Phase transitions in the ordered compound TiAl and in alloys having it as a base

    Get PDF
The combined effect of alloying and heat treatment on the order-disorder transition in TiAl of stoichiometric composition was investigated. It is concluded from the data obtained that the TiAl 1 to TiAl 2 transition is a phase transition of the second kind. A phase transition was observed in TiAl of equiatomic composition in the 450-550 C temperature range. The introduction of niobium into the ordered compound TiAl of stoichiometric composition, instead of titanium or aluminum atoms, leads to partial softening. In this case, the effect of niobium atoms on softening of the alloys was greater when the niobium was introduced in place of aluminum atoms

Energetický BIM model bude posouzen, porovnán a vysvětlen jaké možnosti nabízí BIM v tomto směruThis master´s thesis aims to elaborate on the design documentation for an office building with nearly zero - energy consumption. The building is located in Ostrava - Moravská Ostrava. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The first part is focused on architectural and structural design. The office building has two main parts. The first floor is a composes a café and building services of the building. The second and third floors contain meeting rooms, a printer room, and open-space offices. The Café employs 3 baristas and serves 32 customers. The office section has a capacity of 56 people. The ground plan of the designed building is in an L-shape. The building has a flat green roof. The external walls are made of aerated concrete insulated with mineral wool. The second part deals with the building services of the building: boiler, ventilation, heat pump, and photovoltaic panels. The third part deals with the information from the BIM energetic model to create a more productive workflow and using modern technology for our benefit.

Achievements in the computer engineering sphere leaded to appearance of many scientific and technical directions, among of which the direction of mathematical and computer modeling is emphasized. Modern technical devices of automation and informational measuring equipment are created on the base of this direction. The special software is designed to provide the solution of the different problems in this sphere. The future specialists must be able use the worked out application programs and expand these programs by own ones to reach the respective purposes. As a rule, the application packages have the module structure. For example, some numerical method of calculus mathematic may represent the module by the respective program (Newton’s method for the numerical solution of the system of nonlinear algebraic equations, Runge – Kutt’s method of the numerical solution of the system of the differential equations, the least – squares method, ets.)

Optimization of the Regression Ensemble Size

    Get PDF
Ensemble learning algorithms such as bagging often generate unnecessarily large models, which consume extra computational resources and may degrade the generalization ability. Pruning can potentially reduce ensemble size as well as improve performance; however, researchers have previously focused more on pruning classifiers rather than regressors. This is because, in general, ensemble pruning is based on two metrics: diversity and accuracy. Many diversity metrics are known for problems dealing with a finite set of classes defined by discrete labels. Therefore, most of the work on ensemble pruning is focused on such problems: classification, clustering, and feature selection. For the regression problem, it is much more difficult to introduce a diversity metric. In fact, the only such metric known to date is a correlation matrix based on regressor predictions. This study seeks to address this gap. First, we introduce the mathematical condition that allows checking whether the regression ensemble includes redundant estimators, i.e., estimators, whose removal improves the ensemble performance. Developing this approach, we propose a new ambiguity-based pruning (AP) algorithm that bases on error-ambiguity decomposition formulated for a regression problem. To check the quality of AP, we compare it with the two methods that directly minimize the error by sequentially including and excluding regressors, as well as with the state-of-art Ordered Aggregation algorithm. Experimental studies confirm that the proposed approach allows reducing the size of the regression ensemble with simultaneous improvement in its performance and surpasses all compared methods

The aim of this book is to help students to master the theory and methods of solving problems in applied electricity. The book contains typical problem solutions which give better insight into the theory and the physical nature of various phenomena, suggest different approaches to the problems, and illustrates the application of various theoretical principles. The author has tried to follow a middle path between rigor and completeness on one hand and application to practical situations on the other. The order in which the topics appear is that found mostly successful in long experience of teaching the subject. Getting through the course “ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING FUNDATION” the students may find this work of assistance in preparing for the examination. The teachers may also find it useful

The subject of this bachelor thesis is to elaborate project documentation for an apartment building. It is located in the biggest town in the Moravskoslezsky region, Ostrava, in particular Mariánské hory. The apartment building is to elaborate like a self-standing building. It is in a rectangle shape and it contains four above-ground floors with a basement. It has got 14 dwelling units with 2+KK and 3+KK disposition. Two of the dwelling units on the second and the third floor have got a balcony. Every dwelling unit has got basement storage bin. The basement also contains a utility room, common room, workroom, bicycle room, and pram room. The apartment building stands on a strip foundation. The whole construction of the apartment building is from concrete and masonry. The horizontal load-bearing structure is from a prestressed concrete floor slab. The roof is to elaborate like a flat green roof. Part of the roof involves a terrace. The subject contains a car park, a place for municipal waste, a place for recreation (garden), and a walkway to the existing road infrastructure. These parts of the building are only for residents of the building.
