The Impact of The United States-China Trade War on The Rest of World Economy

This study discusses the impact of the trade war between China and the United States due to the heating up of relations between the two countries and its impact on the Rest of the World (ROW), which will be seen based on economic performance through GDP, import exports, and employment. Using GTAP software by performing two simulations, the results of simulation 1 value of Real GDP of Rest of World decreased. The highest labor absorption was in the TextWapp sector, with the highest exports in the LightMnfc sector, in simulation 2 the value of Real GDP of Rest of the World increased, absorption the highest workforce in the TransComm sector, with the highest exports in the TransComm sector. The trade war between the United States and China affects the world economy globally, as evidenced by changes in the increase and decrease in GDP, employment and commodity exports in the rest of the world. Keanekaragaman Serangga Permukaan Tanah pada Beberapa Zonasi di hutan Gunung Geulis Sumedang

Hutan merupakan sumber daya alam yang sangat potensial dalam mendukung keanekaragaman flora dan fauna. Salah satu keanekaragaman dan sumber daya hutan adalah serangga yang hidup di atas permukaan tanah. Serangga permukaan tanah berperan dalam proses dekomposisi. Proses dekomposisi yang berlangsungdapat juga memberikan pengaruh terhadap kemantapan struktur tanah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi berbagai jenis serangga permukaan tanah di Hutan Gunung Geulis dan untuk mengetahui faktor lingkungan yang mempengaruhi perbedaan jenis serangga permukaan tanah pada beberapa zonasi di Hutan Gunung Geulis. Penelitian ini akan dilaksanakan di Hutan Gunung Geulisdan laboratorium Biologi, Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi, Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung akan dilaksanakan selama bulan Januari 2014 - Mei 2014. Penelitian ini menggunakanmetodesurveiyaitu pengambilan sampel serangga secara langsung dengan menggunakan perangkap pitfalltrapdalam waktu satu hari dengan memasang 30 perangkap setiap zonasi, kemudian diidentifikasi dan dianalisa sampai tingkat famili. Serangga permukaan tanah pada zonasi 1 didapatkan 7 ordodengan 14familia (1001 individu), sedangkanpadazonasi 2 didapatkan6ordodengan13familia (1077 individu). Secara umum keanekaragaman serangga permukaan tanah pada zonasi 1 lebih tinggi dibandingkan zonasi 2. Faktor lingkungan sangat mempengaruhi keberadaan serangga permukaan tanah

Pengaruh Kualitas Produk, Harga, Dan Citra Merek Terhadap Preferensi Pembelian Cokelat Silverqueen Sebagai Produk Lokal Buatan Indonesia

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kualitas produk, harga, dan citra merek terhadap preferensi pembelian cokelat SilverQueen sebagai produk lokal buatan Indonesia. Dalam konteks citra merek, penelitian ini mempertimbangkan bagaimana persepsi konsumen terhadap produk lokal dibandingkan dengan merek internasional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam kepada konsumen cokelat SilverQueen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas produk, harga yang bersaing, dan identitas sebagai produk lokal memberikan dampak positif terhadap preferensi pembelian konsumen. The Influence of Brand Trust on The Decision of Repurchasing Sari Roti Product (Case Study on Sari Roti Consumers)

Bakery companies in Indonesia are increasingly competitive, each company is required to develop skills and formulate appropriate and measurable marketing strategies to ensure business continuity and maintain brand trust . When customers have confidence in the brand, repeat buying behavior will be created. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Brand Trust on the Decision to Purchase Sari Roti Products. This study used descriptive and verification methods with a quantitative research approach. The sampling technique of this research is probability sampling with random sampling technique using the formula Isaac and Michael. The types of data used in this study are primary and secondary data. The data is processed using SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) software . The results of this study prove that Brand Trust has a significant effect on Repurchase Decisions

PERBEDAAN KEANEKARAGAMAN DAN KOMPOSISI DARI SERANGGA PERMUKAAN TANAH PADA BEBERAPA ZONASI DI HUTAN GUNUNG GEULIS SUMEDANG

Keanekaragaman merupakan salah satu indikator kestabilan suatu komunitas. Salah satu sumber daya yang berperan dalam komunitas adalah serangga permukaan tanah. Serangga sebagai salah satu komponen keanekaragaman hayati memiliki peranan penting dalam jaring makanan yaitu, sebagai herbivor, karnivor, dan detrivor. Hutan Gunung Geulis yang sebagian dikelola masyarakat berpengaruh pada kelimpahan, distribusi dan keanekaragaman jenis biota penghuni Hutan termasuk serangga permukaan tanah. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman, kelimpahan dan distribusi serangga permukaan tanah pada dua zonasi di Hutan Gunung Geulis yang berbatasan dengan desa Jatiroke. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Januari hingga Februari 2014 dengan menggunakan metode survei yaitu pengambilan sampel serangga secara langsung dengan menggunakan pitfall trap. Setiap zonasi dipasang 30 pitfall trap. Jebakan dipasang selama 24 jam dan dilakukan sampling setiap satu minggu sekali selama 5 minggu. Selain itu juga mencatat faktor lingkungan seperti kelembaban tanah, pH tanah, dan ketebalan seresah. Hasil penelitian didapat pada zona 2 (600 mdpl) terdapat jumlah individu serangga yang relatif lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan zona 1 (400 mdpl), dengan komposisi serangga 7 ordo dengan 14 famili dari (1001 individu) pada zona 1, sedangkan pada zona 2 didapatkan 6 ordo dengan 13 famili dari (1077 individu). Adanya perbedaan pH tanah, ketebalan serasah, serta vegetasi pada kedua zona tersebut memungkinkan adanya perbedaan keanekaragaman dan komposisi serangga tanah

Colloquial Malaysian English (CMalE) : a problem or a cool phenomenon?

