weaker domains

    Potensi Karbon Berbasis Pekarangan di Kampung Mubraidiba Kabupaten Manokwari

    Identifikasi potensi biomasa dan karbon penting dalam upaya kontribusi menjaga keseimbangan lingkungan global. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besaran potensi karbon pekarangan di kampung Mubraidiba. Metode yang digunakan ialah deskriptif dengan teknik observasi lapang yang dilakukan secara sensus terhadap seluruh tanaman pertanian, perkebunan dan kehutanan yang selanjutnya dibagi berdasarkan keleas diameter. Persamaan alometrik digunakan untuk menduga besaran nilai biomasa yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik dan jenis tanaman yang ditemukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis-jenis tanaman di pekarangan kampung Mubraidiba dilakukan pada 2 (dua) kelas diameter, yaitu kelas diameter 5-30 cm dan kelas diameter 30 cm up. Selain itu, pengelompokan tanaman juga dilakukan berdasarkan jenis tanaman kehutanan, pertanian dan perkebunan dengan jumlah jenis tanaman pertanian dan perkebunan pada kelas diameter 5 - 30 cm lebih banyak (66,67%) dibanding jenis tanaman kehutanan (33,33%). Selain itu, fungsi antara kebun campuran dan pekarangan sedikit berbeda antara kebun campuran dengan tujuan produktivitas dan pekarangan dengan fungsi produktivitas dan fungsi keindahan serta Kenyamanan tinggal. Rata-rata nilai biomasa pohon untuk kelas diameter 5-30 cm adalah 1,9951 ton/pekarangan, sedangkan rata-rata  biomasa tanaman pertanian sebesar 1,7035 ton/pekarangan. Rata-rata total nilai karbon pohon diameter 5-30 cm sebesar 2,6994 ton/pekarangan, sementara stok karbon pada tanaman kehutanan rata-rata dengan diameter 5 ā€“ 30 cm sebesar 3,7898 ton, sedangkan stok karbon tanaman pertanian dan perkebunan rata-rata sebesar 0,8518 ton/pekarangan.  &nbsp
