On fractional iterates of a Brouwer homeomorphism embeddable in a flow

AbstractWe present a method for finding continuous (and consequently homeomorphic) orientation preserving iterative roots of a Brouwer homeomorphism which is embeddable in a flow. To obtain the roots we use a countable family of maximal parallelizable regions of the flow which is a cover of the plane. The maximal parallelizable regions are unions of equivalence classes of an appropriate equivalence relation. We show that if an equivalence class is invariant under the nth iterate of a Brouwer homeomorphism g, then it is invariant under g. We use this fact to prove that each maximal parallelizable region of the flow must be invariant under all homeomorphic orientation preserving iterative roots of the given Brouwer homeomorphism

On Strongly Irregular Points of a Brouwer Homeomorphism Embeddable in a Flow

We study the set of all strongly irregular points of a Brouwer homeomorphism f which is embeddable in a flow. We prove that this set is equal to the first prolongational limit set of any flow containing f. We also give a sufficient condition for a class of flows of Brouwer homeomorphisms to be topologically conjugate

Płk w st. spocz., dr hab. Jerzy Konieczny, prof. Uniwersytetu Opolskiego (13 sierpnia 1950 – 27 lipca 2020) Po ukończeniu chemii na Wydziale Matematyki, Fizyki i Chemii Uniwersytetu Śląskiego w Katowicach i uzyskaniu tytułu magistra (w zakresie chemii) zatrudnił się w Zakładzie Kryminalistyki na Wydziale Prawa i Administracji tegoż Uniwersytetu, na etacie technicznym. W 1979 roku, po uzyskaniu stopnia doktora na Uniwersytecie Wrocławskim (Ekspertyza dokumentów sporządzonych pismem ręcznym na papierach syntetycznych – promotor: doc. dr hab. Zdzisław Kegel), przeszedł na etat adiunkta. W 1990 roku, na podstawie pracy Pojęcie prawdopodobieństwa ze stanowiska procesu karnego i kryminalistyki, uzyskał stopień doktora habilitowanego nauk prawnych na Uniwersytecie Śląskim. W międzyczasie, po odbytych studiach zaocznych na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim, uzyskał tytuł magistra prawa. Obok pracy na Uniwersytecie Śląskim, w latach 1988–1989 był kierownikiem Zakładu Kryminalistyki Instytutu Ekspertyz Sądowych w Krakowie. Był jednym ze współzałożycieli Klubu Inteligencji Katolickiej w Katowicach, członkiem „Solidarności”. W sierpniu 1990 roku został szefem delegatury Urzędu Ochrony Państwa w Katowicach, a w 1991 roku zastępcą szefa urzędu. Przez okres, kiedy MSW kierował Antoni Macierewicz, odszedł z urzędu i został podsekretarzem stanu w Kancelarii Prezydenta RP Lecha Wałęsy. W czerwcu 1992 roku został szefem UOP. Z funkcji tej zrezygnował w grudniu 1993 roku. Założył wtedy firmę ochroniarsko-detektywistyczną Konsalnet. W 1995 roku objął na krótko tekę Ministra Spraw Wewnętrznych w gabinecie Józefa Oleksego. W 1997 roku bezskutecznie kandydował do Sejmu. Od tego momentu wycofał się z działalności politycznej, poświęcając swój czas pracy naukowej i biznesowi (wykaz Jego publikacji naukowych znajduje się na stronach 9–17). W tym czasie był również nauczycielem akademickim (profesorem uczelnianym) w Uczelni Łazarskiego w Warszawie, Krakowskiej Akademii im. On Boundaries of Parallelizable Regions of Flows of Free Mappings

We are interested in the first prolongational limit set of the boundary of parallelizable regions of a given flow of the plane which has no fixed points. We prove that for every point from the boundary of a maximal parallelizable region, there exists exactly one orbit contained in this region which is a subset of the first prolongational limit set of the point. Using these uniquely determined orbits, we study the structure of maximal parallelizable regions

On homeomorphic and diffeomorphic solutions of the Abel equation on the plane

We consider the Abel equation φ[f(x)] = φ(x) + a on the plane ℝ², where f is a free mapping (i.e. f is an orientation preserving homeomorphism of the plane onto itself with no fixed points). We find all its homeomorphic and diffeomorphic solutions φ having positive Jacobian. Moreover, we give some conditions which are equivalent to f being conjugate to a translation

On the Structure of Brouwer Homeomorphisms Embeddable in a Flow

We present two theorems describing the structure of the set of all regular points and the set of all irregular points for a Brouwer homeomorphism which is embeddable in a flow. The theorems are counterparts of structure theorems proved by Homma and Terasaka. To obtain our results, we use properties of the codivergence relation

Neoprotestáns és katolikus tanúságtételek a korpuszalapú diskurzuselemzés perspektívájából

Jelen tanulmány tárgya evangelizáló tanúságtételek komparatív elemzése római katolikus (a Deon.pl internetes portál) és protestáns – pünkösdi-karizmatikus (a Chrześcijanin folyóirat stb.) források alapján. A szerzők a korpusznyelvészet eszközeinek felhasználásával rávilágítanak a két korpusz közötti eltérésekre. Érdekesnek bizonyult a „bűn területeinek” rekonstruálása – a rossznak, amit az Isten segítségével a tanúságot tevő emberek legyőztek. Ez két eltérő terület: a katolikus tanúságtételek esetén a szerelem–szex–aszkézis fogalmak köré épül a szemantikai mező. A pünkösdi tanúságtételek az élvezeti cikkek–függőség– patológia fogalmak köré összpontosulnak. A két részből álló kutatás (a korpuszon végzett gyakoriság- és a kulcsszóelemzés, valamint a leglényegesebb kollokációk vizuális bemutatása) eredményeképpen következtetések vonhatók le azokról a domináns jelentéstartományokról, amik meghatározzák a keresztény egyház e két ágához tartozó hívek vallásos életének mentális térképét

Wyobraźnia strategiczna w biznesie

The article includes the presentation of results of statutory research on strategic imagination consisting in conducting interviews with students of postgraduate management studies with the use of a questionnaire and analysis of secondary sources, i.e. reports of consulting companies as well as newspapers interviews with presidents of companies on their vision of development of the companies they manage, desired managerial competences indispensable in management and development of the future of business. As a result of the conducted research we determined its scope, i.e. the width and depth of the cognitive perspective concerning the environment of the company and its most important resourcesconstituting the basis for designing changes in its strategy.Artykuł zawiera prezentację wyników badań statutowych nt. wyobraźni strategicznej w biznesie. Badanie polegało na przeprowadzeniu wywiadów z uczestnikami dwóch podyplomowych studiów menedżerskich przy wykorzystaniu kwestionariusza i analizy źródeł wtórnych, tj. raportów firm konsultingowych a także z artykułów prasowych – wywiadów z prezesami spółek na temat ich wizji rozwoju przedsiębiorstw, którymi kierują, pożądanych kompetencji kierowniczych niezbędnych w zarządzaniu i kształtowaniu przyszłości biznesu. W wyniku przeprowadzonych badań określono zakres wyobraźni strategicznej, tj. szerokość i głębokość perspektywy poznawczej dotyczącej otoczenia przedsiębiorstwa i jego najważniejszych zasobów, stanowiących podstawę projektowania zmian w jego strategii