Curs: 2014/2015The phenomenon of Colloquial Malaysian English (CMalE), or Manglish as known by Malaysians, is a long-debated topic on whether the usages of this form of English butchers the purity of the language itself, that is, of the native speakers; or, if it is a cool phenomenon. This research article attempts to present an analysis on CMalE with the purpose to find out if the usage of this form of English would affect the purity of the English language for Malaysian English speakers, or if this is just a cultural phenomenon that does not affect the interlocutor's ability to use the language in the standard form when the occasion arises.El fenómeno acuñado como 'inglés malasio coloquial' o Manglish, como se conoce comúnmente entre los malasios, se halla en el centro del debate desde hace mucho tiempo. Multilevel authentication for social network

Nowadays, social network plays a vital role in communication. Normally user used social networks in daily activities. However, this left all online users susceptible to misuse and abuse. Recently, there has been a remarkable growth in number of hacking as well. Once the computer is online, anyone can have access to the network. Therefore, we proposed a secure social network site called SocialBook where users can post status, photos and connect with friends. This system is developed using PHP programming language and Iterative and Incremental Development methodology. The purpose of developing this system is to solve unsecured login accounts and lack of user authentication problem. This system applies the secret question procedure when the user wants to change their account password. Moreover, SocialBook use idle session timeout mechanism for additional security. When the user is idle for ten minutes, they will be logged out automatically. So, the user will be less worry about their account from being hacked and the identity impersonation by unauthorized user

EXPLORING THE PERCEPTIONS AND EXPERIENCE OF THEORY-PRACTICE GAP (TPG) IN NURSING AMONG UNIMAS UNDERGRADUATE NURSING STUDENTS: A QUALITATIVE STUDY

Background: An existence of gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application is known as Theory-Practice Gap (TPG). Theory-Practice Gap occurs when nurse practitioners, including student nurses and newly graduated nurses, are unable to fully apply theoretical knowledge acquired into real-life clinical settings. Several studies stated that TPG is a global phenomenon and not a new thing. The aim of this study is to explore the perceptions and experience of TPG in nursing among UNIMAS undergraduate nursing students. Methods: This qualitative study recruited participants via purposive sampling to explore the perceptions and experiences of TPG in nursing among UNIMAS undergraduate nursing students using semi-structured, face-to-face interviews. Thematic analysis was used for data analysis. Findings: Nursing students perceived TPG in relation to workplace environment, lack of resources and nurse educators’ involvement. The nursing students experienced an impact of facing cognitive discomfort and lacking in skills development due to the existence of TPG. Recommendations in bridging TPG among nursing students in nursing education includes nurse educators’ approach, alteration in curriculum content and resource provision. Conclusion: Theory-practice gap is a crucial issue in nursing education. The nursing faculty should be made aware of the factors leading to TPG and the impact of TPG towards nursing students

Efektivitas Pendidikan Gizi melalui Media Booklet terhadap Pengetahuan, Sikap dan Konsumsi Junk Food pada Siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas

Latar Belakang: Remaja adalah masa transisi dalam periode anak ke periode dewasa yang rawan mengalami masalah gizi. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah konsumsi junk food. Peran media dalam promosi kesehatan adalah sarana membangun suasana kondusif terhadap perubahan perilaku kesehatan. Booklet merupakan media penyampai pesan yang dapat disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan remaja dan dapat dikombinasikan dengan gambar sehingga menarik perhatian. Hal ini menjadi alasan pemilihan booklet sebagai media edukasi. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pendidikan gizi terhadap pengetahuan, sikap dan konsumsi junk food Metode: Rancangan penelitian adalah quasi eksperimental dengan Control group pretest posttest design. Pendidikan gizi dilakukan selama 4 kali. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 4 Purwokerto dan SMA Negeri 5 Purwokerto. Jumlah sampel 52 orang untuk masing-masing kelompok. Uji statistik menggunakan uji wilcoxon dan mann whitney. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada perbedaan pengetahuan, sikap dan konsumsi junk food sebelum dan setelah pendidikan gizi pada kelompok perlakuan p=0,000(<α0,05). Peningkatan tingkat pengetahuan sebesar 36,1%, sikap sebesar 39,6% dan penurunan konsumsi junk food sebesar 48,9%. Kesimpulan: Terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan, sikap dan konsumsi junk food setelah diberikan pendidikan gizi melalui media booklet

A Review of the Efficacy and Safety of Litramine IQP-G-002AS, an Opuntia ficus-indica

Sedentary lifestyle and caloric overconsumption are the key determinants of the escalating obesity prevalence. Reducing dietary fat absorption may help to induce a negative energy balance and thus help in managing weight problem. Apart from approved drug therapies, weight problems may also be aided with alternative and natural treatments. This paper compiled and reviewed the efficacy and safety of Litramine IQP-G-002AS, an Opuntia ficus-indica (OFI) derived fiber, in reducing dietary fat absorption and promoting weight loss. Evidence reviewed shows that Litramine IQP-G-002AS displays efficacy in promoting fat excretion and weight loss in four randomized, placebo-controlled clinical studies (including an unpublished pilot study). With a daily dosage of 3 g over a seven-day period, Litramine IQP-G-002AS showed an increased faecal fat excretion compared with placebo (15.8% (SD 5.8%) versus 4.6% (SD 3.1%); P < 0.001). In a 12-week study, significant greater weight loss (3.8 kg (SD 1.8 kg) versus 1.4 kg (SD 2.6 kg); P < 0.001) was observed in overweight and obese subjects treated with Litramine IQP-G-002AS as compared to placebo. No relevant gastrointestinal side effects have been reported for Litramine IQP-G-002AS at the dosages studied
