Nice connecting paths in connected components of sets of algebraic elements in a Banach algebra

Generalizing earlier results about the set of idempotents in a Banach algebra, or of self-adjoint idempotents in a $C^*$-algebra, we announce constructions of nice connecting paths in the connected components of the set of elements in a Banach algebra, or of self-adjoint elements in a $C^*$-algebra, that satisfy a given polynomial equation, without multiple roots. In particular, we will prove that in the Banach algebra case every such non-central element lies on a complex line, all of whose points satisfy the given equation. Applying the principles of sustainability in cultural heritage objects care: the case study of cuneiform tablet

This paper discusses application of sustainability principles in the care of museum’s collections and more specifically, in the case of cuneiform tablet collection. The principles of sustainability are inherently present in the idea of memory institutions and their rules of collection preservation. This paper shows how digitalization of collections and the new ways of data storage are well suited for reaching goals of preservation of the collection for future and simultaneously widening access to the collection for those interested. Tato práce se zabývá novou verzí technologií Silverlight pro internetové aplikace. Popisuje základní funkce a jejich použití. Popsáno je také pracovní prostředí, postup instalace důležitých programů, díky kterým pak můžeme vytvořit vlastní jednoduchou aplikaci. Jako praktická podpora a zároveň ukázka použití technologie Silverlight je vytvořena a popsána Silverlight aplikace. Celá práce je koncipována jako návod pro uživatele, kteří se chtějí naučit základy práce s touto technologií.This thesis deals with a new version of technology called Silverlight that is used for internet applications. It describes its basic functions and their usage. Occupational environment, installation process of important programs, which we can use to create our own elementary application, are also described. As a practical support and an exhibition of using the Silverlight technology there is a created and described Silverlight applicaton. Synthesis and reactivity of titanocene components for polymerization catalysts

Byly syntetizovány řady nových titanocenových komplexů pro přípravu katalyzátorů pro polymerace olefinů na polymery se specifickými vlastnostmi nebo určené ke studiu reaktivity visících dvojných vazeb. Řada těchto komplexů v kombinaci s metylalumoxanem poskytla aktivní katalyzátory pro přípravu syndiotaktického polystyrenu. Přítomnost visící dvojné vazby neovlivnila významně ani polymerační aktivitu ani molekulární hmotnost polymeru. Byla nalezena originální cesta k přípravě ansa-titanocendichloridů s 1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxanovým můstkem spočívající v hydrolýze vazeb Si-N.Dokončená práce s úspěšnou obhajobo
