Homo europeicus naszych czasów. Transformacja europejskiej tożsamości

This article explains the origins of European identity, contemporary Homo Europeicus and transformation of European identity. It describes, in a synthetic form, the symbolic sources of European identity like ancient Greek philosophy, Roman law, Christian religion, Barbarian aspects of civilisation and the Age of Enlightenment. It as well describes the circumstances and causes of the crisis of Latin civilization and traditional European Identity in relation to the population boom of Muslims in the Western Europe. Further on, it concludes with an outlook on the role of Postmodernism, Islam, Christian evolutionism, Neo-pagan religion, New Age Movement and Consumptionism in the transformation process of the traditional EuropeanIdentity. Conclusion is an attempt to exemplify the style of Andrzej Wierciński’s scientific approach. This part presents his concept of the peculiarity of the specific human nature which is polarized into the animal side versus the human potential.Artykuł traktuje o genezie tożsamości europejskiej, współczesnym Homo Europeicus i transformacji europejskiej tożsamości. Opisuje w syntetyczny sposób takie symboliczne źródła tożsamości europejskiej, jak filozofia starożytnych Greków, prawo rzymskie, religia chrześcijańska, barbarzyńskie aspekty cywilizacji oraz epoka Oświecenia. Opisuje także okoliczności i przyczyny kryzysu cywilizacji łacińskiej i tradycyjnej tożsamości europejskiej w relacji do demograficznego wyżu w ramach społeczności muzułmańskiej w zachodniej Europie. Odnosi się również do tego, jaką rolę odegrał postmodernizm, islam, ewolucjonizm chrześcijański, religijność neopogańska, Ruch Nowej Ery oraz konsumpcjonizm w procesie transformacji tradycyjnej tożsamości europejskiej. Zakończenie jest próbą przedstawienia specyfiki podejścia naukowego Andrzeja Wiercińskiego. W tej części zaprezentowano jego koncepcję przedstawiającą osobliwość specyfiki natury ludzkiej z jego polaryzacją na stronę zwierzęcą i potencjał człowieczeństwa

Miasto w Lailonii. Uwagi scenarzysty

The article discusses the role of the city in Tales from the Kingdom of Lailonia by the philosopher Leszek Kołakowski, and in the animated film series Fourteen Tales from the Kingdom of Lailonia by Leszek Kołakowski, which is an adaptation of the book. The article is written from the point of view of the originator of the adaptation and the screenwriter of all the films in the series. The author examines the historical and ideological context of L. Kołakowski’s writing the Tales … and analyzes the role of the city understood as the setting of the plot (topos) and the venue for an exchange of ideas (agora) and for the community (polis); he does so on three levels: that of the literary original, the screenplay adaptation, and the film. He also examines the role of the city in those senses for the drama of the individual films, the philosophical and esthetic premises of the role, and – in these contexts – the relations between the selected films and their screenplays.A city in Lailonia. Dwugłos o poznańskim Studiu Filmów Animowanych

The article relates to the studio both as an institution which has operated for three decades in different economic systems and various legal and organisations forms and as a creative team that has made films. The authors are: Ewa Sobolewska, a film producer associated with the Studio since the very beginning, its president for over ten years to date, and Jan Zamojski, an academic and script writer cooperating with the Studio as the author of adaptations and scripts for the films of the series Fourteen Tales from the Kingdom of Lailonia by Leszek Kołakowski. The article adopts a perspective of Production Culture studies initiated by J.T. Caldwell, with the use of the so-called emic perspective and a narrative interview. It is composed of a methodological part and authors’ comments to the questions they posed to each other. The narratives provide impressions from the period of developing the concept of the film and from the film set itself. They also contain more general self-reflections on the role of the script writer and the role of the producer in the creation of a film and reflections on the role of the Poznań Studio of Animation Films for the culture of film, including its local aspect.Artykuł dotyczy tego studia zarówno jako instytucji, która w ciągu trzydziestu kilku lat funkcjonowała w różnych systemach ekonomicznych i w różnych formach organizacyjno-prawnych, jak i jako zespołu twórczego, dzięki któremu powstawały i powstają filmy. Jego autorami są: Ewa Sobolewska, producent filmowy, związana ze studiem od początków jego istnienia, a od kilkunastu lat jego prezes, i Jan Zamojski, pracownik naukowy i scenarzysta, związany ze studiem jako pomysłodawca adaptacji i autor scenariuszy filmów z cyklu 14 bajek z królestwa Lailonii Leszka Kołakowskiego. Artykuł napisany jest z pozycji badań kultury produkcji, wyznaczonej przez J.T. Caldwella, przy przyjęciu tzw. perspektywy emic i wykorzystaniu narzędzia wywiadu narracyjnego. Zawiera część metodologiczną oraz wypowiedzi autorów, które powstały jako komentarze do zagadnień, jakie przedstawili sobie nawzajem. The reactions of carbonyl cyanide with butadiene or 2,3-dimethylbutadiene have been studoied. In either case there was found to take place diene condensation leading to corresponding derivatives of dihydropyran. Dihydropyran derivatives synthesis was also found to occur when die thylmesoxalate was condensed with the dienes. The correctness of the structure of the adducts obtained was established by degradation experiments
